But, people thinkong of moving somewhere are mainly concerned what the property taxes are, not the food & brew scene! It all about the bottom line-- what are the property taxes, are they calculated by the extra land & cost of house, or what? What the property taxes are is what I need to know BEFORE i decide! If those costs wipe out our income, food & brews are irrevelant.
@starsapphirelee5714 I hear you loud and clear. what areas would you like to hear more about in regard to taxes? I can keep them in mind as i create more videos 🤩
Really great information! Glad I found this channel a couple months back. Looking to move from VA back to Michigan and trade in Metro Detroit for West Michigan, and these videos have helped tremendously. Appreciate all that you do Vaughn.
Great video Holland has been my hometown since 1963 when I was born here . Really enjoyed this video. I worked at Village Inn for 11 years. Thanks for the video
Whoow, beaches and nature are amazing. Climate is like "real Holland/ Netherlands" : From May-September it's mostly warm and in winter you heat sidewalks?? Netherlands, has the best infrastructure in the world but never heard about that! Good job to show ur place! Tourists from overseas miss out interesting places, but maybe it interests me be originally Dutch.
I love your excitement for your town. We are thinking of moving there. I would work for the water district. coming in March to visit and look. and now really looking forward to it.
Heated streets and sidewalks attract me to visit there in winter to shop downtown which I do for that reason and free parking .. also rated happiest city also attracts me
@@livegreatgr Correct. By the way, Holland was the very first city to install the snow melt system. They were light years ahead of everyone else. Kalamazoo was the 2nd city in America and they replicated their idea from Holland. The seniors, disabled, visually impaired and women with children especially appreciate heated streets according to research. Holland should market it more. .to add, when saying Holland you should always says Holland city Michigan USA since there are other Holland cities around the USA and maybe Canada. Now we are global and so is youtube so we must let the world know that you are referring to Holland Michigan USA
Like any city, Kalamazoo has its challenges, and crime can be a concern in certain areas. However, it's worth noting that many cities experience fluctuations in crime rates over time, and efforts are often made by local authorities and community organizations to address these issues and improve safety.
Holland also has a big park called Kollens Park, which has a water fountain, stage, park, board walk, you can look across the water and see the south side of holland and in the warmer seasons every Thursday, there is a music performance being held at Kollens Park, and every 4th of July, there's a BIG firework show. Another thing about Kollens Park is that the grass is wet no matter what time of year it is, lol
Excellent! I’m planning to visit Grand Rapids , Holland and Chicago next May and I had no idea about such a great numbers of places in Holland to visit . Wow! I have to change plans and consider at least 2 days to visit part of all the attractions. In your opinion, how many days ,the minimum to enjoy Holland, considering that I have only 2 weeks to stay in GR , Holland and CHICAGO? I’m Brazilian. Thanks in advance for your reply.❤
I moved to Holland in 1995. I've traveled all over and I am very happy living here. The beaches are better than anything in Florida. Michigan offers tons of outdoor activities during every season. The population number is only for the city of Holland. The overall population is around 120,000. The 3 county metro area is roughly 1.5mil.
It sounds like you've found your slice of paradise in Holland since moving there in '95! With beaches that rival those of Florida and a plethora of outdoor activities year-round, Michigan truly has a lot to offer.
i’m a younger person wanting to move to a small town, this place looks great! but i have cats, and sometimes i like my windows open for fresh air, is it safe to have cats with all the tulips in the air?
Holland is a dog town, not a cat town. Most Hollanders really do not like cats very much. Grand Haven is the place to move if you have cats. Forget Holland.

I've been to holland 100s of times. I have never hit the holland beach. At the time i lived further north, and lived off a lake.

You forget to mention that it's basically a suburb of Grand Rapids which has an International Airport . ...25 miles away
Airport is 40 minutes away. Not close.
