guess why Tarrens use rune magic even though they dont like arcane like the mages is Rune magic is dependent on the ley lines and the ley lines are part of the planet and nature

You put so much work into your videos, I love looking at my homepage and seeing your videos, they're so in depth and they are never super duper long like a ton of other lore youtubers, which is nice cause I can watch them real quick before my parents yell at me to "Get off that dang smartphone!". I also love how you actually respond to comments, unlike most youtubers. I can't wait to see you channel grow, and I know it will cause these videos are awesome.
Thank you for this video. I RP my mage as a specialist of runes, he's been studying the subject since a few years. I got a good global idea of rune magic but now I can be even more precise.

I've always been kind of interested in runes though never knew it actually had things to do with lay lines
I've only found out about them a year ago or so it's a really complex matter to research on your own to understand it fully.

***** As much as I try to not jump on the hype or the trending stuff, I still need to keep the things in track with the youtube algorithm. Because I'm not sure if 30 minute videos would work well since it would take 3 times the effort and might even do worse. I could possibly do a Q&A just talking about the lore later on, but not much I can do on the lore lesson part.
The runes used by Ner'zhul are a corrupted version of the runes used in the ancinet magic of the titans, used to distroy instead of create, against the original purpose those are created for he "bended the rules" to use those powers as powerful as they are for his own. this version might be easier to learn and be casted, a reason why a death knight or a powerful necromancer could learn those and use in the time of need. just my take on it :)

Have you done a video on Resurrection? I never understood why certain deaths where permanent when there are things like the Altar of Storms or the Light
+Beelzebub Jenkins Most deaths are real, they just implement game mechanics. Only things like the Emerald Dream and the Twisting Nether is where character don't really die.

+Beelzebub Jenkins One of the few actual resurrection performed in Lore was done by Uther the Lightbringer, at the moment though i can't seem to call to mind who and when this happened.
That's...not actually true. The spirit guides are a faction of Valkyr whose job it is to find worthy souls for Odyn and given numerous people the ability to resurect themselves. It was in the earlier WC rts' games too, though not the odyn part. This was expanded upon in the Warcraft Chronicle if you wanna go read it.
The thing with the Light and Necromancy and the Valkyr and why you can resurect certain people but not others, if you have to get the soul before it moves on. That's a large part of why Lich King Ner'Zul created the Plague, so that he could have magic trapping the souls of the dead in order to animate his troops and not have to spend mana just to keep them active.
This is particularly dangerous because the Naru's evil cousins, the Void and the Fel, EAT SOULS so if youre in an area where there are users of either the chances of a resurrection are even worse than if you were in a place where there's nobody with the resurrection ability.

I made a DotA hero suggestion about a Tauren Runemaster based on Samwise's art back in the day! Such a cool archetype.

I could implement something as in 2 videos. For example 1 like this covering Ulduar and then a long one covering the questline in Storm Peaks.
The way I see it, the longer the better mate. Could you however post sources in the description, or end video?
You forgot to mention the main difference between Rune Magic and Arcane Magic. From my understanding the main difference is that it is less risky, addicting and corrupting which is probably why the Tauren don't want to practice Arcane Magic. This is probably because the magic is instead channeled through the rune patterns instead of through the caster's body. At least that's my understanding of it.
You at least got it right that anyone can use it. It's much like anyone can use a gun but it still takes training to use properly but not everyone can be a master at martial arts.
I would love to see a class added that revolves around using rune magic, I think it would add some interesting gameplay.
longer videos would be nice it actually lets you describe things the way you want to. and doesn't make you rush or skip details :D

Could you narrate about some of the smaller characters in Azeroth? like one zone wonders is what i like to call them, or do you have any suggestions of good zones cause i haven't done anything in the Old zones since Vanila. cheers

Thanks. Well not exactly certain, could do something like that but in many cases those characters don't have that much lore so it's not really "video worthy."

