    Wow! I love everything about it. I’ve tried it at least 5-6 times now and there is always something about it that is messed up. Started to get frustrated then remembered this is something I want to enjoy and learn and failures are very welcome. It helped a lot that u shared that it took you some time as well to be so good at it! Thank u for this helpful tutorial and your beautiful energy

    This has to be the most clear tutorial I have found so far. I have been looking at other tutorials and thinking I would never be good enough to even try. Thank you 🙏

    I like that you're explaining why you do things and how you do it because everything with knots is important.

      I'm a visual learner and I also love to listen to the explanation. I know it makes a huge difference. I try so hard to put in to terms every knotter will understand. I'm so happy you find it helpful!

    This is exactly what I wanted to know and see... Beginning is a little bit easy but the end of wraping is such a big problem for me.. Now it is obvious. Thank you!

    Thank you for the video! You explain it perfect. I will have to slow down the video, because I am a beginner :) Macrame is harder than I thought!

      I'm glad my video can help you! I know for future reference I should slow my knotting down, I honestly didn't realize how fast I am! Once you get the hang of the few basic knots, macrame is easy peas, it's just the learning curve. Let me know if I can help you any more :)

    • @earthsoul9454
      @earthsoul9454 7 лет назад

      I used to think it was really hard too Susan, I'm still learning but noticing it definitely gets easier as you learn some of the basic knots and practice. 2 months ago I tried wrapping cabs and gave up, too fiddly and too hard!!!! Today I started trying again and doing much better. All the best!!! :)

    I do like that you explain what you're doing, that's great, however I would have liked the camera positioned so we could see what you are doing with the stone and pins at the beginning. But yes the dialogue is great and the visual of the string and knitting is great also.

    I learned this method a few months back and I'm now seeing that if I try (not even too hard), I can slip the stone out of the wrap. I feel like I can't tie anything tighter and I'm stumped on what could possibly be creating this problem for me. If you have any input I'm all ears :)

    Loved this tutorial, thank you! Would you(or anyone) happen to know how I would make the attachment so it can be made into a pendant ? The loop bit if that makes sense 😅!? I can't find that part anywhere 😣

    • @earthsoul9454
      @earthsoul9454 7 лет назад

      I know its not a wrapped cabachon in the video but I learned from this video how to make the bale (loop) and adapted it to the end of my cab :)

    is there any way to macrame a loop for a necklace? please let me know ! thanks !

    • @rhicrystallized4397
      @rhicrystallized4397  8 лет назад

      There is a few ways to go about making a loop! In this tutorial I cut off all the cords so I can attach cords at my leisure. So here what I would do is add 4-6 cords to the top of the cabochon wrap and continue on with the necklace loop. :)

    Thanks so much for this video!! don't you burn the threads?

    • @rhicrystallized4397
      @rhicrystallized4397  8 лет назад

      You're welcome! Yes, at the very end after I tuck the threads in to the back of the stone, after I tie them all together. I burn the very edges of the frays. :)

    • @NovellaCicconeGdscreazioni
      @NovellaCicconeGdscreazioni 8 лет назад

      Do you burn only 4 thread on the back of the stone? don't you burn the two threads that you/they remain on the before of the stone?

    • @rhicrystallized4397
      @rhicrystallized4397  8 лет назад

      You see on the back, after you pull the two cords through the back? I burn the frayed edges off of those once I cut them off. so it would be the three cords hanging upwards. Do you see what I mean? it's a little hard to explain. Let me know if you need more clarification!

    How do you figure out the length of string you need to use? :))

    • @rhicrystallized4397
      @rhicrystallized4397  8 лет назад +1

      For this tutorial, I only cut my two holding cords a little longer than the diameter of the stone. The working cord is about one and a half times my one arm span. For this kind of wrap, you only need just enough cord to knot and secure the wrap since you'll be cutting the excess off :)

  • @berthamellinger3129

    This is awesome but it's wayyyyy to fast for me. I'm trying to catch up with you and see which cord you're pulling. Do you have a slower pace version. You're great by the way!
