I have to say made the switch to Matt for the tuning on my G8 after previous tuner wasn’t what everyone makes him out to be, after a few revisions through email the car is already a million times better and still have some changes to make, he definitely knows his stuff, his communication with his customers is top notch..
Another video that has great info. I have not dived into Gen 5 tuning as I'm still grasping Gen 4 E36/E67. But this here has some great intro information for the concepts.
Awesome stuff, that truck is awesome! If that thing with a better exhaust and an intake making 400hp to the tire!!! That would be sick! Good info on the torque table and compare info on the LT4 fuel system
I've been driving my 5.3 with the LT4 HPFP for a few years and I just learned of adding the 32% fuel lobe to the leading edge angle. Wonder if this will fix some wonky stuff I've been dealing with?
Honestly it probably won’t. Eventually the PID for the HPFP would catch up and it would correct itself over time. It’s not the right way, but it wouldn’t cause a drivability issue in my opinion.
Hey @Matt lovely viseos and learning from you i am just a beginner taken some classes from elite tuned and now a member of your community 🙏 Question : LS 6.2 Gen IV with btr hot rod + corvette 95mm throttle body + Cnc ported head + long tube headers + Y pipe + K&N filter. Stock piston and rod what will be the engine whp and torque gain Appoication on chevrolet avalanche 2010
Do you have any recommendations on a CAI for 6.2 1500, mild cam, shorty headers? Keeping the turbos off my truck for now and I don't have the stock airbox.
At 9.45 in the video (driver demand) tables being high. Why would anyone set the values to 11,584.3 @ 100% & 0 VSS? Further more why would a truck not take acceleration when the tables are returned to the stock settings?
I like watching your videos. Have you dynoed a Ls3 with a Red Hot cam yet? I am doing a Ls3/4L80 swap in a 03' Crown Vic Police Interceptor. I am planning on running a Red hot cam. Richard Holdner just dynoed a Ls3 with a Red Hot and it made 565 hp. I know that's with no exhaust or accessories or in a vehicle. It's going to be alot less lol.
anyone on here done a Gen 5.3 and put a L86 cam in it? I'm looking for baseline tune spec to start at please. I was sold an L86 cam and they never told me I had to do a full tune.
Yeah these engines want ALL of the airflow with the mods that he had. That same engine in a car with the right upgrades and using the 1:1 gear on the dyno will net 500whp+ on that dyno.
All that money was spent on an engine build and swap, but didn't get a full exhaust. Also, the cam is an odd choice for this truck. Did you give him some recommendations for mods?

The global change for the +32% fuel lobe was extremely helpful. Thanks.

Hell I'm still trying to tune my po1 ecu 😢😢
Good stuff Maynard. Might need to road trip down.

Would adding a lash cap to the high pressure pump mess with the leading edge angle table?
also are you using a wide band for your error data, or the STFT?

Where you located.

I have. It’s a great cam. It normally makes 400-410whp on my dyno. I’ll have some LS Crown Vic content coming for you next week actually.
Any progress on the swap?
Assym my engine.

Do you offer remote tunes on gen 5 trucks?
I do depending on mods. You can email me. My email is in the video description for remote tuning.

I like the fact u lift them all and inspect the underside .. tuners around here are 👎
