In the NFL. As a QB, You either have it, or you don’t. You can explain it any way you want. But Caleb looks like he has it, and he’s only going to get better.
He can actually string an entire game together. Now he’s actually stacking a couple games together looking good. We’ve never seen this in Chicago. A QB will have a good game then follow it up with a 50 QB rating and 2 picks.
Also, Caleb has turned the ball over a lot less than QBs of the past.
Put the word out. We back up
Superbowl in future! KC Pat Moh Bears gonna meet you soon! Bears Texans game, Bears still did good and they were scared at the end. Lets go Bears!
What I was most impressed with in this game was how Caleb seemed to read the defenses correctly and audibled into the correct play accordingly. Some of his throws were still a bit off but overall I thought he played really well. I no longer have any doubts he’s going to be a good NFL QB. Rooting for him all the way. Da 🐻s!
It was windy in Chicago. That's why some passes were a little off.
Caleb is going to be special.
(Is already) 🐻⬇️
Absolutely!
He's already special. He was born special.
Wow, Kurt. I can tell it was really hard for you to be complimentary.
Kurt is not the host of a Caleb Hater party. But safe to say he'd be on the guestlist.
I appreciate the comment section for saving 22 minutes of my life. Kind of already figured Kurt would be difficult to listen to but yall helped confirm. Kind of wanna go back in time to when other good QBs were in year 1 to see if he made appearances on local radio shows just to compare. Im sure he was spewing the same "tough to listen to" takes. Ill just say this.. i saw you play on the NYG. I'll leave it there.
“Small bits of progress.” From passer ratings of 51 and 54 to 106 and 126? Seems like more than just small bits.
I would argue that due to the expectations, and the slow start, it’s fair to be moderate with the praise. But as a fan, be excited!
@@jtwilliams8895 I agree. Having said that, I would have thought it would have been fair to be moderate with the praise after last week’s performance, but Kurt’s assessment was only negative. So I feel like there needs to be a willingness to acknowledge that on Kurt’s side of things.
Compared to the Vikings it is obvious Bears are going to get skunked if Tyson Bagent is not playing. 🐻⏬🧆🏝
@@Michael-CharlesAust-ee5oo lol
I’m done with Kurt.
I’ve posted a lot below, but he is a salty, disconnected dude.
He NEVER was successful, unless he had massive, elite talent around him (look at his WR’s, RB’s, TE’s and OL in his career - it will shock you).
The difference? When those players left his team? They were still elite. Kurt was not….
I have a feeling Kurt just watches the highlights on the fly and bs's the rest!
I’m convinced Kurt Warner just bases his perspective on what the national media says and just makes it sound like a QBs perspective and that’s it. Doesn’t sound like he actually watches the games
Lol, he has a youtube channel where he breaks down QB performances, so he's obviously watching the games.
You must be a Packer fan. 😒
They do these calls on Mondays, but the NFL doesn't typically release the All-22 until Tuesdays. So Kurt does watch and break down film, but these calls with The Score occur before he's able to watch the full game film.
@@Hello4now One would hope that the Bears would be one game he did try to watch since he knows he has a regular segment on The Score.
@@xXxRaVeNcRoFt_LuVrr69 I'm assuming he watches the games, but with everything else he does, he probably doesn't have time to re-watch and fully analyze the film by Monday (and again, the All-22 isn't even available yet when he does these). It seems more like he's going off of first impressions from one watch-through than anything else. If you want full break-downs, you can go to his channel where he walks through multiple plays on the All-22 and game film.
Hey he's right it's his job to make the right decisions on what he sees even as a rookie. Caleb's football aptitude is growing but we have 12 more games to go Caleb Williams is our QB & we are happy with the growth we are seeing but any given football day ish can change.
I think Kurt judges QBs and Caleb specifically in this case, by how HE used to play the QB position; and Caleb plays and sees the field differently than Kurt did
It sounds like Kurt Warner is subtly feeding his own ego, when he explains things !!! To Me, it sounds like Warner downplays Caleb's progress in a NEW & complex NFL offense ... but Glowingly Effusive about Jayden Daniels (who's running an offense that's similiar to what he ran at LSU) ... I think Warner's critique of Caleb is Suspect !!
