@@patrickyoung7685 Patrick its important, the weight and material, but most of the times. I would say 95% of the times you don't have to worry about it. If i were you i would look up - how to measure a torsion spring - find a way to get some stock of the torsion springs. (It will require some money. But keep in mind its one of the most common repairs.) Once you can measure a spring and you have a variety of springs. Just replace the broken spring with a new spring of the same size.

I first &eard about it from a millionaire friend of mine who used to do garage door repair and installation as he was on his way to six figures. He ultimately chose appliance repair over garage doors because in the winter it snows where he lives and he doesn't like cold weather. But he would always tell me I could surely become a millionaire in garage door repair. Thanks for sharing and I plan on following your advice with the torsion springs!
