Hi! I am very new in Star CCM+ and I am developing a simulation of discrete element particles to generate a packed bed in a tubular geometry. I would like to know how data is imported from a table in Star Ccm + that contains the positions of the discrete particles in a new geometry (in my case the particles are spherical). I have already done the DEM simulation and I already have the table (XYZ Table) with the positions of the particles, but I do not know how to integrate them into a new simulation (a new cad model: cylinder + particles). I understand that it can be done by Java Macros, however I am really a beginner at Star Ccm +. Greetings.
Hi. Thanks for this tutorial. I wonder if you have any tutorials coupled CFD with DEM? Thanks
