Thank you Charlie. Another useful exercise. Paying attention to the 'seemingly little things' in life takes care of life itself. I guess this works in all spheres as you once again demonstrated this on my favorite instrument. Often times one wants to forge ahead with speed, but Charlie comes along and reins one in. Your posts on RUclips are 'guitar gold'. Warm regards from Sunny South Africa

These are great Charlie! Good sequences in themselves and very much planting the seeds for you to create your own patterns in the same way. Spending time on just 1 string as well is something that's easy to overlook too - very tempting to just dive into the complicated 6-string runs without having a full grasp of the fundamentals.

Thanks for checking it out and commenting!!!! Yes, sometimes guitarists want to run before getting walking down cold 😉

This is very useful and I appreciate videos like this. What I'm struggling with is when I try to apply this on songs. I get lost on how to put the notes inside each measure and sometimes it comes out as triplets or 8th notes and maybe 16th notes. Some of this exercises with a metronome would be amazing. Thanks again.

Thanks for watching and commenting! I’ll try to get a video up with rhythmic examples - that’s a really good idea!
