- This video shows the making and testing of a1,5m wooden steam boat built from scratch.
She weighs about 15Kg. She is fitted with a Stuart Tuner double D10 twin steam engine.
The boiler, gas tank, condenser , fittings, steam pipe... are from Regner Dampftechnik.
The pictures and videos are taken just by an ordinary mobile phone, so excuse the Quality and the shaking of the videos.
One hand for the radio control, one for the camera.
It took me over a year to build the boat. The last videos are from the 30th of Dec. 2018.
Hope you enjoyed!

No one can steal the show from this beautiful masterpiece!
Beautiful work, thanks for sharing.
I love how that actually has been build like a real boat. Though I guess the maschine can drive a bigger propeller than is currently does.
yes it can, it is very powerfull
Bonjour. Un sacré savoir faire 👍🏻👍🏻magnifique superbe BRAVO 🇫🇷👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
You made a beautiful job of that. Building a D10 at the moment .. plenty of inspiration here for what to put it in!
Nice! I've never seen so many cylinder cover bolts in a D10!
what a great build sir.
Very nice planking job. Well done.
Very nice projekt. It's many workhour on that boat 😍🇧🇻
Wow, beautiful craftsmanship there! Absolutely love the build, great job!👍
You need an RF jammer to drop that helicocksucker then turn it off and continue 😂 nice work man!
Great Job!!! AMAZING!!
Great Job! Love steam!
I wish I had one of these, and the music is fine and suitable, very relaxing. Goodonyamate!
WOW I Love it great work
Very nice work!
It looks really good. I might have to make this a future project
You would be great if you were to finish the canvas for the sails...make it even more authentic. Beautiful!!!!!
Nicely done :)
Verry Nice Sir , Enjoy
Wow absolutely awesome
Amazing
Very good craftsmanship, love the result and the combination of three things Iike and find fascinating, RC, Boats and Steam plants :D
Wow that's amazing you get a sub for all the work
An excellent video and high standard of work. I was looking into this layout at the UK Model Engineering Show last week. I like the way you have built the whole plant on a platform that you can lift out and run / develop / tune on the bench away from the boat. You have also built the boat around the plant so no plant compromises have to be made. A gearbox and condenser too! My concern with steam and other boats is that they suffer from 'Scale Effect' when on the water and unless heavily ballasted tend to bob around due to the relative scale of the waves on the water. This is less of an issue with model aircraft. Do you have a view on this? Thanks for posting, and best wishes from England!
Wow such a beatiful steamer!! Congrats!!! Liked and subbed!!
Splendid.
Just found your channel and subscribed. Very nice. Turned out beautiful
No question,,, the boat was built for the engine , , , and not much else.
very good
Very cool this video was very entertaining and currently I am building a boat yours give me some idea I like this look
What a sweet, sweet video and rig! May I ask what that first track is? Love it.
All best, pal. Great, great work.
Its a nice boat bet you could of gone much bigger and still chugged along with no problem.
Noicely done
Good
Interesting, but I had to turn that noise off.
this would look cool with a deck cutout for the steam pipe exhaust thingy
Outstanding boat! Live steam!! Unfortunately music is for when there are no other model sounds in the scene, or there's too much wind and no sock, or the entire sound track failed. To know there's perfectly good audio 99% covered over by steel drum, is just sad.
Bonjour,
Very nice boat, but a little much to huge for my flat :+) Interesting and various video, the helicopter likes risks !
Besides this, how do you grease generously the cylinders after a navigation to protect them from rust ? On mine, I have installed plugs on their heads.
Amicalement, Raphaël
If you use steam oil which is soluble there will be a film of oil left in the cylinders
If some stupid worldleaders had a hobby like this, we could have a bright future. Thank you for a beautiful video.
Wow.....
Hello, beautiful building. I am starting to build a 1.30 meter boat. I like the reverse gear assembly, can you have the design to make it the same? Thanks and congratulations
0:57 wow!
I dont know how i ended up here. No regrets
Or ,are this available in the market
Hi PLEASE MAKE A NEW VIDEO with the finished boot.
😇😇😇😇😇
Could we make a life sized version of this
Very nice, but, I don't do boats or yachts, too much money wasted, never ends...
Im too high i couldnt figure out at first what was scaled model and what wasnt and then realized its all scale model, legit thought the heli was real lmao
please send the line plans of this boat
A beautiful model and engine, it was a shame to have metal masts instead of wooden ones.
The mast stands between the gasburners and therfore too hot for a vanished wooden spar!
What fuels it? I know steam, but what creates the steam (the initial fuel)?
it has a gasburner
What wood did you use to make the hull?
Pinestips
@@sailingjosefine can we use balsa strips
so i suppose that the "wood" cylinder is the boiler, so what is the red cylinder?? a condenser?? i don't really now
Yes, it is a condenser
May i know the materials needed for this sir! Specially for the stem engine
i thought it was big
Dump the music next time, would rather hear the engine running not elevator music. A voice over would be nice also
Only dump music for the running part imo
Some scale model Bofors AA will take care of that ugly helicopter.
Speed with Stuart Double Ten and big Regner Boiler is really dissapointing.
Please cut the music. It's not why we're here. We want hear the engine only
Why is the klanky fukin music so loud,,, ??
The music sucks as it is not the right music for the podcast
It's not a podcast you spinach leaf
I think that most people do not like this music on a video. It's not even in the background. It's blasting out in our faces. Nice boat, but had to dislike the video. You can do better next time.
Then mute the video
