Have you gone through the ignition yet , it is running very uneven , which makes them vey knocky get a test kit and check coolant for leaking head gasket , check your coils for spark , lubricate the advancer unit behind the points , replace the points and set them , there is a plug on the crankcase to check timing F marks , put a piece of cardboard in the points gap and then check the opposite side for timing . I fitted a relay to boost voltage to the ballast, I replaced my spark plug caps with NGK but you need to remove the resistor , unscrew the inside bit and it comes out , replace with a bit of 4x17mm brass . Cheers
Thank you for the great information. After Joe's maiden test ride, he discovered lots of issues with this Goldwing. The ignition issue is one of many. He's still working on his design plan for the bike and once that is completed, he'll be addressing all the issues. The electrical system in general is in horrible shape and will have to be gone through and most likely replaced at which time he'll also tackle the ignition issues. Thanks for all of the great tips! We appreciate you taking the time to share your experiences and techniques with us and the viewers, it helps save time researching and investigating for everyone!🤓
Hi again, how long is the full length video? this one is great as usual but I would like to be able to see in detail what has to be done. Don't worry if it's a lot of trouble or if I am the only one asking.
Hello Again, Thank you for watching our video, we're glad you enjoyed it. We're not sure how long the video will be, but we'll do our best to work on it over the Christmas break so you can check it out. Other people may be interested in the more detailed, extended version too. Have a great weekend!
