Most of this information I knew but you represented everything well and it was nice to see examples of everything. Good video!

Another great video. Let me think about it some more and I'll edit this comment. You got me to thinking, that's for sure!
EDITED: I'm a lefty so that has some big influences on my choices.
I too tend to prefer an axis lock for several reasons. Symmetry is nice in a knife, it's smooth, very strong as Benchmades own videos show and ease of operation are great qualities. The axis lock has been and will continue to be one of the best. Benchmade has had some bad press about QC but they sure do have a great warranty. I have a mini grip, reg grip, crooked river, 940-1, 810 and an anthem. I would never sell any of them.
I have a Spyderco Endura 4 and the back lock is good. It has an excellent detent, it won't accidentally open ever! I don't like the action. It's a tried and true design.
I have a Spyderco Para in s110v and the compression lock is good. I'm a lefty so it's not for me. I carry it but when using my right hand, I know it's a right handed knife. Seems strong, but it pinches me sometimes.
I have lots of frame locks from Spyderco, ZT and Chris Reeve. I like this lock more only because it comes on more knives that I like. The lock in itself is number two on the list. I must say, the CR's are the best feeling lockup. I don't put them in machines and bash the blades shut. I have also never had one close. I don't know what's the strongest, just the CR's really lock up nice. The frame lock is no problem for a lefty. In fact, some knives like my ZT 0450 and 0452 are better as a lefty. The lock side is my thumb side and its SO EASY to keep the pressure off the lock bar. They open so damn nice! I have never had trouble with a right handed frame lock. A few of my CR's are left handed. I like it. Somehow, it's easy to go back and forth between left and right handed frame locks so they are basically ambidextrous. I just don't trust them like an axis lock.
