it's the land for me
I had to laugh when you mentioned being out of breath. I live at a high elevation and guests who live down in the valleys of5en take a day or so to adjust!
Edit: if you're going to keep showing these beautiful winter getaways, you should invest in decent snow gear, boots at least. 😊 ( Its May 5th and we justvhad a good 8- 10 inches of snow last night....in California! Lol
That land is my land.
I can't get over how despite the obvious expanse and luxury of the house, the interior design somehow manages to convey an unpretentious and relaxed personal style. So much unique art. So much vintage, mismatched furniture (and area rugs). Really feels like a lived in, well loved space. amazing.
looks like a garage sale needs to be held. they have no taste.
Looks like a mismatch of shite IKEA furniture lol
It feels cold outside the mansion, but it feels warm inside!
The scenery outside the mansion is so beautiful, thank you very much for sharing, well done! 👍🥰🙏
the landscaping is pretty damn good here
@@erikvanconover Yes, it is. Thanks a lot for telling me, you are very nice! 👍😍🙌
I put my self through engineering college working on this ranch every summer from 1978 to 1983. I knew this land like the back of my hand. Its incredible to see what the development has become. We had names for for all of the different pastures and fields on the ranch. I believe we called this the " Wide field". The lake or trout pond was not there ( must be man made), but there were a series of beaver ponds and dams nearby. We mostly grew high quality horse hay on the ranch and boarded up to 50 horses during the summer. The entire Owl creek valley was purchased back in the early 70's from two old time ranchers/homesteaders (Sam Stapleton & Jens Christianson) by a Texas Oil tycoon (Davis?). He had hoped to build a 5th Aspen ski area called Burnt Mountain including all of the extensive base area development. He unsuccessfully fought the county and a number of environmental groups for years for development approval. Ultimately it was carved up into these 60-80 acre parcels, with much of the 1100 acres left in its natural state. The ranch house I lived and worked in has long since been demolished and scraped from the earth.
I've watched your videos for years and I've been seeing other tours of these million dollar houses. I have never until now really realized the gap in lifestyle between the kind of people who live in places like this and the rest of us. That fully stocked grocery thing is so different than how we operate. These guys probably never have to worry about expiry dates, having to choose between brands, restocking when you're running low on something, etc. they probably have a person for that ! I feel great being able to afford anything I want at the grocery store after years of studying and getting promotions, but this is on a whole another level.
Property price: $80,000,000
Down payment: 20% of $80,000,000 = $16,000,000
Loan amount: $80,000,000 - $16,000,000 = $64,000,000
Interest rate: 6.90%
Loan term: 30 years
Monthly mortgage payment: approximately $426,183.19
Therefore, to comfortably afford the property, your yearly income would need to be approximately $17,047,327.56
yearly salary should equal 40x monthly mortgage payment?
Is that all?! Lol, good grief!👍✌️
You've been killing it the last few tours ! really enjoying the locations and the upped production value. I also really appreciate the frequency in with you've been uploading as well.
glad you are enjoying !
Although yes, one must be a billionaire to purchase a home of this exquisite caliber, videos like this give us an opportunity to get design ideas that we can incorporate into our own homes (fixtures, color palettes, furnishings, etc.). In this way, we too get to celebrate our homes and community. Thank you, Erik!
I watch videos like this for design ideas
@@erikvanconover I love the artwork especially.
He brings in lot of value to anything he does. We ❤ this tour.
I try
You are too perfect at this. I guess you don't know how much of value you add to every video you post in here. You make us enter into a new world altogether. May God bless you with the same spirit always🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌

@@brentsyoutube I speak honestly. I get a better perspective of things when some people present it. This has nothing to do personally. We should also learn how to compliment others work. It's just being human. It's as simple as that for me. Hope people learn to take it right.
I love the design of the house. It integrates into the surroundings so well without looking like an upscale lodge. The textures, the colors, the art, the furniture, it's all so thoughtful, tasteful and unique, and it all works with the acreage it sits on
0:04 awesome view- plane and mountains
Such a wonderful place. Thanks for sharing this vid. ❤
My flat here in the UK could holiday in that closet 😂. Stunning landscape and property. I would have to move lots of family in lol. You did an excellent job showing us around.
Your work is always stunning ❤, thank you for the video
Thank you! Cheers!
Spectacular. Its the privacy and land around the home that does it for me. The home is there, but not in an obvious intruding way.
great video! keep up the good work erik.
Thanks!
Crazy how you posted this video today because I’m flying to that exact area tomorrow! 😊
Damn you’re rich 🤑
Sending positivity to your channel keep up the good content
Thank you! You too!
Pitkin county is one of the most serene places I’ve been in my life. I understood the property valuations when you see it in person. It be might just as beautiful in the warmer months than the winter months, too. Even muddier months like April are magical. Truly a privilege to call areas of CO like that home. One of my life’s goals to have a primary home there some day. It would be hard to get me to ever leave.
Awesome place! Reminded me of my grand parents house, not so big or the land around it but more it being big without being cavernous.
especially the kitchen area and surrounding rooms,I can image several families with kids running around there.
