people learn by doing. I can tell someone "just play the best deck" but that might not but what they want to do and I'd rather play with more people than fewer. Some people will naturally want to play stronger decks at some point, some people never move on past their pet deck, there's nothing wrong with that.

I thought cEDH was more about the mindset and intention approaching the game, and not about which commander a player chooses?
