There's a liquid called Goo Gone that you can use to clean the hoop. I got it from Amazon and it takes that glue off fast. That hoop looks disgusting specifically when you are placing a garment on it and recording a video. Clean it up.

I use panty hose for the strap, its super soft an comes in different colors.

You could use staples to hold the hat closed and then put a ribbon over them to hide them.
