I'm happy to answer any question about my adaptive devices or my disability! Nutshell: I've been a quadriplegic since February 2020, can't feel or move anything below my shoulders (aside from a little bicep strength,) and my neck cannot move due to being fully fused with rods.
If you're willing to run the game with plugins, I've authored one that enables the use of Tobii eye-tracking to override the Tab and Circle targeting functions of the game, enabling more precise selection of targets when a lot of scrolling through large number of enemies or allies is required. Particularly useful for spot-healing in Alliance Raids or targeting specific enemies in Fate Trains. The main reason I wrote it is for improved accessibility, and a more comfortable experience when playing with gamepads and other devices that aren't pointing devices
My C5 exploded and punctured my spinal cord. Also blew out the disk between C1 and C2. Shit sucks. It is ridiculously tough, especially remembering how things used to be. I hope you're managing
hope you continue to love playing ff14 :) glad youtube randomly recommended me your channel. Will check out the streams sometime! much love from a fellow ultros player!!
It makes me happy as fuck that this guy gets to play videogames too. Like, fuck yeah dude. I love that for you man honestly. I hope you love FF14 a whole lot. Also; 1:40:09 made me laugh, great work guy!
True accessibility isn't making a game "easier" for people to make them feel strong. its creating a device to interact with something as anyone else would Cheers for showing what can be done.
Hey, randomly got here and you're awesome. I don't have the use of my right arm, so i had to learn how to play with only the left. But you're much more impressive than me ! Hope you'll like the game, it's got so much to offer ! Strength from Chaos DC !
@@thecivilmerc9898 My problem is it's nice to be able to log whenever as a trial for free, and I already have a huge library and backlog. I'm half tempted to make another trial account, get to 70, and then activate that account just so experience Shadowbringers and Endwalker. That, or just wait until they eventually make those expansions as part of the trial XD
@@thecivilmerc9898 thank you for explaining that without spoiling the story. I am heading for shadowbringers. I can tell when I am in a new expansion by logging into the companion app on my phone.
You are a true inspiration to watch! You were in my RUclips recommendations! I have never seen anything like this! Great vid, keep up the good work! Liked & Subbed! Stay awesome!!!
this is so cool, i'm glad you get to enjoy this game with us! just wondering, does your jaw ever get tired? i have TMJ and i feel like my jaw would be so exhausted after one fight!
It definitely can get tired. Also, since the inputs are sip/puff I can get winded by either trying to spam or holding an input (basically holding my breath.)
we must protect this man at all costs I can only imagine what he must go through if he encounters toxic players in daily roulettes who pull wall to wall remember you never know who is behind the other screen
To be fair, pulling w2w isn't toxic, it's a gameplay style. You can only hope that whoever initiated the w2w bares the responsibility of controlling it and taking accountability for the results of it.
I've only hit one toxic player. In A11 I didn't know you had to click on the air ducts to avoid lethal damage. Had no way of clicking since my battle controls mimic a keyboard. I died and he made fun of me. We wiped. Died again to the mechanic and made fun of me again and again at the end. I can't type fast enough to tell him why before the smug bastard left. Added an interact hotkey to my controls now. I hate that mechanic and so far it's the only one like it I've come across.
@@JasonQuests I'm so sorry you had to go through that I'd hug you if I could you don't deserve that kind of treatment and this is exactly what I mean, people jump in and pull without even time to type.
@@OtherlingQueen ironically, I usually main as BLM, so I prefer pulling in large groups. What actually bothers me are tanks who are consistently repositioning. I want them to either just pulled one group at a time or just pull everything; otherwise they are hesitant and end up pulling things out of my range over and over
@@JasonQuests omg yes those tanks. Like do a wall to wall pull is usually fine. But once you get all the mobs and stop for a few seconds I put down my earthly star. But these tanks then for No reason pull the pack far enough that they are outside my earthly star and don’t benefit from the heals or the damage. 😵💫. The only think worse is a tank that doesn’t realize they are cleaving the party with their positioning 😂
Fighting through that pain and tingling must still be difficult and frustrating. I may get some more playtime, but being bed-bound gives me a bit of extra time ^_^
This is beyond amazing. There are things I struggle to accomplish with a traditional controller that you make seem simple. Especially those jumping games? Multitasking in challenges? I commend you.
I don't know how much one can actually do with a neuralink. It kinda sounds like a lot of overblown promises. I know someone played mario kart with it, but that's a fairly simple game. I also don't know how risky it is or its longevity. But anything that is safe and restores any feeling or motor control I'd be down for.
Imagine entitled whiny xiv players complaining that they have so called disabilities so the game needs to be easier while this sigma giga chad is rising to the challenge. Like Hellen Keller he doesnt demand the world be easier abd pity him. Like a hero, this guy knows he is in for a difficult life and time with anything. He rises to the challenge. All those saying xiv is too hard, dawn trail too hard, should be ashamed of themselves.

That's fantastic! I don't use any Tobii devices but I'll keep that in mind
What's it called? I'm interested in using it
Being a true gamer knows no bounds. So happy you found your way 😁
man that setup is impressive, your game-play's so smooth!
thats so fuckin rad man! your gameplay is so good! I hope to see you out there!
Motivational man. I fractured my c5,6,7 a year ago and it has been incredibly tough mentally physically and emotionally. Keep it up 💪

I've spent a ridiculous amount of time in the trial: leveling all jobs, getting a few relics, collecting everything possible. It's a great game
This is incredible! Love seeing the finesse and skill behind playing like this. A serious hero among heroes.
It's amazing how accessible games are nowadays for people, even if it requires some workarounds.
I hope you're having a great time with FF14!
Impressive and amazing! truly inspiring, keep it up brother, hope to someday see you in eorzea!
wait this is actually fucking impressive and amazing dude
AND NINJA TOO?? you got balls my man

Should give Final Fantasy XI a try one day, the story is phenomenal.
Man, you're a badass. I struggle to play this game even with a normal controller. You're a legend.
This is impressive. I hope you enjoy the game. Glad we live in a time with that much tech.
It's a great game. Stormblood was a little weak due to Lyse. I'm still playing the trial atm, not sure when I will proceed to Shadowbringers

I highly recommend it. ShB is really when the story kicks into high gear and doesn't let up all the way thru EW
