At least someone from the Kenway family respected him. Unlike a certain someone who doesn't know how to tie a rope on a ships sail, or loading a cannon, or leading a seabattle. Is it a fact that grandchildren are more loved by their grandparents than by their parents ?
I've always wondered how it would have turned out if Haytham stayed an assassin, i think the Kenway name would be as iconic as the Auditore's. Maybe even greater, a long legacy of legendary assassins.
Honestly I love AC3 it’s my favorite AC, though I won’t lie AC4 is tied with it for #1. For some reason my favorite location in all of AC4 is Nassau the game is so aesthetically pleasing.
I remember playing the Tyranny DLC and liking Connor more, even though I never minded him, but honestly, it cemented my opinion that most of the AC protagonists would have greatly benefited from a follow up game. Assassin's Creed should have functioned like franchises within a franchise, considering how the series works and could essentially take place anywhere and anytime in the world. I especially wanted a follow-up with Arno and a game with Aya.
@newhybrid101 Yeah, those homestead missions and speech (still weird it got removed) were definitely the best characterization he got, I mostly meant it was cool to see a different side of him. Maybe I need to replay it since it has been a few years.
You're not wrong, Ezio had 3 games and a short animated film dedicated to him. Now he's looked back as one of the best protagonists, not just in AC but in gaming. Connor wasn't introduced until about an hour or two after 3 began. He had a minor cameo in Liberation, but afaik, not many people enjoyed or even played it.
@AnakinSkywakka That was what I had in mind when I was thinking about it. It's no wonder Ezio is so loved, I think he deserves it, but I have to wonder if he would have been particular remarkable had we only had ACII. I remember seeing someone, I think Lazerzz, talk about what if Connor was in Unity and I honestly think if they had more cohesion AC3, 4, Unity, and Rogue could've been an incredible follow up to AC1-Revelations.
@moonlightillari Imagine if we had a follow-up Unity DLC of Arno going after Shay. Perhaps Arno would consort with Connor to assist in hunting Shay and his allies down, similar to how Shay and Haytham hunted down the old Colonial brotherhood.
Does ubisoft actually realize how much money they'd make off a black flag remaster? I can't believe they know, cuz if they did know, that's no way they wouldn't have made it already
Edward is his Grandfather. Haytham Kenway was Edward's son from his second wife after his first wife died. Perhaps Haytham or Achilles talked about it with him. Tbh, this is one of a few issues I had with AC3, everything was vague.
It's probably Achilles since he was friend with Adwale and that Adewale would have certainly talk about him. Also the events AC3 happens at the same time than AC rogue so it's more than plausible for Connor to have met Adewale himself

Sad that we might never see these type of stories from Ubisoft ever again. Luckily where Ubisoft fails, other developers will take their place, like Sucker Punch with Ghost of Tsushima.
Of course, after all, he didnt meet him in person. Dont get me wrong, Edward was the GOAT, but he wasn’t really someone I would leave to babysit kids with, even if he wasn’t shot in London ans Haytham wasn’t kidnapped by Templars.
I just always assumed haythem told connors mother stories about Edward and his mother told them to Connor. But obviously Haythem loathed Edward so probably made Edward out to be far worse than he actually was. Like when Connor says “he sailed with a rough crew” we know Edwards crew all things considered were the most sparing crew out of the rest of the pirate “gang” vane was a ruthless murdered Thatch would psychologically torture all of his victims Rakham would sell slaves I forget the other ones name but he too wasn’t that violent he never fought British ships and took the kings bargaining deal. Haythems stories were told from a bitter and biased perspective with him being a devout Templar and his father starting out as a pirate and becoming a member of the Assassin order. Everything he stands against. Haythem believed order could only truly be gained with control of a populous. Where as Edward believed it could only be obtained through absolute freedom of choice without consequence. Edward sailed under his own flag. Maintaining his independence and when he saw templars attempting to eradicate his way of life he joined the opposition. In an attempt to maintain that. Edward never did any of that of his pirate mates did. If anything he spared who he could to take on as crew or send off to his own fleet of ships!
Edward wasn't my favourite assassin. I thought he was a foolish man. A child, this man just made moronic decision. I respect him though, he met a slave and wanted to make him captain instead. He thought people wouldn't accept that but left with him alone, adewale would be captain

The surname Kenway died with Connor , most likely the surname wasnt passed down to any of his children but the bloodline still was going until WIlliam Miles and Desmond before he sacrificed himself
Connor is personally my favorite assassin, but black flag was my favorite assassin game. And one of the only games to ever really hit me hard.
