The effect when you turn on the nitrous in payback, it's absolutely sick!!! About heat it's not the same feeling, but I like the new graphics of the nitrous!❤
In my opinion heat is a lot better. Tuning (car upgrades from payback was a garbage), story, physics, cops in free roam, map, these things are better in heat. But it's only MY OPINION.
@@KaP1s ok, cops are better. But what about the small and trivial map? The very very short story (i finished it in 2 days)? And the customization was a lot better in payback, it has the derilicts and the superbuilds. But, sure, this is only my opinion.
I have rx550 (it's not a very good card) and can play on medium/high in 1080p with 30fps without any problems. I see one bug when i was downloading a wrap for my car, then my game froze. But after restart everything was ok. I completed a storyline in 23hours. It's shorter than payback, but heat story is more interesting and characters are better. Payback was good, but heat is a lot better in my opinion.
"There's fewer pedestrian vehicles on the road" That must be nice, unfortunately for me i cannot say the same thing... pedestrian vehicles are always in my way in every singke night race, or if I'm just cruising during the day... 😕
@Cameron Watson Get gud. Two about re read what he meant. Hes talking aout the amount of cars in the game is far more increased at night. And regardless are a bit annoying but hey. Adds challenge
As much as Heat, could feel lifeless, dont forget its up to 16 players online now, and online behaves like single player, so seeing other players with a battalion of cops, makes it more lively.
I love both games, but i love heat even more as its the closest EA has become to nfsmw 2005. Only problems is it allows me to cook bacon on my computer. For such a new generation game, NFS Heat has a lot of problems concerning graphics and resource management. Other than that, the game is amazing
payback is the closest one for now, Even though it's not exactly the same gameplay (especially the autosculpt feature). But The crew battle (a.k.a league) and drift event remind me to NFS Carbon. That's why Payback is the closest one to NFS Carbon f o r m e. (Yes, i miss NFS Carbon too)
@@severinusbennaadikusuma9383 I sad that there are no cop chases in payback. Like there are but not to the extent of carbon. I love payback as well but it misses that key cop chases detail.
I absolutely love the fact that they made it so the backfire happens sometimes only out of one side of the exhaust system sides like in real life, i really want this game
A good note about Heats sound design is that not only can you tune your exhaust notes but the different upgrades from clutches, turbos, and engine swaps all make the cars sound different. And example would be the M3 GTR is supposed to have a V8 in it but regular doesn't. But you can engine swap it to it's highest tier which is the V8 swap.
We don't really need pedestrians in NFS Heat. I mean, we had no peds in old NFS games, like Underground 1, 2, Most Wanted, Carbon and more. (Excluding peds from the start line)
@@frowlinian8175in the underground series they were only there in the beginning of a race, not sure about most wanted (old school mw didn't have em for sure)
@@trojanman4715 I wouldnt say that, they add life to the city... doesnt matter if you can hit then or not. Look at something like Driver San Francisco; the game would have a completely different feel without pedestrians
I picked up the 10-hour trial of Heat, and it's gone by so quickly such was my immersion. The survival elements for night racing make such a large impact to gameplay. The risk of losing all your hard-earned Rep in a chase gives the pursuits real consequences rather than just being an amusing aside. I really liked the differentiation of Rep and Cash, meaning if you're low on one or the other you know what events and conditions you're going to be taking part in and can tune your cars accordingly. Also, whilst the clear-cut classes of Payback might not appear in Heat, there are races that feature more heavy use of off-road sections and some collectables on the map are set away from the tarmac so you'll need to make use of the off-road specialized parts in the Garage to get them; in particular there are several Billboards with dirt run-ups and ramps, which will greatly decrease your chances of getting enough air to hit them if your car only has road-going or track parts. I don't know if it was in Payback, but Heat shows you - when buying cars - the rate to which you can customize your car from 1 to 10, 1 being limited to just wheels, tires and license plates - to 10 with every body panel, corner and fixture being changeable. It has been a deciding factor for me even with the limited range of cars available in the 10hr trial. In my trial, I hit the Rep cap (level 10) in about 5 hours, but i'm sure it would have been faster if I'd focused on one car and stuck to only Night races. As it was, before hitting the cap I'd bought the Infiniti Q60 and modified it to equal footing with my starting Mustang, fully customized them both and did a bunch of collectable-hunting. By the end of my time I had also bought the Range Rover Sport, fully customized the exterior of it and finished the Billboards in a handful of regions. If you look through the current car selection, you'll find some with purple stars in their selection card. These can be gained by completing tasks within races, freeroam and clubs. For instance, hitting every Billboard awards a Nismo R35 GTR, being in a level 50 club awards the Ferrari FXX, and finding all the graffiti designs gets you a 370Z. Whilst this and other elements of the game reminded me heavily of Burnout Paradise, I think that's a good thing; I spent hours in that game finding and doing all the jumps and billboards, so any driving game that makes me excited to do what's essentially busy-work must be doing things right. I will be buying NFS Heat as soon as funds allow, and to be honest this has been the most excited I've been for a racing game since moving to PlayStation after Forza Horizon 3.
Roshill My BMW crackles, it sounds amazing. The problem is not ALL cars crack and burble like BMW cars do. Matter of fact I’ve never heard another car do it like the cars on heat except for BMWs. That’s a BMW thing. Heat is very unrealistic in that sense.
The newest” Need For Speed” was so amazing. I wish they did more like it. I hoped they make something so much like. I loved the spike amy the outlaw guy and the drift guy. It was sick like that. I personally loved how that game played out. It was a bit disappointing after you finish it because you dont have much to do after but overall i would rather want something like that then have a game like nfs heat with hardly any people. Car games should be hype and populated with people and cars.
Gotta say I'm really enjoying Heat. I had re-subbed to the EA Premier so i could play BFV with some friends and then noticed Heat was releasing the next day. I gave it a go and im really enjoying it. It's not quite the spiritual successor to Underground that i had hoped it was but feels like a successor to the NFS reboot of 2015. I was really hoping for drag races to make their return but sadly thats not the case. Even so you can play the full game for $15 bucks or $5 for a 10 hour trial though you are limited to lvl 10. Cheers!
Playing for about 20 hrs, free roam might feel lifeless in certain areas, but when in a race/mission the traffic is the biggest obstacle. It feels way too many cars on street so it's mixed bag
they were mindless fun. but low effort, just add a few supercars and big crash boom police for the children and mouth breathers. and a few races in between.
They should've done a semi-dynamic time of day, like when you choose day it's morning to afternoon, and night from just after sunset to first sign of dawn. Would've made the game feel more lively, I feel like it's morning all the time since the sun is always in the east, even night time looks like 4-5am when the sky is just starting to light up.
To be fair the Sky at night is my main Gripe in NFS Heat. Everything else looks like it is actually night time but the Sky has a greeny blue look to it which comes across as dawn which is annoying lol
So I played NFS Heat a few months ago and after an hour just quit, it didn't grab me, NFS Payback just came out free for PS Plus and it's really getting my attention! That being said the last great NFS game in my opinion was NFS Hot Pursuit on the PS3/360. It's been remastered. Criterion is back in charge of NFS. I hope the series makes a turnaround.
Yep! Played payback a day or two ago and it’s alright. But I mainly just wanted to ease my way back into racing games so I can get ready for nfs hot pursuit
@Azriel almaden i dont want to be unrespectful with u, but i totaly disagree. I played it 2 hours earlier and i just played Gran turismo sport (and gtSport is a more a sim than an arcade game in fact) and MW is really far from reality in terms of feelings with the cars and handling. But MW is way more accurate imo than the recent nfs, and i get bored of recents nfs that don't take any talent or at least skill to be played. (SoRrY fOr bAd EnGLiSh i Am FrEnCh)
@@nghiatito it's casual and not realistic but challenging. It has a lack of content. All you do is just riding. Personally I mostly play it for vibing to music but at the same time I really enjoy racing and fighting for positions.
Great video as always. I hope they give us an option to disable the aggressive sharpening filter and film grain in a later patch. At the moment, there's only a mod on reddit which removes it and it looks way better.
Amal Pushparaj you can change that by opening _Documents -> Need for Speed Heat -> Settings -> PROFILEOPTIONS_profile_ with Notepad. Search for _GstRender.Brightness_ and set it to 0.360000. This should make it look far better and you can play around with the value depending on your monitor.
Amal Pushparaj Yeah, I know what you mean. That’s why I hope for an official patch that allows you to disable both filters ingame. At the moment I prefer low contrast over this obnoxious image sharpening to be honest.
Unfair right ? It bothers me so much that a channel of this quality content is so underviewed compared to millions of views on shitty recycled vlogs channels .
When you're driving at +330km/h at night, sometimes a street truck will pop up in front of you as a result of you being so fast the game can't handle with rendering, at least for me, when i crash into these street trucks at such speed, it damages me as hard as a Rhino van, it's hilarious... and sad. Also normal cops start to pop up late too, in the beginning i managed to evade those odd spawns by looking at the siren light, it's the first thing that appears of the whole model of the car, wich happens to load too late, when i already crashed into it.
I haven't played Heat so I'm not sure if this has been added in, but getting chased by the cops in multiplayer you would think would be a no brainer for the NFS genre, but for whatever reason, game after game, they leave that out. I generally only play multiplayer with my nephews and once the cat and mouse game between the 3 of us gets old, the game usually gets turned off in favour of another. To keep us playing longer, it would be nice to have the ability to work together to get away from the police.