A lot of the homes you tour I say “oh yeah, if I had lottery money” but this home is beyond that a just stunning.
Now this is a very, very well designed home and landscape. So well designed and thoroughly thought out - with thee best views and location. I think I know who owns/owned it. Excellent video, Eric. I hope their property manager, helped you shut and lock all the doors and turn off the lights! Great ski house for a large family of winter sports enthusiasts! 😊
oh yeah there is a whole team of property manages behind the camera haha
@@erikvanconover I’d hope there was atleast one! 😅
The elk running around are so cute and majestic!! Yippee! Romp and roam!
one of my favorite houses I have ever seen!
Everything is amazing, especially the views and the land.
The sky really is bigger out there 💖
Hey Erik, love your vids. Quick note, you have an edit mistake @ 5:40 where you repeat yourself. Keep up the good work!
Good criticism here
I really thought I had hit rewind there somehow.
Anyone with heineken in the fridge has NO IDEA about beer
Amazing
Mr E, you are werkin' and we won't forget your humble NYC beginings... tbh ,miss Bubba and your Mom & Step Dad, Dad. YOU INSPIRE!!
It's quite the serene sanctuary, free from the chaotic crowds of urban life. I find immense pleasure in conducting my work from such a peaceful setting. Incorporating a helipad or private airstrip would undoubtedly elevate its allure
That's why I live up north.
The artwork is stunning
oh wow eric conover know Bali!!!! as balinesse love you!!!
Just in time for a fresh cup of matcha 🎉 I feel cozy
That art gallery was cool. With that defused light.
yeah nice design choice
Yep this is the real estate for my family to enjoy while in beautiful Colorado 🙏😇🥰
Beautiful kitchen.
Very cool home. Erik Van-Matt Dillon
One of the coolest houses I’ve ever seen.
The house itself is beautiful. The area is beautiful. My god 😍😭
What stands out is the view from multiple rooms in the mansion.
Nice presentation 👍
Thank you! Cheers!
Missed these videos
We will still be filming high high end + historic homes
@@erikvanconover can’t wait I will be there
How do you not get lost in a place like this? I'd get lost. You should watch Not Enough Nelson's house tour (it's actually a mansion). They have 16 kids, 4 are moved out though. But they have a home theater too. I live in a studio. I got rid of my TV (I couldn't get a signal, (I faced the freeway). But I love my computer. I stream different services. During the situation, my computer saved my life. They thought of literally everything. FAVORITE: the in-home theater.
As expensive as this is, it feels like a lived in house in a stunning landscape with those great picture windows!
landscaping was the true winner in this video
9:46 to 9:53 that picture of Audrey Hepburn reminds me of where my mother says she got my name from her favorite movie growing up was breakfast at Tiffany’s and she said if she had another girl. She would name her Tiffany and that’s why I got my name from so every time I see a portrait of her or painting, it just sends chills up my spine with joy RIP MOMMY 🙏🏿
aw, what a classic film

Hey @erikvanconover
Do you know at timestamp 5:45 the audio is duplicated…when you talk about the ceiling lights ….“with a soft box effect”
Oh my so far the best property on your channel
I think so too!
Impresionante
wow. if i owned that ranch i don't think i would leave it that often, maybe not even for years xD
The art galaxy the painting with the lady in red dress is Henry Assencio
Should've toured during summer/fall with those aspens.
Erik Van Conover pick me up even too...😊
I gots to know what was under that trapdoor!
" I look at this granite basin and I just want to pick it up. It really makes you feel grounded to aspen"
me: Yeah ok, I was thinking the same exact thing
Biggest fan of you erik. You videos inspired me a lot. Much love from Pakistan🇵🇰🙌❤❤❤
thank you brother!!
@@erikvanconover bro i am your biggest fan and thanks for the reply you made my day. I watch you every single video its my dream to live NYC
Damn do you come with the house!! ❤❤❤❤
I love Aspen
So we're just going to ignore the grand piano in the master bedroom? lol. Normally those are in the main foyer or living room.
Sooo peaceful
hope it translated through the video
Also Erik, if you're mostly in the R. F. Valley area and need a photographer/videographer, I can help you with that as well 😉👍
You can tell it’s someone’s home. It’s huge yet warm. Not stoic
If I had to guess I would say 10.000.000, but still beatiful.
I'll give you 10 million!
THIS IS WAY OVER PRICE 😂 A RIDICULOUS AMOUNT OF DOLLARS FOR THIS 60 ACRE MANSION...😢 IT'S ONLY ⭐⭐⭐ IF YOU ASK ME... I WILL NOT EVEN PAY 30 MIL FOR IT.
At 5 foot 6 inches, I’m literally too short for like 40% of the useable cabinet space 😂😢
If i had the money to afford a house like this, I WOULD NOT EVEN CONSIDER BUILDING SOMETHING LIKE THIS. how much does a person need? I can see building a nice big home. 3 to 4 thousand Square feet would still be too large. Id rathet have a very, very, nice comfortable, affordable home that would be easy to maintain. Id use my to buy up property instead if building a show-off home
29:17
The pool area not heated at this price range ? Seems a bit odd no ?
