I think it's situational, if the site you're going will have more close angles, the phantom's much better. If there are gonna be some longer range fights def get the Vandal also boils down to playstyle too. I normally try to switch it up sometimes. If i am performing well with the spectre on the lower buy rounds, i'll get the phantom. But if i feel a little off with my sprays, i'll get the vandal for sure. The Vandal just feels more accurate sometimes :)

Something you missed talking about, even though a long-range headshot does not kill the enemy, a headshot messes the enemy's aim so you have time to hit another shot with your bursts.
Imo, i think everyone takes fights differently, let’s say you’re really comfortable taking fights long range, but you struggle close, i suggest doing the opposite of what you think you’re better at and instead of choosing the vandal trying to get those long range engagements, use the phantom because it’ll help you with close since you are so comfortable taking long, if you’re bad with long but good with short, choose the vandal, i myself use the vandal and it’s been much easier taking fights because i suck at long but short is where i excel at, so i just makeup for my terrible long range with the vandal helping me out
Nice video I would definitely focus on recoil as well, but till now I think best way is how I use both guns. I use vandal on long range with max 3 Bullet burst I don't spam vandal only rarely on the other hand if I know I'm gonna play on short range I use phantom as it has much higher fire rate and phantom is better ik short ranges much more than vandal that's what I found out in my experience
The only reason why I use the Phantom more than the Vandal is because the Phantom and Guardian is the only gun I have a skin on. My aim feels off when I use the default Vandal for some reason.
actually, the secret most spectre and phantom user have is to make it easy to aim. you can do that by binding your crouch with your left click. it takes 3 bullets shot before you actually do a full crouch which will auto correct your next 3 bullets to be closer to each other but do remember that you will still have to move your mouse down on the 6th bullet. thing about this is its more work a bit longer time to kill than vandal .

what i used to do wrong was use a vandal as my main gun because my friends told me to and was still using phantom combos like crouching and all which made me terrible at the game so if you are not good with your one taps you should first try using only sherrif as warmups in deatmatches and range then you should hop in with a vandal but if u cant do that just improve your sprays
I prefer phantom and tbh those times when u x2 hs the enemy makes you love the game more! Sometimes it's frustrating but you know the rifle you pick and it ain't that hard to play around it's "weakness" especially if you play controllers or cypher or anything that denies vision and let's you push in, cause suddenly there is no weakness but only advantages. Other than that with all the blinds, smokes etc that exist in the game phantom is just better you don't get your position revealed when the enemy team does. Many times i've been called a cheater getting kills through smokes when the enemy just spays with vandal and get their position revealed.
Best way to improve this is to just learn both and buy the gun that is beneficial for your playstyle for a certain map, for example on ascent i'm always buying phantom because i'm gonna be dashing as Jett onto site which will make medium range phantom better but if i'm playing fracture i'm gonna play vandal because i'm gonna play more aggresively with longer angles where the 1 shot headshot will be more beneficial
To be honest, I started playing Valorant mainly only using Phantom for some reason. I got so used to Phantom that by this point, whenever I picked up a Vandal nowadays my aim suddenly drops a few ranks. Now I know why.
it depends on what agent i play and what map im on, like, if i play sova, i mostly play vandal unless im on a rather short range map like bind, if i play cypher i mostly play phantom bc of the cage the same with omen and his smoke, if i play neon i mostly play vandal, unless i know i will be closer to the enemies

Phantom gun recovery is 35s and vandal is 375s. tap firirng (fast) with both guns if you let them reset the phantom will always reset faster then the vandal. It would not make sense for a rifle that deals less dmg to have worse recoil reset. Here's how you can look at it: Vandal big pp dmg hard to controll recoil, Longer reset time. Phantom although silenced, Less dmg, Longer time to kill, But easyer to controll and faster recoil reset.
phantom has much faster time to kill because it shoots a lot faster. Thats 350ms recovery time you are talking about works when you tap fire bullets 1 by 1. With vandal you can shoot 1-3 bullets at a time and it'll recover much faster, but in the same time period that you shoot 3 bullets with vandal, phantom shoots like 5. Thats why Phantom's recoil stacks up quickly and even though it has lower insividual bullet recovery time, it has a higher revovery time overall. Even if you tap mb1 once you fire like 2-3 bullets with phantom because of its fire rate.

