Alex Vincent who played Andy in Child's Play 1 & 2 reprised his role as Andy in Curse of Chucky (2013), 23 years after Child's Play 2. Alex Vincent was also in Cult of Chucky (2017) and the Chucky tv series (2021). Alex will turn 43 in April.
10:56 actually chucky was a mixture of a real doll when not moving, an animatronic which had a buncha different controls to control the arms legs and face, and little people in chucky costumes for far away shots, very innovative movie
"Why does this reminds me of FNAF?" Huh... possessed cutesy doll possessed by an angry ghost that wants revenge and doesn't stop at ANYTHING... huh. Well, it is the main plotline for a lot of horror stories regarding possessed robots/puppets...
A side effect of the spell that transferred the soul into the doll is that the doll slowly becomes organic the longer he's in it. If it transforms too far then Chucky can't transfer his soul out of it and is stuck in the doll until next time he gets revived and gets another shot. It both gives him a reason to keep the main character of each film alive (Chucky wants him as a new body) and gives the writers an in universe reason for why Chucky can't be killed until the end of each movie.
You seem to forget that Chucky the doll is just as strong as Charles Ray the man. He's as light and fragile as any ordinary doll his size but he still has all the physical power of a 5'9 175 pound man in his prime, just concentrated into a tiny package.
I used to be terrified of Chucky as a kid especially in this movie before I saw Seed of Chucky much much later and made me actually like Chucky or moreso Charles more and rechecking this movie changed any feelings I had back then.
A note: If you're going through the "Oldest First" playlist (which I believe you are), there are a few Kill Counts that aren't in it for some reason. You can find them by cross-referencing the "Newest First" playlist.
Next game has to be Marvel's Spider-Man by Insomniac. People have wanted you to play it after you reacted to the Russian Badger video about the game. It's currently on sale on Steam right now.
When the soul transfers to the doll, it becomes more and more human. It also gives the possessed doll the strength of a human, so its pretty much like a little person attacking you.
I cannot recommend the Re-Counts enough. As James covered more horror movies, he started getting more in-depth on the movies' productions. Instead of just saying that "This character is dead, and this is how it's shown," James now takes the time to go over the BTS process on how they were able to show it. Later on, James would redo some of his older installments. Friday the 13th, Scream, Chucky/Child's Play. He would also have some different, less biased opinions then his older, bare-bones counts. If anything, I'd treat the Re-Counts as the final drafts of the original old Kill Counts.
My only experience watching Chucky was going to a family friend's house when the second movie happened to be on TV at 23:40, that exact scene. Seeing that creepy fucking doll summon dark clouds and lightning and speaking in tongues was already enough for me as a kid to say "fuck this" and cower in fear in the other room. I saved my soul from witnessing the rest of the movie, holy shit.
Not that I don't love the originals, but I wish you watched Dead Meats recount kill counts of these because James adds a lot of cooler info, and his humor and voice-over are more natural.
@@theduckgoesmoo awesome I'm so glad because you deserve to hear all the history and behind the scenes stuff Dead Meat did and also I think James is a lot more funny and relaxed in the newer ones. Cant wait.
I was first exposed to Chucky at a young age. I was channel surfing once, and came upon the toy factory part of 2 as part of a Child's Play marathon. I watched the rest of it and some of the start of 3. I remember the marketing of Bride of Chucky. I am about to switch to the stream, looking forward to watching the rest of the reaction later.
Duckgoesmoo, if you want to see something really creepy check out the music video for Daft Punks song Technologic. They have the Chucky robot in the video without any of the skin on.
3:17 - "Directed by Tom Holland" Yeah first time i watched this film a few years back i had to double take just to make sure i didnt imagine that one XD
I think it's implied the whole voodoo possession gives the doll body the strength of the original human. That doesn't fully excuse just how stupid people act when fighting him. He's still the size of a child and range is not on his side. As for how the doll moves, it's a combination of sometimes a dude in a suit, sometimes a puppet, sometimes an animatronic (yes yes, Fnaf blah blah), and sometimes just a straight-up doll.
To answer your question on how to get out muscled he is a grown man in a doll body he still has all of his strength inside of the doll also the devil stuff
A lot has changed with Chucky since these videos, including a terrible 2019 reboot and an amazing TV series currently in it's 3rd season. Yes, he did Recounts and they're amazing and better. He also did the tv series
so, Kyle. Not always tho. Sometimes, he's easily pushed off or pinned, and other times, he's full strength lol
"Chucky had a kid?! How?! He's a doll!"
You'll find out, but you won't like it.
It scarred you too, didn’t it. Nice, me too.

My Good Guy doll hasn't done any of the things this one does. Mine only moves around when I'm not looking & says funny things.
Mine went out for cigarettes and never came back.😔

Apparently Chucky has the strength of a fully grown adult so it'll be quite hard to overpower him.
Childs play 2 was the first horror movie i ever saw, the image of the factory worker with doll eyes is burned into my brain.
