I'm dating a Czech woman, and she can indeed drink me under the table! She was cold at first and I didn't even hear back for a few weeks after our first date, but since then she's warmed up. I asked if she liked shopping, she said no. Rather than go to a concert, she said If the weather is nice she'd rather play tennis and have a picnic. I love it!
I have to say that I almost agree with everything, except the beginning of the video because my girlfriend smiled to me since we met each other and I cried when I saw the hug because I remembered the last time we stayed together at the airport in January 2020, so I had to come back to Mexico and now I miss her so much :(

@@sendnoodless Since Coronavirus appeared, we were not able to do any trip because of I am right now in Mexico and she reminds in Czech Republic, in fact it’s easer to her to come to Mexico than I go to Europe but we are waiting for the day this situation gets better and we could be able to travel and finally we could see each other.
I don’t mind if I have to wait for more time, she is the woman of my life :)

Trust me,visit there! it is the most beautiful city in the world! plus the food tasty and the beer is great! :D just don't go there in Aprill like me becasue it is cold as heck in there (like one day it started at 2 degreec celcious then it got down to -1 and it snew!)

Prague is a must see, a very beautiful European city, especially for one who likes gothic architecture! Visited it in winter with bad weather but I still loved it!

Regarding the recommendation, there is a brilliant Czech sitcom from early 2000's called Comeback
It is about tge family of a fictional former singer known under the pseudonyme Tomi Paci, who is currently poor and owns an unsuccesful music shop; the show very popular in the Czech republic, unfortunatelly, no new parts are being filmed, but even after watching it the 5th time, it's legendary

If you could speak good english, I should recommend youtuber DreamPrague. She is Jennifer from Callifornia and she's lived in Czech rep. for 10 years. And for example in this video (below), she and her spouse were trying to answer question about czech realities. And you can switch on english or czech titles.

I'm from Czech republic and I agree but i think that lotta people will have paralyzed half of the face when speaking Czech xD
So beautiful yet so difficult even many Czechs can't use it properly.
And I can imagine the hell strangers have to come through as many languages don't have inflection. And the second problem for foreigners I think of might be our somewhat changeable sentence order.
If somebody has learned Czech, tell me please about your struggles. I am very interested in what is problematic about it as my view is biased.

Pro Slováky možná ano, pro jiné cizince ne.
Tak právě to byla moje pointa :p naučil jsem se česky koukaním na televizi ještě během dětství, a gramatiku jsem aspoň trochu absorboval čtením knih. Nepoužívám ji (s Čechy mluvím slovensky), no umím ji, i když určitě ne dokonale. Když mi bylo 5 let tak jsem dokonce mluvil česky s mámou, no jenom když jsem mluvil o pořadu National Geographics Skutečně divoká zvířata pro děti, který mi koupila k Vánocům v češtině. Podotýkám že ani nejsem z generace narozené v Československu, je mi 23 let. Čeština se mi moc líbí, je jako taková drsnější verze slovenštiny (snad tím nikoho neurazím :D) a písmeno ř má své kouzlo, nedovedu si představit číst české knihy nebo sledovat české pořady v slovenském překladu (který stejně většinou neexistuje).
EDIT - Písal som po česky lebo som si chcel po dlhej dobe vyskúšať, či mi to pôjde :D nie preto, že by som sa bál, že neporozumieš, ak ti budem písať po slovensky. Vcelku to snáď dopadlo celkom dobre, aj keď vzhľadom na to, že češtinu denne nepoužívam a nikdy som sa v nej formálne nevzdelával ani sa neučil z učebníc som sa musel viac sústrediť pri písaní textu v češtine ako v slovenčine.
Well, as a Russian man who dated a Czech woman I wouldn't say they obcessed about themselves appearance-wise(competiton among women is way to low in CZ) and they way more independent than russian women(paying for herself at the restaurant, taking the 1st step if they like you, etc.), for me they more kinda like German women but sometimes more beautiful.

And it is a main difference between these relationships, on the first date we do not talk about property or something. Just U and that's all... so sometimes it seems selfish, but whatever 😄😄😄
Competition among women is very high in CZ ( I am czech girl). just we are not fan of plastic surgery or that kind of stuff or extermely half naked appearance...
@@lindorina792 It depends on what place you comparing to. If you comparing it to Denmark, or Silicon Valley, Czech women are taking care of their appearance really well. But if you compare it to Ukraine and Russia(south) they are to relax and comfortable and generally prefer to feel comfortable over looking stunning in their everyday life.

They tend be far more impressed of a man who knows about the arts and other cultures.The ones primarily interested in money left years ago and are living in Miami or southern Spain. They are much more likely to own their home(without debt), have a career, and having traveled to many countries. It is very rare that a woman over 20 does NOT have a college or university degree. Many would like families but they are putting it off later and later each decade. Despite being the first women with full rights and own or head more businesses than men, they retain a high value on being feminine, well-groomed, and nurturing. Even if you met them on a dance floor out hiking in the forest, a first date of attending her favorite opera or art exhibition will be a sign that she can see you as a serious man unlike the tourists who hit on girls all the time based on the rumors of seeking western rich boyfriend.. In fact, bragging about things turn them off to a man. As a population, they are the most educated on earth. Meeting a Russian woman in another country like the US or UK were she lived for more than a year, adopt the money hungry norm of thelocal women, and are often even worse than local women, they adapt to the culture they reside in.

