ARMY here. Thanks for the reaction. Junkook leaves for the military in a few hours so this video is very comforting to me. People have described Jungkook as a vocal chameleon in that he is able to sing any genre and make it his own. He can change the ‘colour’ of his voice to fit any song and blend with any singer. He is mostly self taught through constant practice. Oh and he has perfect pitch. You might want to check out his live performances on iheart radio and from time square.

Jungkook is part of BTS. This was his first solo album before going into the military.
Even in the extremely talented artists in K-pop… jungkook is rare… he is the moment… he’s the kind of person that comes around every 100 years I swear… inside and out he’s truly incredible. Not just singing , dancing and performing or rapping…. But drawing, painting, editing and directing… he’s so gifted combined with having high standards and an insanely strong work ethic but the most down to earth heart and humble soul…. He’s hard not to root for.. and follow his steps he’s taking… bc he’s taking huge steps …. He was born for this… you need to see everything he does I swear lol

Not really related to jungkook but another singer I feel that would be great to react to would be Ha Hyun Woo!! He was the longest king on Masked Singer. You should definitely listen to his cover of Lazenca, Save us which is Korean rock song!!
The producers for this song are Andrew Watt and Cirkuit. This is from his solo album Golden. He prereleased the tracks Seven and 3D. This was the title track released when the album was released. He finished recording for Andrew and Cirkuit one day and Andrew asked if he would like to hear another song. He played this song for him and JK thought it would be a great song to show off his performance ability. He took the song with him to his hotel to practice it and came in the next day and recorded it for 4 hours. He chose to make an all Eng album to target the western market even though it was difficult for him since he is not fluent in Eng. Also, he had different producers for different tracks and said that each of the producers wanted him to pronounce things differently. I am just so impressed with him. I have been an ARMY since 2014 and to see him develop and gain confidence has been amazing and his Eng has improved so much. The whole album is great. He has several terrific live performances as well. His Audacy Live is probably my favorite over all. Also, he just dropped a visualizer for the track Hate You which is an emotional track if you want to check that out. Thanks for checking this out and educating us about his techniquie, etc...ARMYs love learning~!
Jungkook is so incredible. I recommend Stay Alive produced by Suga for another solo. For live the recent Times Square or Audacy performances. With BTS, the live for Your Eye Tell is beautiful and Jungkook co wrot and composed that song.

I discovered you a while ago reacting to PTX which along with BTS are my favorite groups, and Jung Kook is my bias. Jung Kook is the Main Vocalist and youngest member of BTS. It’s kind of sad that right when the solo part of his career is taking off he is starting his mandatory military service. Actually begins TODAY. I totally support and understand his decision to go now so that BTS can get back together as a group in 2025. That’s how much he is devoted to BTS and Army 😊.
He did a remix of this song with Usher and a remix with his song “3D” with Justin Timberlake. There is a video when he was younger and they are the two artist that he mentioned. I can’t remember if the question was who he would like to collaborate with or who his influences were.
Anyways, he experimented with styles and his voice in his album. You would probably enjoy it. He released a visualizer (basically a MV) a couple of days ago for his song, “Hate You”. My personal favorite song of Jungkook is "Stay Alive", it's so bad that the official video release of it is shortened :(
STAY ALIVE is the OST for their webtoon. There is a visual trailer for it but only has half the song. There is however a full lyric video to it. His vocals in this song are God Tier and the lyrics will take you on an emotional roller coaster. Suga produced it.

JK and Jimin, the last 2 of the 7 to go into the military tonight! I cried. Last night V and RM went. We will definitely miss them all. JK has one of the biggest hearts ever. It was hard for him to say goodbye to us today. Jimin had tears too! we will see plenty of their contents still and there are years and years of Kohnke live concerts, variety shows that they do, etc. so while they're gone for 18 months there's plenty to catch up on

3:12 jungkooks vocals are SO limited in BTS that he really finally got to step out of having to play the main vocalist role and fill in where others couldn’t bc he’s the most diverse vocalist in the group… who doesn’t really have one main vocal sound like the other vocalists and they kinda always sing in their strength style and key… jungkook can sing up and down his range with ease and is so much better live… but bc he can do it all… he does almost all the vocal and rap harmonies and adlibs for both sets… so ppl confuse his voice with others bc he can really sound like all of them lol but this was the perfect example of his skills and in series that live he’s SO much better. I’d love to see you watch his TSX performance of this or Jimmy Fallon, iheaetradio… they’re all so so so good and very different environments.. with the watch for sure.. but I’d love to hear all this for him live… think you’d be even more impressed

Sending you another KPop recommend. Key’s amazing Gasoline was choreographed by Kany, who also worked with Kasper on Hard. You might be able to get her to do something with you. I know one of the dancers in this MV is a well know choreographer who worked with Taemin and Jungkook, Ian Eastwood. He seems like a very chill, funny guy. The other dancer in this MV who I know has worked with BTS and Jungkook is Brian Puspos. I’m new to KPop so this is he limit of my info. But it might save you a little research. I would adore if you did Gasoline. Kany is charming, her choreo for Gasoline is perfect for Key. Key is a kind of secret weapon. No one knows what he’s capable of until he does it and then we’re all overjoyed.

For musical references, I'd say funk and Michael Jackson are the most obvious. Maybe you need to check out an MJ performance? Jungkook's whole album has vocal gems and diversity. Jimin and V's solo albums have a lot happening vocally.
Yes, If memory serves me correctly, I even think the black and white jacket is something from a live performance worn by MJ in Wembley in the late 80's? Anyone else get that pop of a visual? Will look into. A beautiful homage on so many levels.

The choreography is what got me into K-pop in the first place. So I would totally be down for a breakdown of the dancing. I originally used to listen to EDM and Goth metal such as Daft Punk, Deadmau5, and HIM. I love the breakdown of the vocals and how they work. Thank you.
