When I first came across this page, I thought to myself “Are there really 10s of thousands of idiots out there watching some dude open coins and more so why would anyone buy rolls of coins (Laundry I get)” Find a better hobby folks.. I just laughed and laughed... Well Rob, I Just wanted to drop you a line and thank you for introducing me to the most addict full hobby/pastime, job etc... But I only cash 1 paycheck every 2 weeks... I’d love to continue to chew ya out but, I got some quarter rolls waiting..
Great find I've been longing to find a 1971 d DDO half dollar I have been coin roll hunting for 11 months and have never found one Great find brother Rob
I discovered you just recently. And I love your enthusiasm and presentation! You gave me some great ideas that should help me organize my collection; thanks Rob!
Congrats on getting the FS 101 for yourself. I've been looking for it more and more lately. I believe I've found the FS 102 but not the 101. thanks for sharing.
It not a coin I hunt, but I love your streams and all your hunts. I enjoy your knowledge of coins it's quite refreshing, I always learn something. One day you'll find that 1916S :😉
What's most interesting about the Barber, is it's nickname. It's true Identification is the Liberty Head. The nickname Barber comes from Charles E Barber the mint's chief engraver.
I did 2 boxes in the past and I wish I found your channel before then. I didn't get any 64 and older but did find a lot of coins that had silver and I turned them in to pay a medical bill.
What is NIFC stand for? Where do you by boxes of rolled halves? like the microscope, will buy. like the mats too, will buy. Please advise, waiting to hear back from you. thanks, ken
NIFC - Not Intended For Circulation. Coins made by the mint for collectors but they find their way into circulation since they are spending money as well.
Hey rob I just got the microscope you use in the mail and set it up last night, I am having trouble with the zoom, perhaps you could share your settings with me? Mine looks to be just a bit too grainy/screen flashing no matter how I adjust the turn dial, I didn’t know if you changed some of the settings as well? Maybe some insight? Thanks rob!
When the dies need to be reworked, they sometimes misalign them and accidentally place a second strike on the die that will be used to strike coins. Therefore, every coin struck with that die will be the exact same.
Hey Rob, great hunt as always. How do you tell if it's NIFC? It seems like some you find are shinier than others. Thanks for the education and keep up the fun work!
NIFC - Not Intended For Circulation. Coins made by the mint for collectors but they find their way into circulation since they are spending money as well. They were struck in 1970 (40% Silver), 1987 and 2002-present. It's the date that lets us know they are NIFC coins.
More bill searches and ebay things some come with coins gold silver bills silver certificate all sorts of thing you should get some that arent just some rolls more of a variety. Either way I like the content so keep up the searching
If condition is important to you, don't touch the coins. Grab them by the edges. That coin you put in a holder will deteriorate over time because of the oils on your finger tip. This is how finger prints end up on slabbed coins, making the grade you paid for no longer valid. The person grading the coin is not going to know you touched it. Good luck with finding the junk silver though.

@@user-reddit-reader not really, usually lower amount minted though. Just makes it harder to fill a coin book

Nice rob how's it going man summer went so fast winter time is the right time to find goodies
rob got me into hunting coins
Awesome
No silver to hear the clink in the 2020 jar. But an FS-101 find - you can't get mad at that.
Why do you keep the NIFC’s? They are so plentiful.
What is NIFC and how do you determine it? I’m a new subscriber and a very amateur coin collector
What is a NIFC? And how do you tell it apart from the other coins?
PS, I enjoy your videos
I have a question, how exactly does a doubled die coin get struck? What about the triple die and quadruple dies too?
When the dies need to be reworked, they sometimes misalign them and accidentally place a second strike on the die that will be used to strike coins. Therefore, every coin struck with that die will be the exact same.
@@RobFindsTreasure When you say rework what does that mean? Like re-carved or re-engraved with a machine?
@@Tadfafty Ok thanks!
No silver but great variety find. Can’t get mad at that.

It's the designation numbers assigned by Bill Fivaz and J.T. Stanton as found in The Cherrypickers' Guide to Rare Die Varieties. FS = Fivaz Stanton.
