Why does cornelia’s arm take most of season 2 to heal if there’s a year time skip between them? Shouldn’t it have already healed by the time season 2 begins?
With regards to the dating/mistress thing with Lelouch, C.C.'s honest dialogue with Lelouch at the end of Resurrection pretty much implies she knows or rather, that there is an understanding between the girls around Lelouch that they're "sharing". She implies that Lelouch will still meet with Shirley and the other girls, which is why she was jealous as she was about to leave and travel alone again, but Lelouch surprises her by choosing to travel with her even though he doesn't deny her statements.
@@MyMediaChops I mean, it's certainly not a typical harem genre anime (of the young/teeny sort) since they didn't make it the central point of the story and have shallow plot. And, CG is the more adult kind of story in terms of handling human relationships between the characters so they handled nuances more deeply and maturely than other anime. But I think it kinda does play off into that whole setting or image of Lelouch being a royalty (hence he would marry and have mistresses). Now that I think about it, the girls all seem to serve specific positions: Shirley is the typical commoner girl in love with the prince. Milly is the standard political engagement type of noble girl. Kallen is the half-noble half-commoner type of romantic interest. Euphemia was the distant-relative royalty type of childhood love interest. Kaguya is the political marriage with a foreign country type of royalty. C.C is the mysterious stranger who just suddenly appears type of love interest. They all seem to fit within a specific trope. Euphemia aside, the rest of the girls have all been quite obvious with their interactions with Lelouch, and they have seen and interacted with each other around him at some point. It's not really entirely surprising given the whole "adults talk about these things in private" approach they went with in terms of these topics. And, the only things they left out there for us to see were the most important dramatic scenes for effect. IMO it has that same level of "matureness" of depth that we would see in older anime like Evangelion.
@@kamikaze00007 older anime like Evangelion damn I guess it would qualify at this point. I like how you elaborated her, I may borrow this in a future video.
@@MyMediaChops man, I feel old. I grew up with Evangelion, Gundam, and CG. My early childhood anime were Tenchi Muyo! and Saber Marionette J. But I guess because of that I can see how old anime handled such adult nuances in a mature manner better than most anime for teens nowadays where everything has to be so blatant or outright in your face in order for the target audience to understand the context. I mean, why else would we have folks arguing in the comments section on whether certain characters "banged" or not just because it was "implied" instead of outright shown in animation? It's like modern anime audiences nowadays can only understand what is visually shown, not what is being told by the story itself.
@@kamikaze00007 I agree with your last point to some extent. Although it depends on how much the story gives us vs people just inserting headcanon. Imo the story needs to gives enough information for people to figure out stuff on their own. But the area of greyness is how much is enough. If you have discussed any topics in Code Geass with fans you know what I mean.

I hadn't considered that probably because I don't like seeing CG as a harem anime.
But that being said that is a fair point.
Now that I think about it, the girls all seem to serve specific positions:
Shirley is the typical commoner girl in love with the prince.
