I raced Supers for years with Spedeworth, never really took any notice of the bangers, on any level. BUT this looked absolutely insane, the preparation level on these cars nowadays is just mind blowing, what a great attendance as well, a fully packed Foxhall, I don't think ANY formula would manage a crowd like that. What a great finish to the WF. Hats off to all those who took part and Spedeworth for doing what they do best
Even the good old times with the Speedweekend for the Hot-Rod World Championship can't top this event. Bangerracing is the most spectaculare and spectators bringing formular in Short Oval Racing! Thank god and Spedeworth for making this meetings that big and unforgotten! Super big respect to all drivers, mechanics and all the people who are involved to make it possible!
Must be m8 eh as in 1998 a certain Mr Steve swan said usual uncle Henry domination plenty mk 2s but only 4 o the noo rare mk 1 variety yet ,yet fast forward the to arena Essex 2013 sumink like approx 200ish Granada's with approx 40 or so MK1 s and Rest o them mk2s oh well cheers m8
I'm always wondering how so many junk Jaguars are apparently available to race them. How do you get them? Is it really just a matter of cost to keep them running?