Hey, awesome psychoanalysis there bro. That’s a really smart take by you.
Kurt is such an inspirational teacher. He has a great temperament...
Kurt hating on Caleb. I've heard enough.
No he not. He's just being honest
Who is kirk?
@@patrickanderson3939 I lol it was a typo
Grow a pair
Kurt is spot on in his analysis. He knows his stuff and honest in his evaluation of what it takes to be a great QB in the NFL. Progression is important and he is admitting Caleb is improving each game. You have to have high standards.
No - Kurt does NOT know his stuff. Read any of my posts on this thread.
Unless Kurt had HoF, elite talent around him? He was hot garbage.
Seriously - go look at who he has played with, and WHEN he played with them - Kurt went right into the dumpster when he didn’t have All pro or pro bowl players around him….at EVERY LEVEL. WR, RB, TE and, most importantly, OL. Orlando Pace (to name one) is the best LT in NFL history.
It’s not debatable.
@@j8k3d18 Let's not go too far; I saw Kurt play and he was a solid NFL QB. He came off the bench and led the Rams to a Super Bowl win! I don't care what talent he had around him, if he doesn't make plays, they have zero chance of winning.
Week over week, Kurt Warner proves he doesn't watch the game film.
Cuz you know so much more than the Super Bowl winning MVP. LOL!🤣
Easy guys Warner was Legit. He was way better than average and would definitely be able to play in todays NFL
I mean, if you gave him 3 pro bowl/all pro WR’s, an all pro RB, all pro TE, all pro (or all TIME) LT, and all pro RG, he’s gonna be awesome!
Ask the Giants how “good” he was…..
@@j8k3d18you are an non football person speaking ignorance
It only took him until 27
@@j8k3d18yea. I feel Kurt played his part. But adding Faulk who won opoy 3x in a row, adding Tory holt help him be great.
@@roberttheapostle489 and????
Seriously Kurt what’s with the damn negativity
Amazing what a QB can do when he has time to throw 😮
Finally Captain Grumpus says some good things about Caleb
Happy they post Mr. Warner’s appearances immediately.
Tim Jenkins video is already out, Caleb had I think two bad throws and one bad read. Not bad for 5 weeks… o line and running game help everyone, including K Warner. Even on the cards had Fitzgerald and Boldin, gotta mention the craziest stat in NFL history: in 17 seasons, Fitz had more tackles (40) than drops (29). In sane.
Wha't crazy is Rome Odunze is on the losing end of those bad reads two weeks in a row. Imagine how many yards/TD's they'd have together. It's about to bust wide open here soon.....
I don't think I'm hearing the same things that the comments are pretending Kurt is saying.
I agree. A lot of Bears fans apparently are just extremely sensitive and butt-hurt that Kurt isn't calling Caleb Williams the best QB to ever play the game after 5 games of his rookie season.
Nothing that Kurt has said in any of these videos to me has been damning, and even he recognizes that Jayden Daniels and Caleb were at two different places when they came into the NFL (less than a full year older, but he had two more years of D-I, Power 5 college football experience. Last two years were also in the SEC against tougher competition/defenses than Caleb in the Pac-12). It doesn't mean that Caleb won't get there, and in theory he has even more room to grow than Daniels. It just comes down to if that potential will be fully realized.
Love listening to this guy.
Have to agree with building a winning culture, too many Bear fans have that losing PTSD. Don't think the Bears have it though, Poles has rebuilt the team and when your defense is holding teams below 21 points, Bears are learning that they are always in the game
YES. Set the bar high. It take Probowl caliber play to win a superbowl. Play like a champion, then play like a HOF, and then when you cant do any better, play like Walter Payton. You dont have to be Walter, but you have to play like that. Bears fan's standards are so low they think Kmet is a star. Every WR needs to play like DJ, every DL needs to play like Sweat. Every DB needs to play like JJ. And then DJ, Sweat, and JJ need to up their games to HOF level. That's why they brought in Keenan Allen, & Byard - Pro's pros. And that is why you dump Davis. Establish that this roster has NO room for people just punching their time card.
