Whew, I'm close to mid-60s and sometimes I get embarrassed myself why I get so emotional listening to this creature who just make you cry from conveying through her music all that emotion, and just smile or worse laugh afterwards as if there's nothing to it! Morissette is my favourite vocalist of all times. Not only her great range and technique, her most pleasant, warm and full tone, but her ability convey emotions are unreached. I feel like she sings right to my heart and soul, I feel it deeply. There are so many songs I would never listen to, but when Morissette sings them they become top hits for me. Amazing is a much too weak word to describe her.

Her new film was released on Christmas day 2023 called SONG OF THE FIREFLIES in which she plays the part of a choir teacher to a bunch of school kids, i cant wait to see it, she started filming before the pandemic broke out but only finished in the summer of last year 🇬🇧🔥👌❤️.

I wasn't into vocals like this until Morissette came. I'd just haven't heard any artists like Mori before! Most people would compare her to other artists that influenced her. Yeah, true but she ran away with it. She has developed her own brand like the vocal squeak, the perfect tone, the key changes and those ungodly high note belt outs and ohh those larynx killer 14 second whistle notes. The way she conveys emotion to any song she sings is unparalleled. Btw, how can one sing 3 languages in one song perfectly (Resignation - Korean, Tagalog & English) live? I can't memorize one Korean line if my life depended on it. She did it in 2 weeks. Also, Tagalog is not her first language. She's simply one of a kind in my humble opinion.

These two guitar greats met one night at an Allman Bros. concert in Florida and instantly bonded staying up all night after the concert playing and talking about music. Back to the phone call. Duane said to Eric, "you know I've just about got this guitar thing figured out. I don't have to look at the neck while I'm playing. I just think of the notes I want to play and my fingers just go there." Back again, when you were talking about the parts of Mori's voice that makes her a head higher than a lot of the singers out there, the likes of Ariane or Christina is her clear head voice over the others, you said piercing which can be painful like it is by some singer's like the two above, Mori's head voice tone is just so perfect, like everything else, I know CD is now old school but I would love to have a CD and a DVD with these performances, because I love watching Mori perform with no big gestures like the rest, and not wearing something inappropriate on stage like all the rest, Jessie J and Ariane and many more, it puts me off. 😊

In my opinion, it cannot be in Morissette's interest to work as an employee of a musical theater with 8 shows a week! She is a producer (also for other artists) and co-owner of a clearly successful music label! She also appears as an independent artist at festivals, shows and her own concerts! In the long run, this is probably the better way to be successful in business! I believe she will be one of the figureheads of the OPM in the Philippines in the next 10 years!

Back again, when you were talking about the parts of Mori's voice that makes her a head higher than a lot of the singers out there, the likes of Ariane or Christina is her clear head voice over the others, you said piercing which can be painful like it is by some singer's like the two above, Mori's head voice tone is just so perfect, like everything else, I know CD is now old school but I would love to have a CD and a DVD with these performances, because I love watching Mori perform with no big gestures like the rest, and not wearing something inappropriate on stage like all the rest, Jessie J and Ariane and many more, it puts me off. 😊
When Mori sings it seems she allows her to just go and get carried away, and although it's most likely a calculated risk, makes it look like it isn't. That's both skill and her personality shining through..

In my opinion, it cannot be in Morissette's interest to work as an employee of a musical theater with 8 shows a week! She is a producer (also for other artists) and co-owner of a clearly successful music label! She also appears as an independent artist at festivals, shows and her own concerts! In the long run, this is probably the better way to be successful in business! I believe she will be one of the figureheads of the OPM in the Philippines in the next 10 years!

Now that you guys have a sense of what she is capable of and how incredible she was in these performances from some years ago, perhaps its time to move on to some originals from Mori. Her ‘Signature’ EP, released in 2021, contains 5 tracks that were all written by her and her fiance Dave Lamar. Its so good that you just cant choose a favourite track. You can do a reaction to all 5 songs from the EP at one go, and do go for the ‘live’ versions instead of the recorded ones. Keep up the good work Richard and Johnny!

Richard and Johnny, this will definitely go into one of my most favorite reaction videos to Morissette. 🥰👍👍 This is the first time I've watched a reaction video covering her whole Stages Sessions QuaranThemes performances of six Broadway classics (others do only one song at a time). It does not matter to me that it's almost a two-hour watch because I enjoyed every minute of it, watching how both of you are amazed, impressed, moved, and "Mori-fied" 🥰, everytime you feel the goosebumps, I also feel the goosebumps, you tear up, I also tear up with you, like we are all in this together, the two of you and the thousands viewing this, witnessing greatness before our eyes and ears. And of course, watching Mori, whose complete name is Johanne Morissette (yes, her dad named her after two music greats) sing and perform these Broadway songs with so much eloquence, power, resonance, and grace, she is captivating and breathtaking (yes, we hold our breaths during those belting in order not to miss a single moment). 🥰
So, you are now having the impression that all Filipinos can sing? Well, not really. The majority of Filipinos like to sing, but not everybody can really sing. Still, there are really a lot of good Filipino singers, but there are only a handful who stand out, the so-called "cream of the crop", and Morissette is definitely among these "elite" group, which the Philippines can be proud of in the international scene.
We are grateful to reactors like you who feature our Filipino talents and give them a wider exposure to a greater part of the world, so that many more people will be aware of and get to know what the Philippines has to offer in the global music industry.
