Yeah but the scuff ones you can’t change the length of the press like the dualsense edge controller it has 3 modes compared to the scuff which has only 1 and also the scuff doesn’t have haptic feedback or adaptive triggers
Can someone tell me why some people treat Mouse click triggers and buttons like they’re a godsend? I hear about it with these custom PS5 controllers but is it really any better than the normal L2 and R2?
Competitively, yes but not that much, people tend to foeget that you don't need to press the L2 and R2 the whole way for you to shoot. However any other game, just sucks, imagine driving, you can only drive fast. If you want s pro controller buy a Dualsense Edge, it's manufactured by Sony, has paddles, and has trigger stoppers, not mouse click.
For fps yeah it's a completely different beast, especially in cross play games, helps keep it a little more fair against m&k. Also good for the person who prefers no haptic feedback at all other than a textile click. However these kinds of triggers and buttons are completely unusable for a lot of single player games, sports games, and racing obviously.
The Dualsense Edge comes with short dome and long dome, along with standard sticks. The controller can be digitally adjusted and tweaked to fit your play style. The paddles can easily be swapped between half dome and paddles. Though you lose 2 paddles, you gain nearly unlimited customization. I have 2 Scuf controllers for the ps4. I love them, but they are very limited in customization, outside of esthetics.
I've had the edge since it released, and I dont see myself using a different controller for a while. The replaceable stick modules makes it hard to beat rn for me.
The controller can be used on steam deck, linux, mac, and pc even on your phone with steam link and steam input with remapable buttons and gyro its actually a good buy for some pc players as we all know PC players buy really expensive keyboards especially me as I have 4 ps5 controllers and no ps5 console.
Just bought the ps5 pro one or whatever it’s called yesterday and I’m enjoying it so far. It feels premium but I’ve tried my friends scuf controller and it felt more light and cheap I feel like it would break easy. Plus the paddles on the back on the ps5 pro controller is longer which is better for me because I have carpal tunnel
In the us, the dualsense edge is $230, so the customized controller would also be a little cheaper. Dualsense edge also has the ps5 software you can use to program your stick sensitivity settings (like quick, dynamic, steady) and you can program how far you have to push in the triggers for the triggers to register. I wish the dualsense came with digital triggers and bumpers because those feel far superior to normal membrane triggers and buttons, but each controller has its benefits which i think evens them out to what youre looking for, extra settings and a way to combat stick drift, or mouse click triggers, stick tension, and more physical customization.
Digital Triggers and Bumpers suck The PS1-PS3 all used digital triggers and bumpers and they were utter shit The stock switch joycons also use Digital Analog is far superior Even hal-effect triggers are better than digital
@P_D-px6iv their digital triggers are actually mouse click triggers, so they replace the rubber membrane in the R1, L1, R2, and L2 bumpers and triggers with a mechanical switch. They're good and last longer, but the downside is you can't really use them for any games besides shooters because you have no control over the pressure you apply. You either push it in all the way to register a click, or you don't push it in at all. Can't be used very well in racing games, for example. Almost no controller has digital or mouse click triggers without being a pro or custom controller. Most controllers use the rubber membrane. The same goes for digital face buttons (action buttons and pad). Now, the analog stick modules are what suck. Almost all controllers use potentiometer modules, which will always, at some point, get stick drift. Even controllers with swappable modules, like the dualsense edge, still use potentiometer modules. Could be a month, could be 2 yrs, but it'll get stick drift eventually. Hall effect modules won't get stick drift because, unlike potentiometer modules, they use magnets instead of friction to determine movement. Very few controllers use hall effect modules, I believe Microsoft is releasing a controller in the future using hall effect modules.
