- Hurricane Ian passed right over my town as a category 3 storm. We got battered, but I was more fortunate than a lot of people including my friends. I am praying for my community and all the people to be safe and to rebuild our little town. Thank you to all the people who helped us and who helped me and Lemonade. I'm thankful for my staff who stayed with us during the storm away from their own families, and for my family and friends.

Glad you’re ok. Talking to my friends there…it’s a mix of hope and frustration. That county is one of the most resilient, and I know they’ll be ok. There’s already churches and organizations and just people that are helping each other out.
Hang in there God is by our side always.

I am about 1 hour from you and my husband has been working in Wauchula and Arcadia repairing the train tracks. He says the flooding is pretty bad. Enjoy your family and try not worry.

Glad you and Lemonade are okay, and that your brother and Jen could help you get to safety where you could rest and decompress. Even if other people fared worse, your experiences and emotions are still valid. But you're right, we can support others. "He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. Jen, that looked and sounded really scary. I only experienced 1 hurricane in the 70's when I lived in Florida and Orlando was our refuge during the storm. I feel so badly for Lauren, John and the kids. Also the people who experienced flooding from the St. Johns River.

So glad to hear you and Lemonade are safe! Hurricanes can be super scary, and from what I’ve seen, this one was pretty devastating. The sound of the wind was eery and would have been terrifying to me, too! It’s great your brother and friend were able to help get you out. Enjoy the time with family! 😊

Important to have a go bag list ready to pack from so you don’t forget things when stressed. Include things for pets and medications and scripts and ID documents
So glad you are with your family and your pup right now. They will be able to clean up by the time you go back so it won't be as stressful perhaps. The good Lord is watching over you dear girl and has never left your side. I can not imagine how hard this all is and praying for the state of Fla

Been through a few hurricanes my self with rita and Ike being the worst and Harvey.. in rita we lost our entire home blew off the slab that's when we moved away feel the same way you did Nervous And Anxious. Remember everything is fixeable.. Stay strong and hopefully you get back home to wachula soon. Enjoy the time with your family. Ps: please let us know how your cabin held up or if there is any damage. Or if your start a list of things people can send you that others may need

that's so scary. I am glad you had a group of people around you so you were not alone. I get so sick to my stomach with snowstorms that get me locked in. One time that happened when I was in a state hospital and they converted the gym into a place for staff to sleep as the roads were not passible and everyone was going crazy because the staff were also scared and irritable.
Awww friend when the lights stayed off and I heard ur voice crack on came the tears for me. So nerve racking. Like I said so glad you're here & home. Enjoy yourself things will be good when you head back after some NE PLAYTIME. Grab a real Del's before the stands close soon
