I got the same replacement battery from iFixit but it doesn’t fit , the connector is further than the socket. There is also thickness at the bottom of each cell and it’s taking a lot of space. Any help.
this vid is a no go. use a syringe with a small long needle. suck alcohol into it. tilt the laptop up on the non battery side and rest it on something. put the needle in above the end battery and fill the underside with alcohol. then use the floss. comes right off. once the end one is out of the way, us the syringe the same way on the next one but no more floss. The first battery is out of the way so come at it from side with something really thin and flat like a thin putty knife. then the next.. from the side not the top. I can replace this battery in 5 minutes easy. including cleaning up the old double stick.
Hey guys, any idea if mac retina a1502 is supposed to boot when battery is unplugged form logic board? I have a swollen battery, but trying to diagnose if logic board is also broken since it doesn't boot even after I unplug battery.
swollen battery, sounds like a manufacturing flaw, in the EU its likely that Apple will replace it for free, are you getting any lights on the magsafe connector? if not sounds like it might be logic board, if you are and it won't turn on then it might be keyboard connector.
seems like either the smc or logic board, the MacBook pro retina should have fan spin even with no battery connection as long as it's plugged in. Need to replace my MacBook pro retina battery soon but already replaced my MacBook air battery, MacBook air worked with no battery. I'm holding off on the MacBook pro retina battery replacement as it still works on battery as long as I don't put too much load, my computer will shut down by itself when rendering a video with about 35 percent battery.
I did the replacement myself in less than 15min using nylon string dipped in isopropyl alcohol without having to heat the battery.
I used floss . didnt heat it up.i think its more about how much patience one has. thanks for the video.

How many patients does it require?
I would have loved to see the entire thing beginning to end
