In an ideal world, I would love it to be a major collaboration with LEGO. Something that gives us more sets after the Ideas and Dimensions ones that received, a whole LEGO episode that's a part of Season 2, and a LEGO Doctor Who Video Game. I think it's more likely to be a Children In Need minisode however. The number of Dalek merchandise being released this year makes me strongly suspect that we will see the Daleks play a major role in a Children In Need minisode, after their brief appearance in Destination: Skaro. As for live events, I would love a Doctor Who play like the one that Colin Baker and Jon Pertwee did. One starring David Tennant as the Doctor that comes to the Scarborough Open Air Theatre next Summer or the Summer after would be perfect.
I’d LOVE to see another colourised story! Yes, another Dalek story would be popular, but Tomb of the Cybermen would be my choice, because it’s such a good story and is only four episodes! Could they do a good edit of The Invasion, despite the two missing episodes? 🤖🤔 ❤️❤️➕🔷
@@mr.scarlo2234 oooo new Tales of the TARDIS was one option I thought of when I first read it in DWM but then forgot when it came to planning this video. Doh. Good idea about it tiring into season 2. What episode do you think it could be??
@@CulturePhilter maybe The Greatest Show in the Galaxy? 7 and Ace are a well loved TARDIS team and fits well with the Gods that this new era is going with
Philip doing the content we all want! I love seeing discussing and theories on stuff like what this secret project is and this video was great! Also yeah, a new colourised cutdown is more than likely happening as last year, when discussing it in DWM, someone (I can't remember who) mentioned that they were starting work on "next year's" which is now this year so... Also, there was a leak earlier this year that it'd be The War Games but idk if I actually believe that or not, although a Troughton story would be nice.
I think there's a real chance of something involving Paul McGann. However I think Russell knows better than to have two Doctor-centric series running at once. But certainly a one-off special is a real possibility.
Great thoughts Philip! I think it'll likely be either a mini-sode or colorisation. I can imagine regarding the live events maybe another arena tour like Doctor Who Live where it's a whole narrative featuring monsters and music.
maybe a teaser for who is the boss!?,or maybe like you said a children in need minisode!?,or tales of the tardis another unexpected episode !?,i don't know ,but i would like another spin off as the secret project!
Possiblity 1: So many companions have been shown to be a good fit for this, I'd watch an Ace spinoff ala SJA and I didn't even watch SJA except for when the Eleventh Doctor made an appearance. Possiblity 2: I hope not, it's done to bring fans into different mediums but honestly there's so much Who it's more likely to put people off Possibility 3: I don't think RTDs hints felt like this Possiblity 4: I certanily hope so, the timing is about right - I just hope they've learned their lesson and tone down the new music. The War Games seems impossible due to running time, but you could cut a *lot* out of it. Possibility 5: Almost certainly will be one, but again it doesn't seem like a SECRET PROJECT. It's too certain, too much of a given. I obviously will always hope for an Eighth Doctor time war spinoff.
I’m not sure children in need is too much of a given to count as a secret project. While Doctor Who usually has. SOME involvement in the night There isn’t always a minisode. Sometimes it’s a live appearance in studio of an actor, sometimes it’s a filmed VT behind the scenes / fan on set type segment, quite often during the Moffat years it was just a preview of a scene from the Christmas special. So I think the sparseness over the years of actual original mini-sodes for it would qualify it as secret. Especially as we haven’t heard anything about it happening yet.
The whole BBC proms programme (which is a whole 2 months of concerts at the Royal Albert Hall) is usually announced around April I think. Obviously there isn’t always a Doctor Who concert as part of it (this years was the first in about 11 years I think) But if you look on the BBC proms website around April it should have the programme and you can look then if a Doctor Who concert is part of it.
Hmm this is a hard one because I will come out looking mean and possibly miserable. For me personally I hope it is not another multi platform story or a live event. This is for purely selfish reasons. My personal circumstances mean I can't access the multi platforms so I never got to follow Doomsday and the same for a live event it's just not something I could ever go to. To explain I a severely disabled with two severely Autistic/ADHD children. If I am really lucky with a good year or mores planning I may be able to attend something one night locally. That year at least is needed as I need a carer with me and I need someone to care for the children. At one time it was possible for both but they closed the only respite centre down so yeah not possible now. So that's my selfish reasoning. I hope it is a CIN minisode or a new Tale's of the Tardis as being in the UK I can access those. For other International people I hope it's something they can access although I am not sure what that could be. Sorry for long and slightly miserable comment 😂😂
Sorry to hear about your situation. Terrible that the support like respite centers have been closed down. I can totally see why you’d be hoping it’s something to watch from home at no extra cost.
@@CulturePhilter hi Phil I am fine really just giving an explanation of why I prefer those options. I just make each day go as best as possible and enjoy Doctor Who whenever I can. The thing is with kids like mine all the small things other parents pass over they are huge milestones to be celebrated for us. They bring something unique to us and I can honestly say life is never boring 🤣🤣🤣

Whoa easy in the shouty all caps there 😄 I always love seeing 8th Doctor stuff so I’d be up for some kind of special or limited series with Paul m, although I don’t think it’s likely. And yes Unearthly Child should be back on iPlayer. I hope they sort the rights stuff out soon.

Love the Lego ideas. A full Lego Doctor who game has potential to be best Doctor who video of all time.

I don’t think they’d colourise a story with missing episode so Tomb is probably most likely Cyberman story. Makes sense after doing a Dalek one.

A new Doctor Who live would be cool. I never went to the original one.
8th Doctor limited one off series?!?
That would be great, I’m a big 8th Doctor fan. But alas I think it u likely.
It could be an animated original. We saw two of those during David Tennant's first era.
Ooo yeah That could be interesting. Staring Ncuti? Or a past Doctor do you think?

Very true (and was a lot of fun) but that wasn’t BBC/Bad Wolf organised.
I am personally betting its children in need.