I'm pretty sure I covered it at some point in my Q&A series. But I'm guessing they are just rebuilding the plaguelands now.

May be that forces of the Maligos started to manually transfer some Northrend lines to the Nexus for insane plans of their leader. They had some sort of magic gateways in the questline.
Furthermore doron ive really been enjoying your content lately and i was wondering if you will do/have done any content about what we know about each planet in the warcraft universe. I only know 4 Azeroth, Draenor, Argus, and the Hell Horse Planet were warlocks get their mounts and perhaps you could include the planet in which the legion came from before they stopped by Argus. Thanks again doron.
Oh and of course the ethereals planets before they packed up and went to the twisting nether.

Doron, you may want to mention somewhere in the start of the video--even if it's more or less just an annotation, that Rune Magic is RPG-only, and not technically "canon".
Big part of the explanation is in the rpg books which tend to be not canon, but most of this stuff is actually canon. Because they are used by the vrykul and the ley lines also exist on both Draenor and Azeroth. Also runemasters technically exist they might not be fully canon to the word, but blizzard actually wanted to get them as a playable class that was going to be something between a monk and a rogue, but instead they made a death knight. Technically they still exist.
I have a question.
The Naaru look like if they were a rune, are they somehow connected to rune magic?
Not really, the don't know how they came to exist, but they are all over the universe and are the pure beings of Light.

I don't know too much about Elder scrolls lore, i'm still learning a lot, but it's quite interesting and similar to warcraft in a way, which is a good thing.

Hey Doron do you think its possible that blizzard could make runemastering/runescaping (whatever you wish too call it) a actual profession? Or do you think they could just shoehorn it into inscription in the next xpac. And if it would be its own profession what would make it amazing?
They actually wanted to make a runemaster a class similar to a rogue or a monk, but instead went with the death knight. Not really certain on the professions because we already have inscription and enchanting so it wouldn't be too far apart from what you could do in game with it.
Could you maybe do like a top 5/10 for lore items that are obtainable/have been obtainable for players? examples like Warglaives, corrupted ashbringer and such.
Not sure if I still want to do top 5s. It's fun to do but I don't want everyone thinking this is a click bait channel.
I don't think making a top 5 video every now and then will hurt the reputation of your channel due to all the regular high class content you put out otherwise. You deserve doing videos you find amusing!

I'm not really certain on it, I started doing them a bit after Danger dolan, but now everyone is doing it and it's getting a bit too saturated, so I don't want to be just another list channel. I want to focus a bit more on lore from now and hopefully redo my terrible first lore lessons with 5 pictures in the entire video and also cover a lot more topics so that people will be able to use my channel as almost a wiki. :D
Doronsmovies it goes with the trendy, some channels were doing a lot of videos about how WoD suck and it was getting kinda boring, but "Top something" videos can be good if they are original like BigMatty is doing.
Has anyone ever tried infusing these runes with fel magic? Would the affect be any different?

Rpg is noncanon so wouldn't most of this be uncorrect?
Death Knight runes aren't specific? So...any jo shmoe warrior off the streets of stormwind could learn how to use this runic power and become a death knight? Even without dieing? Or am I thinking about this all wrong?
+aml0797 Runic power is simply what fuels a Death Knight, like how Mana fuels other spell casters. Being a death knight is something far more complex, and not something any joe shmoe off the street could mimic.
Please keep in mind the the RPG-Books and the RPG in general is *not* canon. At most you can use it for speculation or padding in areas that do not have official canon definitions yet. Anything taken form the RPG is subject to change.

Hey dorons what are these colossuses like grom'gal(you know this gigant skeleton in frostfire ridge)?
There isn't too much about them, they are just one of the Draenor giants that dont' really exist right now. The thunderlords killed that giant I guess, from the skeleton it looks like a big gronn and then just made a camp out of it.
They more Look like gigant ogres.Hopefully we will get more info on them in the next patch =)

I guess it is a rune, but I don't think it's the traditional azeroth one, but one related to demon magic.