Everyone hating on Warner is crazy . Y’all talking bout all these hall of famers he played with. He still got those guys the ball . I’m really starting to think most bears fans are simply stupid when it comes to the game lol
Spiegs trying to get CW extra kudos for run game and KW just shoots that down as this is expected from a QB was funny. But KW comes off as having a high standard which isnt bad to desire that from a QB. No need to get sour. Not like you are the one playing the position. 670 brought him on to give his take and good for him to give his honest critique.
Kurt Warner has a
ALWAYS been a Class Act!!😊
Kurt seems like a little bit of a hater
I’m not sure Kurt could play in “today’s” NFL. He had an absolute elite WR corps, elite RB (one of the best multi-skilled backs), and likely the best Left tackle to play the game in Orlando Pace. Then he goes to Arizona, and was again surrounded by elite talent.
I take a lot of what he says with a grain of salt. He’d be sacked 7-8 times a game today, especially on an average team.
He talks often about “what he sees”, but he’d be seeing the turf more than anything now. The game he played, versus now, is VERY different. It’s like Barry Switzer winning a SB with the Cowboys…..after the roster was already stacked.
No disrespect to Kurt - by all accounts is a great guy, and had some really excellent years, but if he started for the Bears, in the first game against the Titans? He’d have been sacked 10 times, tosses 2 picks, and is likely carted off the field by the 3rd quarter.
Not to mention kurt was pretty pedestrian in his lone year with less than elite talent with the giants - wasnt able to do much
I don't recall Leinart doing much when he was with the very same Cardinals team
And your point is? Leinart is worse than Kurt? I would agree with you. There is a reason no one talks about Matt Leinart, outside of his “social forays”.
The Cardinals, especially with that draft and existing roster, were ready for a winner. I guess Kurt didn’t have enough All Pros? And not just in offense….
I don’t dislike Kurt. But he is so smug, it’s hard to take him seriously. I honestly believe I could have taken the 2001 Rams team to at least .500. Hand it off to a HoF RB, or throw a gimme ball to 2 HoF receivers, with the dump off to the Pro Bowl WR3, or all pro TE…..
It’s hilarious. And no, Kurt didn’t “make them” all pro - those dudes were already dudes.
Amen! He got benched!
There was a reason STL let him go….. if the team he is supposed to QB isn’t stack to the hilt, then he ain’t your dude.
Kurt wasn’t invited to the NFL combine, but St. Louis asked him to run the 40 yard dash……he still hasn’t finished….
Kurt Warner was an absolute phenom and his arm talent would be an asset in any era. You may not like his rhetoric or the fact that he's not as effusive as you'd like him to be, but lay off the crack pipe.
Now he needs to be consistent...
I'm glad Kurt Warner comes on here and keeps the Bears fans that thought Caleb Williams and the Bears were going to come out and light it up from day one grounded.
He's not in love with our team. I will feel they're making good progress if they beat Green Bay at least once this year.
Warner never gives credit where its due and you listen in all of his takes theres a ton of "I " did this it ...."I did " that and thats how "I" . Hes so full of himself like he never had stacked teams on offense and HOF players to throw to.
They asked him for that exact perspective. He was only answering their question
Tim Jenkins me please this dude acts like he didn’t have a of legion hall of Famer that he was throwing to.Smh Pace,Bruce,Faulk,Torry Holt,Edgerrin James,Fitzgerald,Bolden and etc.Geesh!!
Week 1: we need to see Caleb trust his protection.
Week 2: game needs to slow down for him.
Week 3: needs to go through his reads and hit the checkdowns
Week 4: check downs are nice but where the heck is the deep ball?
Week 5: I expect him to do all this anyway
Thank you Kurt Warner for nothing.
Why they keep putting him on just to hate And he didn’t get good until he was like 27
When are they gonna get rid of Spiegel? Dude is brutal.
There learning in chunks now
I hate how flip floppy these people are. They always bashing him not it’s “progress” foh
This dudes takes have become so mid
You are being kind with “mid”.
See below. Kurt is having a hissy fit.
I like Kurt. But let’s not act like Marshall Faulk wasn’t completely dominant for him. Ask him that. “How much did a run game, the absolute best RB in the game help you grow?” Because after them 3 years of dominance from Faulk Kurt didn’t look legendary. I’m just saying.