@Ghost-_-Gav click triggers are garbage pads are way better What are you talking about tons of shit uses digital triggers and bumpers with digital pads? A majority of controllers made before the Xbox 360 controller, PS1-3, most handheld game consoles with bumpers such as GBA, PSP, PSVita, All DS models, etc Exactly they're only good for Shooter games and even then there's not really any advantage over pads Hal effect sticks can drift as the magnets degrade or if they get damaged they're not 100% full proof Same with the stupid Hal effect triggers in xbox controllers if any of the magnets come out of place or start degrading they stop working correctly and loose their range of motion so they end up acting like a digital trigger with no range Potentiometer based sticks shouldn't get drift for years unless you abuse the controller Analog triggers are the superior trigger type they're potentiometer based, the springs can be replaced for a softer or firmer throw, and they don't wear out as fast as Hal effect or digital triggers
@P_D-px6iv Chill out. Clearly, you have no idea what you're talking about. You're calling analog sticks digital triggers, and all kinds of stuff. The majority of people that have used mechanical, aka digital, mouse click, or tactile switches for triggers prefer them for shooter games. If you don't believe me, look it up. Mechanical switches also last longer than the membrane based triggers and buttons. Hall effect modules will last far, far longer than potentiometer modules. The insides of potentiometer modules are constantly rubbing against each other, causing friction. This friction causes the potentiometer stick module to wear down. Hall effect modules use magnets. The magnets don't touch anything, so friction doesn't wear down the analog sticks because there is no friction, and the magnets won't wear down like you say. Everything will break down on a controller with hall effect modules before those hall effect modules develop stick drift unless you spill something into the hall effect modules. But with normal wear and tear, everything on said controller will break down before those hall effect modules. Now, for story based games or racing games, membrane triggers are better. But for fps games, 90 percent of people will agree that mechanical, mouse click, digital, or tactile triggers (they're all the same thing) are better. All ps1 through ps5 controllers that came with the playstations and were sold by Sony, as well as original xbox all the way through xbox series consoles that came with xbox and were sold by Microsoft, all used potentiometer modules and membrane triggers/face buttons. There may have been a few xbox controllers that use mechanical switches in the d pad. You are completely wrong on everything you've said regarding digital, tactile, mouse click, mechanical switches, and hall effect modules, as well as the controller that have come with them. A magnet takes hundreds of years to lose its magnetic strength. Edit: also, there's a difference between digital triggers and triggers that cane on things like the psp. The psp, while it has a click sound on the triggers, still has a rubber membrane, not a mechanical switch. Digital switches are just a fancy word for mechanical switches. That way, people read it and buy it thinking it's high tech.

Mouse click triggers on R2 and L2 are great for FPS games. But they do not work with heptic feed back on regular PS5 games like the Dual Since Edge can. Just depends on what the controller for.
Hal-effect sticks aren't really as good as everyone says Hal-effect sticks lasts a little bit longer than potentiometer based sticks but once the magnets start degrading you run into all the same problems with potentiometer based sticks The same thing happens with Xbox Hal-Effect triggers. They seem to work great at first but after the magnets start degrading you loose full control of the triggers

Neither just add an extreme rate back button kit for $45 and play vital trigger stop which allows u to change trigger distance as well to a stock controller better than any controller I have used
PlayStation made a controller so you can swap out the joysticks when they get stick drift when they literally could’ve just put hall effect joysticks in them. but they wouldn’t make money if you didn’t have to replace the joysticks
Dual sense edge because u can easily fix stick drift and pro controller is really nice for gaming but it doesn't last for 2 months and stick drift is crazy on that thing and u can't fix it because u ether need to pay extra to get that fixed for temporarily or buy a whole new controller and it has stick drift again so yeah I think we know the better option (hope this helped and if it did pls like this comment) dual sense edge costs $200 pro controller costs $300
@@darkfoxy4711 yeah I’m aware. It’s a strange would I live in when 3rd party controllers are starting to make better quality controllers then the actual manufacturers.

Bro must not know that the switch on the edge makes the triggers mouse click, so while the other one has stock mouse click triggers the edge has both options for the triggers

Just picked one up for $200 😮
Same dud
It's only 200 he's probably probably promoting the other one bc he got paid to do so
He lives in Australia so the price is different but he didn't mention it and he's trying to make the edge look like a piece of garbage
@@PunchedScroll94 I honestly love the edge it's tragic the back paddles have a design flaw but everything else on the controller I love
@BuckGammingYT I also love the features that the edge has and I agree with you about the back paddles
Your forgetting the whole replacement thumb sticks for the duel sense way better and cheaper
Replacement thumb sticks makes the edge way better and more cost-effective in the long run. I'd rather replace my analog sticks every couple of a years than buy a whole new controller everytime I get stick drift.