Man, bro cut out the most important part of that end cutscene.... The flying chair.
That last scene man 🥲
They might not have been the best people but they were gang 🙏🏿. Still feel like shedding a tear when I see them all sitting there
just imagine what GOAT games we had back in the days, when I remember the filling I felf during those playthroughs, how I miss it. dmn...
Had to give us the hit in the feels where Edward sees all his old friends huh. Well at least Connor probably had a happy ending.
Black Flag ending had me crying whenever I finished it for the first time
That ending always hurts. To relatable for me
The fact that this entire conversation is basically Ubisoft saying "Connor's grandfather is a Pirate and you will 'hear more about him' soon, hinting at the release of Black Flag is so cool! Oh how I miss old Ubisoft...
Pay respect to the most dirtiest assassin of the kenways, none other than Edward james kenway.
I sang sea shanties with Sean Dagher last week, lads. It brought tears to my eyes.
Connor is stoic but still then he has a soft corner for his friends and helpess friends. Btw this is the only scene where i heard connor laughing
ohh edward kenway the goat and gives goosebumps
AC : Black Flag was an emotion for me. A piece of art. Action, thrill , emotions.... everything.
He even chuckled....
At least someone from the Kenway family respected him. Unlike a certain someone who doesn't know how to tie a rope on a ships sail, or loading a cannon, or leading a seabattle.
Is it a fact that grandchildren are more loved by their grandparents than by their parents ?
Hot damn, that was a cold edit and you used no music, only gameplay.
For the king?
For himself 🤺🛡️
Connor foreshadowing a whole game is wild
Man, I miss the old AC games so much.
Requiescat in pace...
I've always wondered how it would have turned out if Haytham stayed an assassin, i think the Kenway name would be as iconic as the Auditore's. Maybe even greater, a long legacy of legendary assassins.
Damn the Black Flag Ending caught me off guard, the tears man
Nice
AC Rogue should have been about how Haythen became a Templar
I wish you could do free roam on the aqualia
Isn't this the tyranny of Washington dlc? I thought that was completely broken.
If there ever is a movie or series or something about Edward, Charlie Hunham better be the actor...
Amazing video!!! I love Edward and Connor!!! 😁😁😎😎💯💯💯✨✨✨
Honestly I love AC3 it’s my favorite AC, though I won’t lie AC4 is tied with it for #1. For some reason my favorite location in all of AC4 is Nassau the game is so aesthetically pleasing.
Man i need a remake.
I don’t think I ever finished Black Flag
I need to correct that
The kenway saga is PEAK
What part of the game he said that? And who told him his grandpa story?
У Коннора такой приятный голос в оригинале
I remember playing the Tyranny DLC and liking Connor more, even though I never minded him, but honestly, it cemented my opinion that most of the AC protagonists would have greatly benefited from a follow up game. Assassin's Creed should have functioned like franchises within a franchise, considering how the series works and could essentially take place anywhere and anytime in the world. I especially wanted a follow-up with Arno and a game with Aya.
Strangely enough i didn't like him much in the DLC.
He became my favourite Assassin from playing the Homestead missions and seeing his deleted speech
A rough crew, aye. But no crew better than they.
The Ending Of Black Flag 😢
Connor has Welsh blood in him 🏴🏴🏴
I'd really love to know how connor knew about edward.
How can some people hate ac4
For me it was a masterpiece
If heath wouldn’t have died he would have been perfect for the role
Heath?
@nicholasrodriguez4990 I assume they ment Heath Ledger?
I mean Edward is his grandfather
Wtf, era necesario la ultima escena?, casi lloro😢
Damn, I don't remember this dialogue
I hate it when RUclipsrs play game clips without subtitles
Does ubisoft actually realize how much money they'd make off a black flag remaster? I can't believe they know, cuz if they did know, that's no way they wouldn't have made it already
How did he know about Edward?
Edward is his Grandfather. Haytham Kenway was Edward's son from his second wife after his first wife died. Perhaps Haytham or Achilles talked about it with him. Tbh, this is one of a few issues I had with AC3, everything was vague.
