47 yrs young BTS ARMY here who loves and adores all BTS songs! I can definitely say that other BTS fans around my age and (A LOT) older will tell you that BTS is their pride and joy! Hope you'll check out more BTS.
I'm a 32 year old Army and these guys aren't just for kids or the younger generation trust me their fans age demographic are alot older then you'd think lol. Bts is for all ages genders and races they just are all incredible men and their messages in their songs are just I incredible as well.
The dancing at the end is from jhopes documentary called hope on the street on prime it's absolutely incredible and I love it.
This song was released on an ep that accompanies JHopes new dance docu series on Amazon. For anyone liking dance worth checking out! So being a smooth danceable song for a background of a video is exactly what he was going for
This is a song written in part by J Hope of BTS featuring him singing in the beginning and then Jungkook singing the end. It is one song from his six tract album Hope on the Street Vol. 1 which is very good and completely different from his Jack in the Box album that came out in 2022. BTS has a lot of older fans, not just pre-teens and teenagers. All seven of these men are extremely talented as shown by their solo work the last couple of years. As a group, they have concerts that are just unbelievably good.
Dude, I'm 60 and JHope is pretty amazing as is BTS. You should check out his set at Lollapalooza. He crushed it.
This is not an official mv BTW.
Smooth singing, and the funky beat was not something that I expected. But I wish that the lyrics to the chorus would have been expanded just a bit. He really has a soft and delicate singing voice. I'll go 8.5 / 10. 😉
The video you watched is fanmade. There is no official MV. However, you saw snippets of scenes from J Hope's Hope On the Street docu series on Prime at the end.
And what is really a KPop sound? BTS is more than KPop because they make music in all different genres.
Nice reaction! This is definitely at the very sweet, light end of their sound. To see a bit more of their range I highly recommend the live performance of 'Outro: Tear' from BTS. It's a song the band members wrote to each other at a time when they were considering breaking up. For something on the more introspective side I'd love to see you react to solo work by another member, RM. 'Still Life' and 'Wildflower' are both awesome songs with great videos.
Thanks for approaching them with an open mind!
First, this song doesn't have an official music video. This is a fanmade video, and they took clips from photoshoots and promotional videos to put it together, except for the last clip which was J-Hope's docu-series. Also, for context, I am a 58 year old BTS ARMY, not a young person. BTS has a very diverse fanbase. Please read below.
*"I thought it was a typical smooth KPOP song"*
I really would love people to start referring to BTS as Artists, and not just K-Pop. They have become way more than K-Pop, which was only a Niche market until BTS became global and was recognized for their artistry. If you actually look at other groups, there are none that are like BTS, because they started out as a Hiop Hop Idol group, and never actually followed the standards of K-Pop in general. They got a lot of hate and backlash because of that, and the Western market and Western people just put them into that category and assume they are a generic boy band and that K-Pop is like a genre for young girls, so they don't take BTS seriously. Sorry if I ranted, but I get triggered when I see or hear the term "K-Pop" associated with BTS, because they are multi talented artists, that have grown over time with their artistry, and have amazing lyricism, write their own music, and have become the industry standard for their exceptional dance, and their artistry. They have 3 rappers (2 were underground), and 4 vocalists. And J-Hope started out as a street dancer, which is what his album and docu-series are about. In BTS he's a RAPPER, MAIN DANCER, DANCE LEADER, SONGWRITER, and MUSIC PRODUCER. His roots are Street Dance.
K-Pop is really not a genre of music, it's the IDOL system/industry in South Korea. IDOL music isn't even what the standard of Korean POP music is, which is separate from IDOL Music. In order to explain it I would have to write an essay, which I do not have the energy for, and you probably don't either. But if you are interested, you could check out Boracity Magazine. She explains every thing much better than I ever could. You could do a reaction to it. Thank you for the reaction, but I would hope that if you continue to react to BTS, you try to learn about them without the idea that they are "Just a KPOP Korean Boy Group for young people". Good music doesn't have an age limit. And over 350 million BTS ARMY's (BTS fanbase) would say the same, because we are lovers of good music.

This is a good one too. She actually lays out exactly how and why they paved the way by addressing the complaints of fans and media about BTS.
BTS paved the way, why is it so hard to accept it? by Boracity Magazine - ruclips.net/video/nqRZVvTE35E/видео.htmlsi=D_XsOqBFtuLfz9sd
Not a fan of BTS but this was pretty good.
It's been quite a while since you've done a reaction on your own BP1.
As you said it will resound with the younger generation especially those who enjoy a very poppy sound.
I know!... Thought would throw out these something different this week, so they keep coming till sunday! The Korean adventure! :)
I really enjoyed this reaction, it's a shame you didn't come back to do more BTS. Another member, RM, just released a new music video called 'Come Back To Me' and I highly recommend it, mesmerising song and video!
Having said that, you've only reacted to very chill music from BTS so far, and they have a lot of music that's far from chill. If you want a complete contrast I recommend their song 'UGH'. There's also a great live performance of that on youtube, and another video called ' BTS UGH explained by a Korean' which gives some context to the lyrics.
Great job going solo on the reaction BP1. I agree with your observations too. Very smooth sound. Not something I would necessarily listen to, but nice. - Hawk
Cheers Hawk!... one coming each night for the next 5 nights.... seeing what I am missing out on or not!... But this one was smooth and had that authentic vibe :)
Yeah, it s a bit poppy for me. Nothing wrong with it at all, but my 20 year old self would have enjoyed it a lot more 😅
