I went from an Xperia 1 iii to the Oneplus 12 and man do I miss my old phone.
I still love 21:9 ratio

@@sk8rboimike they went with 19.5:9 BECAUSE they were avoiding the hole punch? That makes no sense. The LG V60 had this aspect radio and had a hole punch and Sony already had no hole punch with the 21:9
@@omarjimenez8895 hey dude don't come at me and come at Sony that was their words not mine because the 21:9 aspect ratio is not a super common thing so they're trying to fit the form factor of other phones essentially but then they're trying to also avoid the punch hole because nobody likes the punch hole

They have finally returned with the elegance and quality of Xperia. I have remained faithful to Sony for many years, I have never gone for an iPhone or Samsung or Xiaomi, I turned to CAT phones Waiting for a new Xperia and finally that moment has arrived. Das Design ist jetzt wirklich perfekt und zwei Tage Laufzeit ist wichtiger als 4K das niemand sehen kann.
Aber Sony, kommt noch ein Pro dieses Jahr oder nicht. Wenn ich mir jetzt das one 1Vi kaufe und ein paar Monate später das neue pro kommt werde ich verdammt sauer sein.

How the earth Xiaomi, Vivo, Huawei use 1" LYT900 Sensor, but their own brand use archaic 1/1.35"????? The Ultrawide also not change since Xperia 1 ii with ancient 12 Mp 1/2.6". Even though the telephoto is good on paper with true 7x Optical zoom, the sensor size is 1/3.4", imagine the noise in the lowlight!! I Prefer 5x periscope with large sensor size. And don't bring the display resolution to the table because Sony forced us to believe that 4K display on the smartphone is a good thing, now they dropped it to Full HD??! Atleast make it QHD
LYT900 is not dual-layer and sensor 1/1.35 on 1V has the same light performance like 1 inch. Smaller sensor gives manufacture ability to make device slimmer - Xperia has 9-10mm with island. Xiaomi Ultra is 14mm thick.

@@CMRHiFi Both the main sensor affects the thickness of the device and the telephoto lens. With the main lens - a larger sensor forces the lens to extend further (distance) if we want to maintain the same brightness. The sensor in telephoto lenses in smartphones is located transversely to the plane of the back of the device. Additionally, the longer the focal length, the more difficult it is to make a fast (bright) lens. If you put a large sensor in a telephoto lens and increase the focal length (optical), this forces a larger aperture.
why everyone so sure about FHD display, there were no official specs yet?!
@@lucasn82_ I'd rather have thick smartphone thus with larger battery to begin with. Xperia phones is not for fashion, it's for creator. We don't care if the Xperia have 14mm thick if it had 1" sensor, larger sensor for UW and periscope zoom, bigger batteries, QHD Display and better speaker. For US$1399 dollar, i want to get the best of Sony in a smartphone.

Damn it SONY, didn't even improve battery life to 6000 mAh or even 5500 mAh. Just doesn't justify the upgrade from V. Skipping this and waiting for the VII instead.

Still expecting *XPERIA 5 Vi* in USA
Sony created 19.5 ratio (keeping XPERIA 1 *but at a smaller size* to ATTRACT XPERIA 5 consumers) trying to make "5" customers happy with the *telephoto lens*
Then assumed dropping the XPERIA 5 line (reopening economical XPERIA 10 line)
I still wish it kept the 21:9 aspect ratio and 4K screen resolution. Sigh.

Sony downgrade because, still no smartphone brands can make 4K HDR display for their mobile. Second, Sony try to compete in the flagship market. Third, reduce battery consumption. I will miss the 4K HDR display. I will stick with my Xperia 1 iv.

I think it's a good decision to come back at the 19.5:9 aspect ratio. Kindly make it available in India at least online. A lot of people are going to buy if you sell through online trust me. Your company doesn't have to face any losses if you operate from Japan and make it available in India at the online market just provide only service which you can easily do through your camera and other electronic services. Lots of people in India are willing to buy the Sony Xperia series. Just think if people are able to spend on 1.5 lacs rupees for Samsung ultra phones and iphones then why are they not going to spend on sony then. And if you have a reduced price of the previous generation then it will give you immense profitability. Just try at least. Things change after COVID. Everything seems difficult before trying.

When taking a shot, the phone without shutter button is more stable than the phone with shutter button. So, I don't need the shutter button, in my opinion.
