I really like how it shows Jim Kurring in his patrol car talking about how he wants to do well and do good in this world and wants to help people and then cuts to him having to handle a very difficult woman who is lying to him and there is a dead body in the closet.... great writing, this movie is fantastic cinema
It sucks that we never find out who the guy in the closet is, or who "the Worm" is. There were some additional scenes in this storyline, but they were cut from the film. Still a wonderful scene,
Malvavisco Definitely the guy represents a drug gone wrong. He could have even shot up there andcthats how he died. The Worm is the rapping kids brother who came in while he was watching TV. The kid didn't want to nark on his brother right out and direct. so he rapped it. Hoping the cop was smarter than he is.
Yes I wish all that wasn’t cut. I saw some cut scene where the father/the worm and his son are at a diner and the kid pulls the cops gun out on him. seemed pretty awesome, too bad it was cut.

Terrence LaMont Bellows - Actually, the worm was the kid’s father, not brother. We never see his face, but he was played by Orlando Jones.
