UPDATE: The DLC, Called the 'Chop Shop', is now out! The Karin vehicle ended up being an updated Asterope based entirely off of the Toyota Camry, no JZX-series inspiration as I originally predicted. Also, it does not look like we'll be getting an HSW upgrade for the Zentorno which is kinda disappointing. I really hope we get a s15, you can't put drifting in without a drifting king.
That would be an amazing addition, possibly a newer version of the Remus or something similar. Since the update is going to bring back a character from GTA 4, I hope they bring in some cars from that game as well - an E46-inspired Sentinel would also be an amazing addition as a drift car!
Do you know if it's the tuners that are getting the drift tuning? I have 2 tuners that are drift cars right now that would be perfect for that set up
I feel like rockstar is really trying to make the next newer updates to work for the next gta online. New tuning for cars, going back to the roots of gta being crooks and more. I just want a motogp update since we had a f1 update and that will make handling for bikes better and more bike options
Yeah this definitely is another one of Rockstar's test updates for potential online content in GTA 6. Not sure exactly how many tuning options they'll add, but even then it's still pretty cool. And yeah I totally agree, a proper bike-themed update would be awesome - or maybe another separate racing update that adds both racing bikes and more F1 cars.

Consoles needed drifting for the longest time
Drifting's been accessible to all platforms for a long time now, just takes a bit more time and practice when compared to mods. Hoping that this update lowers the barrier to entry even further!
No amount of content will ever be enough to make me redownload this game

Yeah man, Rockstar's got a major vendetta against PC it seems - not sure why, maybe because they know it's a lost cause due to all the security issues lol
We need to get the s15, miata, e46, nsx, evo 8-9 and a 63 series amg (c63 or gt 63 doesnt matter) as new cars. It looks like only the tuner cars will be drift cars since the jester rr, futo gtx and remus were on the front page, hope thats not the case tho. Nevertheless this might be the best update since the tuners dlc who knows

Rockstar was way late with that being able to move stuff from garage to garage with ease i havent touched gta in months but the last time i did i sorted ever car i had into diffrent garages and that took forever
Yeah man, I was surprised that wasn't a feature they dropped with next-generation consoles back in 2022. I waited on sorting my garages hoping that they would add it one day, and now it's finally paid off!

If they take features away from the public session again just to make us pay for it... I'm erasing my r* account. I have been with them for 5-6yrs now. They will lose my business if they do. I just want to enjoy freemode with those cool features. I don't have the time and money to be dealing with that.

Honestly never thought of that, but it's definitely a possibility. Something I overlooked in this video is that this new Karin could also be AWD - kinda hard to make concrete predictions because the picture of it could be misleading.

Of course man, going to be branching out a bit more with other drifting content in 2024. I recently did a CarX stream and have genuinely loved playing it more and more, so I will definitely have it on the channel soon.

Very happy, both as a long-time player and content creator. Just a bit skeptical though, hoping they don't botch this update like they did with San Andreas Mercenaries...
10 years later and we finally get it LETS go my numerous $60 purchases was worth it.
@@StevieWunderKid i'm pretty sure from what we're seeing there they will just add fivem drift physics.
@@lightstreamX not sure if they'll go that far with it, most FiveM physics are insanely overpowered (and feel like garbage lol) - I think it'll just be a slight bump in power, more angle, and a bit less grip in the rear. But who knows, they could do something way cooler than that, we'll see!
Idk what GTA you’ve been playing but the Drifting prior to this update(I haven’t tested out yet) was damn near terrible lol

The newswire post did mention that RP levels will be increased for certain activities, here's hoping it'll be worth it!
100 car garage for real money only. Rockstar really said being a car guy in gta isn't free.
Buying a 10 year old game for full price wasn't good enough because I don't subscribe or suck microtransactions 🤮
Yeah man, pretty scummy decision on Rockstar's part. It's the exclusivity that's the worst part - if it was accessible by everyone, even for a really high price, I'd be okay with it. But what they ended up choosing just sucks.
I still have about twenty or so spaces left so I probably won't need to buy it, but for those that don't have slots this is so scummy because Rockstar knows people are running out.
Such an odd stance to have against military style dlcs, seeing as what we did is par for the course for gta lol.
Maybe I'm too much of a GTA purist having grown up with the game, but I don't think it's odd at all. San Andreas Mercenaries didn't feel much like a GTA game to me, kind of a similar story to the Doomsday Heist.
Unless they add some form of MANUAL TRANSMISSION.
Drifitng will always be MEDIOCRE.
The cars ALWAYS shift when you dont want them too, losing your wheel spin and drift angle.