I love both games, but i love heat even more as its the closest EA has become to nfsmw 2005. Only problems is it allows me to cook bacon on my computer. For such a new generation game, NFS Heat has a lot of problems concerning graphics and resource management. Other than that, the game is amazing

None of those had peds? I swore they were in underground and most wanted but maybe I'm remembering wrong
@@frowlinian8175in the underground series they were only there in the beginning of a race, not sure about most wanted (old school mw didn't have em for sure)
Exactly. All the best NFS games had NO pedestrians. Pedestrians are for games like GTA in which you can actually hit them.
No peds are required. Only traffic is needed
7:28 looks like Burnout Paradise remastered 😂

They should've done a semi-dynamic time of day, like when you choose day it's morning to afternoon, and night from just after sunset to first sign of dawn. Would've made the game feel more lively, I feel like it's morning all the time since the sun is always in the east, even night time looks like 4-5am when the sky is just starting to light up.
Nah, people whine about the graphics too much in Payback. So they scrapped the dynamic time to make better visuals.
To be fair the Sky at night is my main Gripe in NFS Heat. Everything else looks like it is actually night time but the Sky has a greeny blue look to it which comes across as dawn which is annoying lol
TheWeskerProject Yeah same here. I'd very much prefer if it was the dead of night like NFS 2015. The sky should be black.
