- Family, friends, and community leaders speak at a news conference addressing the death of Ajike Shantrell Owens, commonly referred to as "AJ" Owens. The Florida mother of four was shot and killed by a neighbor, according to authorities.
Speakers included: Anthony D. Thomas, one of the attorneys representing the family of AJ Owens; Pamela Dias, mother of AJ Owens; Kimberly Robinson-Jones, best friend of AJ Owens; Bishop J. David Stockton III, president of the Marion County Chapter of the NAACP; Jerone A. Gamble, first vice president of the Marion County Chapter of the NAACP; Rev. I understand what it's like to lose your parents at a very young age and the impact it has over you. I was the same age as AJ 's oldest child when my mother was taken from this world. A few years later my father also passed. I definitely mean no harm to this family! I've prayed for this family everyday since this tragedy happened!

She hadn’t even been charged for assault towards children when she threw a pair of ice skates, that have sharp thin blades, that can cause severe damage by slicing open your head, face, and the slivers blades on ice skates have killed before..
So, she she should have charged with severe assault that could cause severe damage, or even death. There was no stand your ground, because, the woman who was killed didn’t have a weapon, was not threatening to kill. The feared for her life, couldn’t be used, because, the woman had no weapon, was not threatening her with taking her life, and shot through a closed door, that bullet could have killed, injured a child person not standing at the door.
So, there were many charges she should have received,, if they say that she was justified in shooting her weapon.
We know now, that she has threatened the lives of the children, her and other neighbors, and had threatened them with a weapon while they were playing in the areas they are aloud to play, it wasn’t her property, she was renting, and had done thing’s like this in other areas she had lived. I feel so*ry for people li*e u.

Let this be a life lesson. If a neighbor hurts your child and you want to confront the neighbor, as you absolutely should, please don’t go alone! Take the police with you! It’s not worth losing your life, because dead means dead. You don’t get a second chance to wake up, and reflect on how you shouldn’t have gone alone. Always be on guard, especially when you have children!! Don’t let your emotions run the show. Your emotions may be valid, but sometimes we have to tone it down to get a better outcome. Yes, I know it’s not that easy, but there’s only two lives, the one you have on Earth, and the one in eternity.

This is a horrendous case. 💔 The amazing people living in the complex made calls to the cops frequently.... The cops haven't really interviewed anyone cuz they know they did nothing. Well, "cops" (as you call them) cannot make an arrest if no one committed a crime. These two women have been bickering for 2 years...2 years. Bickering. No law against bickering, so, how can police make an arrest? There has to be an actual crime. I have a crazy old woman living next door that is the Don Quixote type...fighting windmills wherever she finds them. First day I moved in, she set her sites on me. I have been called every name in the book, had her stand under my bedroom window and scream at me. Throw things at me. I'd call police and they would say "It is civil unless you can show PROOF that she committed a crime". She was not on the property when they arrived, so, could not charge trespassing. How can I prove she threw the tree branch at me? How can you prove she threw the rocks at you? See, they have to have actual PROOF of a crime before they can do anything. Your petty argument/bickering with your neighbor is not a crime...you must have proof.

A Florida woman who shot and killed her neighbor -- a mother of four -- through her front door at a home in Marion County was arrested Tuesday night, Sheriff Billy Woods told FOX 35.
Susan Lorincz was arrested and booked into jail on charges of manslaughter with a firearm, culpable negligence, assault, and battery, officials said.
She's accused of shooting and killing Ajika "AJ" Owens, who went to her house to confront her over allegations that she yelled at her children for playing in a field near her home, and then threw a rollerblade skate at one of the kids. FOX35 Orlando
That’s first degree cause the lady knew the mom was going to confront her for throwing the skate at her child.
So that's what happened...I'm just coming across this news...wow and u are right she already knew she did something wrong and had her gun ready...she should get first degree for that...if she brought the child with her then she was trying to hear both sides and get to the truth of it...yea she premeditated that...which means she knows she was wrong for killing that lady...sad...and hell yea everyone knows that's a possible cause for a problem when u get physical with someone's child too 😣🥺 I am always outside with my kids but luckily they have a lot to do in our backyard thank God...so sad 😔
Woman should have been medicated. She sounds like a lunatic. Kids make noise kids play and scream. Kids run around and jump. Better to be outside playing than sitting in front of a tv. This is horrible man this reminds me of this case i heard about a dude named koko in i think china or japan or korea, asian dude, ALMOST EXACT SAME SITUATION. Slightly different but pretty much innocent mom gets murdered right in front of her son, and he grew up and took his revenge. MAKE SURE THAT BOY IS WATCHED! Dont let him grow up vengeful he's gonna be so hateful growing up and it's not his fault.

After having listened to this. I was very sickened. That coward should have been arrested and sentenced to life in the dungeon, not prison. I'm not talking about anything modern day. I'm talking about the actual dungeon, like what existed in the year 1095, without the possibility of a trial or parole, or even bail. If no remaining dungeons exist, they need to build one. That innocent lady did nothing to get shot. She got executed with no trial or charges.

Indeed the woman who is accused of shooting & killing the woman through the door is guilty of having done exactly this, then, yes, she is indeed deserving of being arrested & prosecuted & found guilty & sentenced & made to serve her sentence.
Nonetheless, we the public do not know enough about this case to draw certain conclusions at this time, &, for me, a reasonable & fair person who is, I might add, of considerably mixed ancestry, the self-serving involvement of ethnically prejudiced as well as politically partisan groups such as the NAACP taints the whole matter & makes me immediately suspicious that the victims will have their struggle for justice & fairness tremendously overshadowed & hindered.
And, the sane & reasonable person that I am, I must say that, even though this is reportedly an eventual result of an ongoing fued to & into which law enforcement were called a number of times, both sides were in the wrong for not simply calling the police to once again come out about the matter. Had either party conducted themselves in a decent, respectful manner, none of this tragedy would have been able to occur as it did.
Having had to & many times deal with inconsiderate & even totally contemptuous neighbors myself who quite literally disturbed & terrorized me & my family day & night, night & day, with noise events, vandalizing our property (especially our vehicles), knocking on our door for no reason whatsoever, etc, I & my family know what such can feel like & be like, & how such can feel & be when law enforcement help is being sought & the proper help & intensity of help is not forthcoming. Apparently the woman who eventually ended up committing what is by all appearances pure murder (& it is glaring desperation on the part of "stand your ground" law enemies to say negative things about the decent citizen-helping weapons-related law by this tragic case, because clearly it was not a "stand your ground" law justified shooting because the woman fired her gun through the closed door & at a woman who was not armed -- if indeed the victim was not armed) was facing some constant disturbances from these neighbors directly involved in the tragic matter as well as from other allegedly inconsiderate & disrespectful neighbors. And apparently the eventual homicide victim had crossed paths with the eventual shooter before & when the eventual shooter was in the wrong.
Either way, this is a tragedy that did not need to happen.
Save that for Child Molestors! Innocent people are shot and killed everyday in this country and others. Nothing new just more sadness. What is being done to children in this world fits the dungeon !