You were bagging groceries shut up hater. So the pass to dj was luck he didnt look the safety off kirk??😂😂😂😂. You won 1 superbowl not 7
Kurt is a perpetrator - As I keep saying, he played with an ELITE WR corps, one of, if not the best multi-feature RB, and All Pro OG, and likely the best LT to ever play the game. All in STL, when he was “the man”.
Kurt has NEVER had success, unless he is the least talented person on the offense. Arizona’s offense was ALSO loaded. Ever hear of Larry Fitzgerald? Boldin? Morey? At RB, Edge James?
Kurt Warner, in his prime, in today’s NFL, was be the “sack of the week” - sacked over, and over, and over, and over, and over again.
The “greatest show on turf” doesn’t work, unless you have pro bowl or all pro people at almost every spot on the O.
@@j8k3d18 I know you didn't just list Sean Morey as "elite talent". Bro had 11 catches in his ENTIRE NFL career. 2008 was Warner's best year with the Cardinals (over 4,500 yards and 30 td's), at that point Edge was one year away from retirement and was pretty ineffective (the Cardinals that year were last in the league in both rushing attempts and yardage, and 31st in yards per carry). His offensive line also consisted of a bunch of nobodies, none of whom ever made even a single Pro Bowl or All-Pro in their entire careers, but he still only got sacked 26 times in 16 games (that's only 1.625 times per game).
Now, yes, it definitely still helped having Fitz and Anquan. Their third receiver was Steve Breaston, who was certainly nothing special. And I'm sorry, but with that offensive line and just how bad their running game was that year, even with two great receivers, throwing for over 4,500 yards and 30 td's is still damn impressive.
By the way- Kurt Warner still holds the NFL postseason record for career yards/attempt and passing yards/game. There's been a lot of QB's to make the playoffs with a ton of talent around them, but Kurt's playoff numbers were still better than theirs.
All the Kurt hate in the comments is astounding. People are so soft and dumb these days, it’s offensive.
Lol I can’t stand Kurt man
Cuz ur soft
Kurt is a buzz kill lol
Warner was downplaying Caleb's pre-snap calls to change the play at the line, saying it's no big deal to change the play from run left to run right. I guess he didn't watch the game because Caleb was making pre-snap changes at the line into pass plays, so that's a lousy strike on you, Warner, for talking about something you don't know about again and lying to viewers and lying about a player to fuel your own narrative bad bad bad and shame on you warner. I used to like this man now I think Warner sucks.. bear down
Kurt is literally just making stuff up as he goes wtf
He’s just a salty dude. As I said on another post, there is no WAY Kurt could play in today’s NFL, especially on even an average team.
He had an absolute elite WR squad, with Bruce, Holt and Hakim, to go with Marshall Faulk, an All Pro TE in Conwell, TWO all pro OL. Not pro bowl, ALL PRO. Pace is likely the best LT to ever play the game (I am open for debate). Timmerman was an excellent guard….who made All Pro.
Now, Kurt is gonna talk about “seeing the field” and “good processing”? Kurt - if you played, in your prime, on Carolina’s team, who actually has a decent OL? You’d be sacked 8-10 times. Over and over. And toss 2-3 picks. If you played on the Bears, against Houston 3 weeks ago, you’d have been sacked even more. How did it work out after STL started losing those elite players? How did it work out in NY? You get to Arizona…..with…Larry Fitzgerald, Aquan Boldin and Morey? You have NEVER won without HoF talent. Ever. And you couldn’t win with TWO, count them, TWO HoF receivers, in their prime, at Arizona?
It’s a bad look, sir. Take the bass out of your tone. We all know you’re smart, but let’s not pretend you did it “against all odds” with your sheer talent. You inherited the easiest teams to win with as a QB - more than Mahomes..and Mahomes keeps doing it….
Kurt does not watch the game lol he only watch the film big difference
Does Kurt have teeth - don't know
Can we just get Chad Daniel’s take on Caleb Williams vs Kurt Warner who has no clue WTH he is seeing on film
Hypocrite much lol