Please just make your own custom controllers from your existing ones. Its actually fun and wayyy cheaper
Imagine swappable hall effect modules that you can buy for £20
The Edge is 200 new at Best Buy now, so unless the modded one dropped price as well, 200 for clicks is not aging well
Bro the amount of ppl including you unable to realise he’s not talking USD prices is insane. He even mentions the shop he got the controller from was an AU (Australia) shop
I paid 240 euros for mine, roughly the same amount you would pay for a scuff with similar accessories for it. I'm personally very satisfied, I hope it will last, we'll see 🤷♂️
Bro thought he was cooking
Playstation: “Buy this controller, you can get stick modules for only $20!!!”
eBay scalpers: “Are you sure about that?”
How did bro get the 30th anniversary controller
It going out on thursday
Except so many of these high priced aftermarket pro controllers don’t last that long and the quality says it all.
You just convinced me to buy the dual sense edge
Neither just add an extreme rate back button kit for $45 and play vital trigger stop which allows u to change trigger distance as well to a stock controller better than any controller I have used
People in these comments thinking the United States Dollar is the only currency on the planet 🤣🤣
It’s Australian prices I think cause it is 339 for me as well
PlayStation made a controller so you can swap out the joysticks when they get stick drift when they literally could’ve just put hall effect joysticks in them. but they wouldn’t make money if you didn’t have to replace the joysticks
I should definitely get "THIS ONE"
Dual sense edge because u can easily fix stick drift and pro controller is really nice for gaming but it doesn't last for 2 months and stick drift is crazy on that thing and u can't fix it because u ether need to pay extra to get that fixed for temporarily or buy a whole new controller and it has stick drift again so yeah I think we know the better option (hope this helped and if it did pls like this comment) dual sense edge costs $200 pro controller costs $300
Software on the edge is crazy good
For anyone wondering, I remade the controller to the best of my ability, as close as possible to this, and it was about 330 bucks, so he wasn’t lying…
it’s aud money
No. Not until Sony comes out with different colors for it or at least a limited edition version like with the Spider-Man dual-sense controller.
Bro what are these prices I got my dualsense edge for $200
I’ll buy one once they fix the battery life ,do away with the stupid case ,and the braided cable just sell the controller at a fair price.
I have problems with stick drift so i’ll go for the edge
Fucking $300 for a controller Jesus. Yet a PS2 controller still works like new and doesn’t require the occasional stick replacement.
Made with different stick technology that isn’t used by modern day controllers
@@darkfoxy4711 yeah I’m aware. It’s a strange would I live in when 3rd party controllers are starting to make better quality controllers then the actual manufacturers.
@darkfoxy4711 it's the same tech they're potentiometer based sticks
The only difference is the older controllers used higher quality materials
I got the edge after my last controller got stuck drift in 7 months
But the edge also eventually gets stick drift problems, but you can then replace the entire stick module yourself in a relatively simple way, which for me is an absolute benefit. Anyway have fun!
@@--PaZuZu-- that’s the plan all I play is cod and it’s horrible on controller in my opinion
Ps5 pro is 179 here , where did you see that price
He lives in Australia
It’s AUD not USD
New controller or.. a brand new console, a VR headset.or even just food for a few months
Bro must not know that the switch on the edge makes the triggers mouse click, so while the other one has stock mouse click triggers the edge has both options for the triggers
I got a scuff Xbox controller with paddles and whatever cost me like 200-300$ and had it for a while and now I have helllaaaaa stick drift and don’t know how to fix it
I have the edge and I paid 225 euros🎮
Where to buy the pro controller
Americans have less of a pain in the ass getting scuffs and other controllers fixed as the duel edge you just use your warranty or if easy replace sticks you get better value with the edge in Australia as youse have to send a scuff back over seas or get it fixed by a controller mob on Australia
I love my Dual Sense Edge 💙🎮
I’ve never encountered stick drift on ps5 controllers
Lets be honest stick drift isnt the only issue with dualsense
Price tho ?
The ds edge has multiple thumb stick options? Did you buy the controller and throw everything it came with in the dumpster? Lol
I’ll stick with the thumb stick removing replacement one a.k.a. the edge thank you
The dualsense is 200 tops, i got mine on stock x for 150. 400 is insane
That’s AUD not USD
@@KiriKatwatch the video again he clearly said "dollars"
@@pablinkz yes…Australia uses dollars. Are you stupid?
300-400 on a controller?! I hope I can hear the cat's meow better while playing stray
That’s AUD, it’s $200 USD
I'll stick with my dualsense. Had bad experience with scuf and the dualshock 4.
