    So the TFL has to be 100% or is it ok if it activates?

      TFL is worst guy for the job. Anterior glute med is best guy. Try arching your back less. Try pushing back into the wall more

      @@IanMarkow thanks for the answer - but somehow I forgot the word "relaxed/chill" when writing the question:
      I meant to ask: does the TFL has to be 100% chill/relaxed during the exercise or is it ok if it tenses/activates - as long as also glute mid activates?
      I am struggling with hyperactive TFL, especially in that left side which is my problematic hip, with weird dull sensations all over.

      @@hamidman6974 yup same answer. You can also bend the knee more and even put a chain behind that hamstring to make it more of a closed chain isometric
