    Thanks for all your work. I've leant so much from your videos. I've now got a fully functioning home media server with Trafeik and authelia working. I'm in Croatia on holiday as I type this and accessing my home media server securely. Great videos and guides that make these seemingly complicated process accessible to everyone.

    Why would anyone pay for something that is simply docker compose files? Traefik can be automated within your docker compose files to do the exposing through your own domain. Why charge for basically open source and free software?

    • @AnandsLab
      @AnandsLab  2 дня назад +1

      I am going to assume these are genuine questions. As i mention in the video, you don't have to. You can just follow my guides which explain everything in detail and are some of the most popular guides on Docker/Traefik. Deployarr is not a replacement for learning. No one is forced to pay. It is a choice to support my website and youtube channel - 15 years of hard work and several thousand dollars spent.

      @@AnandsLab Do you mean the comment "And I don't think any of these devs gave him permission to do this. He's a schlep" ? It's still there. I can see it. I'm still curious about why you keep trying to piggy-back off the existing brands of others. First Auto-Traefik, now Deployarr. Looking through your Github, you don't seem to have any association with either Traefik or any of the *arrs.

      Well the comment disappeared and then came back. Again to each his own. I will continue based on the feedback I am receiving and not based on someone who han't taken the time to learn facts. I know how many i have helped. Good luck to you!

    So far I have been stubborn and not used it. But for rapid experiment I figure it's a must have.
    I have a NAS supporting NFS, but your rclone looks like a more robust implementation to moving media around.
    I did notice Gluten so will match my production implementation nicely.
    Enjoy

    • @AnandsLab
      @AnandsLab  10 дней назад

      It is still possible if you can invest in a cheap VPS, about 5 bucks a month. You can run your proxy there. Use ZeroTier or Tailscale to connect into your home (no public IP needed). You run all your apps at home and Traefik will access the apps via ZeroTier IP and serve the apps over the internet.

    Streamlining some otherwise very desperate and fiddly things. Heck you said don’t use it in place of learning but this seems to help people learn a huge amount with some smoothness too.
    One Q. I have really enjoyed Dockge which is a docker manager type tool like portainer but perhaps nicer for a home lab. Will the use of Dockge conflict with this tool? Dockge likes or prefers the files and containers in a specific subtree.
    Thanks again.

    I have recently bought hardware to build a server but do not have the know how to install Proxmox nor Docker, let alone which to use, but this looks like it would take a lot of the guess work out of it for me. Once I get the system built, looks like I may be buying the pro version for backups.

    • @AnandsLab
      @AnandsLab  10 дней назад

      Sort of, with some manual work. Backup first. Then, leave .env file, secrets folder, and appdata folder. Delete the rest. Use Deployarr to reinstall apps. It will auto use your data from appdata folder. YOu may have issues with apps that use databases. This will be fixed in the next release.
      Deployarr v4 was fully compatible with my UDMS guides. V5 is a significant change. But I will be moving my guides and videos to the new way implemented in v5 as well. At that point they will be compatible.
