Oh very nice. I never realised the heads were separate. Honestly it's the reason I never got them. They are lovely sculpts. Might consider them for some variety or a special unit in the future. Thanks for this review 👍 I've since gone with a mix of Warlord Games Landsknechts, Wargames Atlantic Conquistadors and Perry mounted men at arms and foot knights. I have to say I'm delighted with them all and pleasantly surprised by how well they go together and look so close to the aesthetic of the originals. Also the price is amazing compared to GW. Even with buying all those separate kits it still comes to far less than it would have to buy the same amount at GW prices.
Hi I think I chose 28mm for these, but I’m not sure with the larger base sizes now which I would choose to be in line with the old Empire kits. Good question!
Is resin minis safe? They’re not toxic or potentially harmful? I have recently got my boys into wargaming but they young (6 &7) - but I don’t want them playing with anything potentially toxic? Because some of the most detailed minis are Resin… and the Highland Minatures range looks great!
That’s a great question! In the limited research I’ve done on it, I’ve only learned that inhaling the resin dust that would come from sanding or shaving down the resin pieces are harmful and that they may be bad for your respiratory system. Of course you shouldn’t be ingesting the stuff but I think that just painting and playing with them as you normally would has no bad effects. Of course, I’m no authority and it has been years since I’ve looked up harmful effects of Forgeworld resin, so I would suggest looking up sources who would actually test out and see if it’s harmful. Thanks for the question, and I hope if your boys get into the hobby they have many years of enjoyment!
When the resin is correctly cured and painted is should not be toxic anymore. But as mentioned the dust from sanding or cutting is very toxic so you should always wear a mask.

Yeah! I’ve seen some great things on the Landsknechts and the Perry knights! And you can’t beat the prices! Thanks for the comment!
Love Highlands Miniatures stuff
Highlands and Lost Kingdom are my favorite!
@@WarbossTae yeah I also bought into Lost Kingdom's Patreon for a long while, they do great stuff.
Wow they sure look like some other company soldiers a lot
Total coincidence! Absolutely unplanned!
Just like the other companies soldiers are based on historical soldiers…
Nothing new under the sun!
@@WarbossTae Highlands empire is so good! Printed a ton of the first range, but didnt get to print the new ones yet.
They’re great, but I’m really into Lost Kingdom, as well! Their skeleton buccaneer minis are WOOOOOOOOOO!!!
Did you print these at 28mm or 32mm? I am curious if 28mm is the better scale for Highland miniatures when playing The Old World?
Hi I think I chose 28mm for these, but I’m not sure with the larger base sizes now which I would choose to be in line with the old Empire kits. Good question!
I printed an entire army at 32mm, and it looks great. I am not mixing with plastic GW models though. I suspect 91% would be better for that.
