i feel like phil made a mistake by blocking the ragavan

I think it was likely the correct move to let it through, as well! I understand his position that if the top deck is seedborn than it will be bad but the odds are just so low

Don’t mean to single out Phil, but he should have let the ragavan connect to get the treasure so that Tori had enough mana to pay for interaction.
Dan was about to pop-off and the “shields down” moment was obvious to anyone.
It was a bit uncivil not informing Tori he would be blocking the Ragavan, when it was clear that Tori’s intent was to solely declare Ragavan as an attacker only if it wouldn’t be blocked. Otherwise she, being new to cedh najeela, wouldn’t have swung.
Deception in cedh is fine but when deception doesn’t advance the board state in a way that is favorable for you, then it’s just irrational. In such cases honesty becomes the best policy.
Also Kinnan deck losing an interaction card or a counterspell isn’t the end of the world because it just means that some other player, instead of you, will be spending mana to counter Dan’s sieve instead of yourself.
The thing is we become so protective of our spells, irking us to see others take the and use them that we forget that political altruism, even in cedh, can sometimes facilitate one’s rational goal of winning.

I'd be more into watching them play except that... well, they don't really know how the deck they're playing works (Mod's words, not mine!); that doesn't always matter that much but Najeela is not particularly easy to pilot and has tons of situation speciric lines.
also, it ultimately didn't matter, but why cast a Deadly Rollick against a guy when he explicitly has blue mana floating in his pool??
