Late 70s P Basses are HEAVY but they do sound good. I have a 78 P Bass and it is a boat anchor but it sounds soooo good. Thank you for doing a bass today:)
They’re definitely cool. Although a used one that’s 20 years old and modded with 70s style pickups will probably be excellent as well and probably not that expensive
I'm sorry mark your wrong,being a Gibson guy I could understand that,the pick up covers where originally put on one to house the mute and two, to avoid the pickups from picking up outside noise,like amps lights etc, plug it in and turn the radio on,then take the covers off,you'll hear the radio coming thru your amp