I'm not Czech, but I live in Prague, it's all true except that girls usually don't dress up here for a date. They are not dress to impress type. And I spotted my friend's art works lol
So accurate! One caveat though is she'll often skip right past the cold stage if she thinks you're cute and you clearly aren't drunk sex tourist, such as at a party or meetup :) Also, don't mention Russia. The whole country is still sore about what happened in '68..

This'll is pretty spot on. I met a girl in Prague when sightseeing with a friend, Prague is a beautiful country. She was a bit cold to start off but just make them laugh, even if it may be at your own expense. She spent the weekend with us and I went back to Prague a few times to see her and to show me more sights ;) . I paid for a few meals etc however they are independent proud women so she paid for other things. Peace from England.

@@stanspb763 Amsterdam, Haarlem, Gouda, Leiden, Utrecht, Amersfoort, Deventer, Doetinchem, Rotterdam, Den Helder, Alkmaar, Arnhem, Nijmegen, Maastricht, Heerlen, Eindhoven,
Lelystad (which is the worst because nothing historical) -
Those are just the historical cities in my own country.
Deventer (around 950 AD) and Doetinchem (838 AD) are comparable in age to Prague (around 900) although the first two are much smaller.
As for foreign cities, a few capitals in the countries around my own country which you can guess but I'm not going to bore people with the usual number of tourist cities in Europe.
Can't remember much of Copenhagen but the Danish do have a lot of cool Viking stuff like ships and graves and what remains of Viking settlements.
And of course Italy is very nice, especially the preserved historic cities like Florence and Venice.

Huh... I thought Czech women would be like Slovakians, yet the latter are not that cold initially. I mean, whenever I approached someone with a question, they did not act the way the girl in this video did; they were actually friendly. Damn it, I should have checked this myself in Prague :D
Most Czech ppl including myself and my friends are very unfriendly to strangers. If you ever meet someone from Czech he would be acting very unfriendly. But once we get to know someone better we are very honest and friendly... we can get even really annoying because we value ppl who we know very high.
Girl in this video was actually really talky... I expected her to tell him that it is Charles Bridge and really quickly walk away from him.
My experience tells me if you are introduced by a person they trust things go much smoother. Of course a bit of beer helps too :p but I definitely concur: once you get to know them, super nice and wonderful people. one of my favourite country in the world in fact
You are correct ! If you get introduced by someone who we trust we will trust you as well.
And you just have to say that our beer is better then anything else you have ever tasted... That helps a lot in a conversation (be careful not to mention any brand unles you are sure we like it ) :D

I am a Taiwanese living in Germany. I had my first Czech beer in Taiwan (brought privately from Czech to me.. how can you not love them) and since I always say: don't call yourself a beer expert if you don't know Czech beer! My experiences with Czech people is a long story.. but every time the thought of the country just brings a smile to my face :)

I'm a czech woman... Yes, we aren't as emotional as american women, but we like to be careful(we often bring you food, take a care of you, we love to have fun, go for a dinner,to cinema) :D. When it comes to beer, most of the women I know don't like it. It's a male thing. We rather prefer a glass of good wine. Anyway,you have a good point!

I'm Polish rather than Czech but let's say things are not so different around here. So the first time I ever went on a date, I couldn't withdraw money from the AMT and so the girl ended up paying for our entire evening. She didn't really mind it though, I guess she kind of felt safer this way: if she didn't end up liking me, she wouldn't feel obliged to meet with me anymore.
Guess that explains why I never got to hear from her again afterwards...
I am just like other Czechs here very grateful for not forgetting us, but to be honest... you captured like a small piece of cake called dating a Czech woman.😂 Seriously we are much more complicated and diversified by our ancestors. Have experienced the drinking beer part, was there some months ago in a certain club called Duplex, great vibe there, was holding a bottle of beer in my hands and this lady dancing Infront of me just took the bottle away from my hand and drunk it like it was some Limonade 😀 was shocked but in a good way, she didn't even say hello funnily but we got to know us, was a nice experience! You forgot to mention that you'll gain more respect from any Czech person by at least attempting to speak a little of their language, rather than assuming that they all speak English. The part about drinking is true, and Czech women aren't embarrassed to let men see them a little drunk; however, the notion that she can drink more than you was probably aimed at American men!
Czech people don't say "Na zdraví!" They do only when then speak to Russians, is russian manner! Young Czech people don't know this and don't use this.
I agree about cold begging, and warm continuing. They got used to black humor from Czech guys, so if you are a gentleman, she will definitely appreciate you. Also Czech girls are handy! She will cook, clean, sew, iron, making jam and bio yogurt... She wants a handy partner too. And she likes outdoor activities! So take her hiking)