Does the Art come with the house? Part of it looks like an art gallery to me. 🤑😁
i reckon they'd sell it turn key
you needed a aerial shoot at night with the lights on.
I was hoping for more from that fitness room.
It's insane how many $50+ million homes go big in every possible respect and then have a completely pathetic home gym. This house would have been pretty much perfect with a much larger gym.
the fitness room during the spring summer fall is great because you can workout outside
it looks like a modern art museum
i couldn`t even afford the heating bill
lol 😆
Hi 👋 everyone, I’m Jeff, the proud owner of this estate. I bought it because I go to Colorado for about a day in a half a year and needed a place to sleep for a single night. I decided to sell it to save money and would rather pay $100 a night at a motel 6 than let this estate go to waste. Hope you enjoy my estate that I stay at for only one night out of a year.
Man I was just thinking this would be a good place to have for the like one week a year that I'm in Colorado.
I think that I may start living here as well, it suits all my needs and hopefully it's large enough for me to stay hidden from the owners! Aspen here I come! YEE HAW!!!!!
the shower is bigger than my whole bathroom!
it's not just the house, you're getting 60 acres, though how do you keep people from squatting, I'm assuming if someone builds a shed on your land the cops will evict or prevent the shed from being built, but there are lots of hiding places, and these days with squatter friendly laws good luck. Maybe as an investment you can sell it later for more but seems like there aren't a whole lot of customers who can buy this unless you divide it up and sell off parcels maybe as a developer built out single family home plots of .5 to 1 acre each and make a city.
I live up north. I dont care how much money i have. Im installing regular size doors. Those doors are letting in alot of freezing cold and in the wilderness theres BUGS. Try catching them in those ceilings. Spiders also. I have daddy longlegs and barn spiders. With those doors, a few will get in for sure. Its not like california where u have hardly any bugs. Ps. I LOVE the interior design and COLORS with artwork. Ive seen too many homes with too much "wood" in em. This is more my style .
Rich people love skiing
Well until I saw this video I was wanting to live in a van but have upped my expectations a little now lol
I'd pick the van
@@erikvanconover 😅😅😅
Granite sink and the in-law (guest suite), the rest, no thanks. Looks like an old Montgomery Ward furniture gallary. Many houses, way less expensive, waaaay better.
WOAH!
Wait, only 60 acres? Gorgeous home and view but I wouldn’t call it a ranch, particularly in the West. Gentleman’s farm, maybe. Buy a 4 series John Deere with a couple of attachments, drive around a bit.
LOVE MUMMI
What will i do if i wanna buy this
Why would multiple floors mean "not every room has a view of the mountains"?
Who are these owners what do they do, do we even know there existence ??
most a very very private. actually all who are in the Bs
@@erikvanconover what do u mean by Bs ? Business?
@@lenovox1carbon664 Billionaires.
@@lenovox1carbon664 He probably means Billions ( As in anyone who is a billionaire is extremely private)
@@big_goofymac6340 actually i thought most of the billions are known to the world, i am very surprised knowing many are actually private. This is insane any idea what do these Bs do ?
I like that politics and business room
A dream

🤘 😁 🤘
It screams for Arvin Haddad...
Artwork by: Target. Jokes 😂. Nice vid!
Beautiful home, that mustache though…
Definitely overvalued. Should be $30M max
You get 60 acres of ranch land smack dab in the middle of some of the best skiing in the US, complete with a creek and a lake, several outbuildings, and a fully furnished and decorated 15k sq ft main house with custom EVERYTHING and 360 degree views of the surrounding mountain ranges.
This house shits on 99% of the cookie cutter modern luxury homes that you see on these home tour channels - it’s probably the most functional and warm living spaces I’ve seen at this price point. Typically I see a lot of cold and imposing spaces that look more like a museum than a livable home.
Realtor says this house is pending so they must’ve just bought it. I was being nosy to see if I could find the buyer. Not hard to find
public records
NO HEATED FLOOR'S?
"Utilize the view of the mountains..." is that anything like "Enjoy the view of the mountains..."?
verbal diarrhea
the american flag art with the indigenous person art is a weird combo. it's giving republican politician home. audrey hepburn would never stand for this.
The indigenous person is a member of the Ute Tribe who used to inhabit the lands the the city of Aspen currently sits on. It is said they cursed the land when settlers came into mine the area.
At least this house is decorated like a home, and looks like something people would live in. While I enjoy seeing these houses I dont undestand them. I bet they dont use and have rarely seen half the house or more, and it likely feels empty and wierd and there are less than 10 people staying there. The large majority of these houses are just places for billionaiers to park/launder their money. Many have never seen the house or rarely use it. I lived in Park City for a while and seeing one of these monsters with lights on at night was rare. That was 15yrs ago, I'm sure the lights are on now with automated houses but the point is the same, people just dont live or spend time at these monsters. I use to golf at wonderful golf course about 35m outside of park city, I cant think of the name now, but there was a developement with about 500homes all 6 or 7k sq ft and if you drove at night there might be 4 houses with lights on.
You look like Nathan cleary
