I did this to my Camry today and oh boy!! As a car guy this is a huge difference if you want the car to sound way meaner it will when I instal this I do recommend a professional or someone with a lot of tools and knowledge this was a fun install and it makes the Camry way more fun!!!
@@corymoon1445 I followed the k&n intake video on RUclips I did hook up the evap hose to the back of the intake (on the metal pipe) and moved that sensor (i honestly can’t remember what it was) I think it was a mass airflow sensor don’t quote me but I mainly did the modification because I wanted more sound without changing up my exhaust any since the Camry already has nice engine sound this intake wakes it up and makes it a way more sporty feeling of a car… if I do ever sell the car I don’t have to weld up the old exhaust no nasty hack saw cuts on the exhaust no shotty welds just work from an honest fella 😂(all bolt on stuff I kept my old intake just incase it didn’t work out but within a month it felt really dialed in) can easily be reverted back to stock if needed.

Just added this to my 2014 Camry I didn’t notice too much in terms of power when driving, but on the highway getting up to higher speeds was more of a breeze. Is the growl supposed to be very loud? I found it to be very loud inside the vehicle when driving.
Only thing I’d worry about, is driving in the rain. Not to stress it, but that’s it really. Noise is good, as long as it’s not Rattling, or sounds likes it’s hydro locking, your good.
@@aziahcorbett6196 yes. Especially if your a dual exhaust, it’ll sound better, if it’s a single exhaust I’d do nuff and res delete for a louder tone, if you want a deep low and not as loud do muffler delete. But if you have dual exhaust do just a muffler delete.

First and foremost, it’s overpriced absolutely. Secondly, the overall fit is not as expected for something that specific to this make and model. Why? It’s a bit of a struggle to remove some of the original parts so plan for additional time. The instructions for the EVAP connector wasn’t clear. Why? Had to get help from my mechanic buddy. Note: it’s a possibility to throw a CEL because of the MAF sensing new flow parameters... suggest you clean the throttle body. No mention of that in the instructions either. Why? Once it’s in and the motor has “settled in” with the new mod the sound is the most apparent like any other CAI. K&N claims 5 HP is probably accurate but you only really feel it at 4500 RPM to redline. The throttle response is a bit more responsive at high RPM and revs appears to climb a tad quicker. Overall it’s probably borderline worth it but the price should be at least $100.00 less....can’t see where the cost is. The look of the monster filter is pretty cool looking too. Overall maybe a 7/10

2010V6RAV4 Not in all cars, and it can add power if your car comes with a restrictive intake and can be a "bottle neck" if you have other mods (headers, exhaust, cams, etc.)
+Jairo Calero in a high performance car, maybe. they tested a WRX I think, and it lost power. this little piece of crap 2.5 engine isn't high performance and it's not reliable either. giving it more power will definitely shorten it's life. prone to cam gear failure.

My fuel consumption is about the same, maybe 2 or 3 mpg better, but if you like the sound you may find yourself stepping on the gas too much and losing small gain.

There are ton of tunes for the Camry. A stock Camry vs Modified Camry with a proper tune is huge different. You’ll get more mpg on local and highway lol.
yes. factory intake. watch CAI mythbusted on RUclips. these things are under the hood causing them to suck in engine heat. by the way the 2.5 engine in toyota is a sorry, sucky, piece of junk. TSB 0146-10. it's been revised so read the revision. tell people in California to avoid this junky engine.

+Armando Gonzalez not arguing, just stating facts and the 2.5 has cam hear failure and it's easily heard on a cold start. I have had two of them and of them have suffered with cam gear rattle related to The TSB 0041-13. it's a very noisy, whining, rattling piece of junk.

@@KNfilters I know, I've seen those claims. If you want to do this, you need a high tech scan tool to reprogram your car's computer so it still runs efficiently. Either way, a 4-5 HP increase and decrease in MPG for a $300+ air intake kit isn't pleasing. Sorry

Really? "Cold air intakes" are not effective without retuning from stock. Otherwise, it will run poorly.
Sorry Josh, but that's simply not true. We dyno test each intake application and guarantee a horsepower increase. No tune necessary.