It's probably Achilles since he was friend with Adwale and that Adewale would have certainly talk about him. Also the events AC3 happens at the same time than AC rogue so it's more than plausible for Connor to have met Adewale himself
@@alfirindil7028 Achilles makes more sense yea
Adewale is dead when connor is a child
@@JamesMceveley-qz3mk true, my mistake... so it's definitely Achilles
Just finished assassins creed 4 today for the first time, never played any of them until i played unity a few years back, so i bought them all and heard amazing things about black flag, and i cried at the ending, so damn sad, he lost everyone😢
I feel like One Piece ending will be similar to AC4 ending
Sad that we might never see these type of stories from Ubisoft ever again.
Luckily where Ubisoft fails, other developers will take their place, like Sucker Punch with Ghost of Tsushima.
How did Connor find out about Edward, anyway?
How does Connor know about Edward?
Of course, after all, he didnt meet him in person. Dont get me wrong, Edward was the GOAT, but he wasn’t really someone I would leave to babysit kids with, even if he wasn’t shot in London ans Haytham wasn’t kidnapped by Templars.
JUST FOCUS ON THE STORY! WORRY LESS ABOUT THE GRAPHICS 🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️
When was he told about Edward?
My guess off screen with Achilles telling stories of past crew.
How did he learn about his family?
Possibility from Achilles off screen since he knew Adewale.
Plus Haytham's Diary
Thats is a dlc right? Come out after Black flag?
it came out before black flag, but they were planning black flag while producing 3 i think, Shaun mentions Edward while talking about Haytham
It's called The Tyranny of King Washington if you're interested.
adds nothing to ac itself, the whole dlc was just a vision
@fivebefman Adds character to Connor and its an interesting what if scenario.
@@AnakinSkywakka loved the dlc but it was pretty stupid how washington decided to build a pyramid
What game is Connor from?
How did he know about his grandfather?
I just always assumed haythem told connors mother stories about Edward and his mother told them to Connor. But obviously Haythem loathed Edward so probably made Edward out to be far worse than he actually was. Like when Connor says “he sailed with a rough crew” we know Edwards crew all things considered were the most sparing crew out of the rest of the pirate “gang”
vane was a ruthless murdered
Thatch would psychologically torture all of his victims
Rakham would sell slaves
I forget the other ones name but he too wasn’t that violent he never fought British ships and took the kings bargaining deal.
Ohh watching this hurts I loved black flag it really hits u on an emotional level if u really dive into the games backstory
Edward wasn't my favourite assassin. I thought he was a foolish man.
A child, this man just made moronic decision. I respect him though, he met a slave and wanted to make him captain instead. He thought people wouldn't accept that but left with him alone, adewale would be captain
But couldn’t respect his dad
What rubbish. Connor hasn't even met his grandfather.
"or so I am told"
@@shahparkhashami7873 exactly, in what world is it possible to respect someone you haven't met. The video's title is misleading.
@@ashfernandes2651The video title is sarcastic bullshit, still pushing the Connor hate-train 12 years after they robbed the character of a sequel and an actual conclusion to his story.
The DLC isnt canon, These events never happened. Black flag was announced before the DLC was released and him "referencing" edward was a means to build hype for the next. In the main game, connor doesnt know anything about edward
@@504godzilla exactly bro, what infuriates me is the title of the video. It's nothing but a lie
Kids: Edward
Grown Ups: Connor
Legends: *Haytham*

@@EuropoopianPigskin🤡🤡
@@sumairali1688Haytham fell.
He became what he hated.
Connor did not and choose to never give up.
Haytham couldnt have a family.
Even Haytham said in his journal that he was disgusted with himself and what he had become.
Connor is stated to have had a good family with multiple kids and he was happy with them till he died extremely old
The whole point of the story is that Connor is a better man than Haytham was, cause he learned his story and read his journal.
Your comment is immature like a child's.
All these 3 characters are very well written but very different to each other.
But who is the best man here?
Connor by far.
Edward also became a good man but he didnt see what was going on and he got killed.
But overall Connor had the most success in his life.
Its stated that the damage he did to the Templars was irreparable even till 21st century.
He also trained Adewales grandson and assisted in later wars even when he was middle aged.
Haytham walked,but Connor run.
I have nothing else to say to you, hope you understand.
Ha… ahahaha… no he didn’t.
Wow i forgot how ugly black flag looked, also why does Edward havw have a completely different face in the cinematic trailers for black flag?
