    Thank you for cleaning the sides. So many don't and it's part of the stone. You are so thorough. Thank you again.

    Al I can say is thank you. They lived and they died. No matter who they were or what they did, their lives deserve to be remembered. Sometimes the only memory is a piece of stone if there are no descendants or if they no longer live nearby. Thank you for caring for the markers of life. It matters. And you are appreciated.

    Where did you get that long brush/squeegee tool? I definitely need on of those for granite markers!

    • @Headstoneman
      @Headstoneman  2 года назад +1

      I picked that up at Menards… it is called an “acid brush” made by Libman and has a built in scraper on it. Costs about $10. And it’s Tampico fiber.

  • @kellydiver
    @kellydiver 2 года назад

    Great job! I’m curious about your process on the granite stones. Do you scrub with soap first and then finish up with the D/2?

    • @Headstoneman
      @Headstoneman  2 года назад +2

      Yup! If they are really nasty I will soak them down a couple times to soften stuff up…. Granite tends to come clean pretty easy if you wet it down and put some elbow grease into it…. Not recommended for marble though

    Queston: I notice you usually clean the base too. Did these not have any bases?

    • @Headstoneman
      @Headstoneman  2 года назад +1

      Some of them didn’t… but the ones that did were so sunken and covered in dirt, and I wasn’t raising them…. So I left them covered.

    • @Headstoneman

    i would like to help that, 100 miles not much so a fund that would pay two days motel & 3 days food and gas for up to 600 miles each way would allow PP to do this at a cemetery that one or more viewers would like but are too far for hiring normal rates.

      there's two paths here...
      either Patreon model where we all kick in a bit monthly to extend his reach end credits acknowledgment
      and the "fundMe" model (indigogo etc) where a trip is plotted out and generous budget becomes the goal. people within 25-50 miles of the scheduled trip might want to pay $200-$300 to add "Grandma & Grandpa Wonderful's" memorial to the trip. (i suggest that family of "G-ma & G-pa Wonderful" also required submit pix that assist finding the spot, some cemeteries are HUGE and looking for 3 hours isn't productive)
      but not going to happen if there's no interest