Thus, I no longer use Prime or "pew-pew" sounding skins... anything that significantly dampens the sound throws my brain off and find myself at the end of the round like it's not a Phantom. The bigger the sound the more likely you are to distinguish the difference when it counts after the buy.

Whenever I use a Vandal, I almost instantly die. I think this is because I like to aim at bodies for a more easier target. So with the Phantom, I get to spray much easier at bodies for a faster kill.
@@ZoZonePlayz i think it would be good if you create thumbnails that would catch people's attention. also make sure the first 2 - 3 seconds of your video is the most interesting because most people would click off if nothing interesting happens within that time. Make sure you interact with your viewers, and i think more cuts should be added in your videos or add cool transitions, don't just make it random Gameplay with music over it. It will probably be difficult to learn how to edit in a way that would keep people entertained for around 10 minutes but if you practice with some sort of editing software or look up tutorials you could do it just fine. Don't be afraid to ads!! Sometimes my aims wonky and I can fix it by using ads for a game or 2. Some times my ads is wonky and I can hipfire a game or two to fix it. The thing I've noticed is that your aim is never consistent day by day. Some days you'll be a beast. Some days, you'll be average.

All the below fights are occuring in the 10-15m "sweet range" Phantom wins against any pistol in 10-15m range, maybe except sheriff. Sheriff can win but they need to land a headshot which is very hard in close range especially with that the Phantom user can just spray them down. Phantom wins against both smgs in 10-15m range. SMGs can win but if the Phantom user manages to headshot they are dead anyways so it comes down to aim Shotguns deal max damage till like 5-7 meters so its not even close Bulldog, wins easily Guardian, has to headshot the Phantom user otherwise dead Vandal, dead but its a close 50/50. Whoever lands the headshot wins. Phantom can hit the head easier in close range because of its superior accuracy and fire rate Marshall, not even close. Op wins if they hit their shot but the Phantom user can play around them if they know what theyre doing. Finally the MGs. Wins again because MGs dont 1 shot headshot and they are most effective in 20-30 meters. So in a perfect world where the Phantom user can hit the head all the time, Phantom is just statistically the best weapon in the game in 10-15m range. And it still holds its own till 30 meters because its also statistical that over 80% of fights where the Phantom user dings the enemy for 140 kills them afterwards anyway. But after 30 meter Phantom really falls off, and Vandal is still slightly better in 15-30m range so it should only be buyed if you are going to fight in close quarters. It feels bad to use at first after using vandal the whole time but once you get the hang of it and buy it in proper times just the gun itself will win you many fights that you otherwise wouldnt have won.

I think the only real question is if you plan on spamming smokes. Phantom is better for spamming smokes. Other than that, purely personal preference.

Vandal, dead but its a close 50/50. Whoever lands the headshot wins. Phantom can hit the head easier in close range because of its superior accuracy and fire rate
Marshall, not even close. Op wins if they hit their shot but the Phantom user can play around them if they know what theyre doing.
Finally the MGs. Wins again because MGs dont 1 shot headshot and they are most effective in 20-30 meters.
So in a perfect world where the Phantom user can hit the head all the time, Phantom is just statistically the best weapon in the game in 10-15m range. And it still holds its own till 30 meters because its also statistical that over 80% of fights where the Phantom user dings the enemy for 140 kills them afterwards anyway. But after 30 meter Phantom really falls off, and Vandal is still slightly better in 15-30m range so it should only be buyed if you are going to fight in close quarters.
It feels bad to use at first after using vandal the whole time but once you get the hang of it and buy it in proper times just the gun itself will win you many fights that you otherwise wouldnt have won.
