Jason, at this point, we all know that you have made a decision for a coaching change. This had to be such a hard decision to make, knowing your skating history with Kori. From what we could see, Kori was absolutely wonderful with you, and I can only imagine how difficult it was to make this change.
As you also know, the theme for USFS for this past year or so is "get up." This coaching change for you, I feel, is your "get up" moment. It is absolutely normal and okay to feel disappointed about this past Nationals. Every single skater has those rough performances and seasons. As a performing musician with 25+ years of experience under my belt, and as an adult skater, I can certainly vouch for this. Regardless, we all still love you as a human being, and I fully support your choice in figuring out how to move forward with your skating. You have brought so much joy and passion to the skating world, and I'm truly excited to hear more of your future endeavors. :)

JASON YOU ARE THE ONLY REASON I EVER STARTED WATCHING THE MENS DISCIPLINE. I'M SO SO SO SO SOOOOOO HAPPY TO HEAR YOU ARE GOING TO KEEP GOING!!! YOUR SPIRIT LIFTS SO MANY PEOPLE MORE THAN YOU COULD EVER KNOW, INCLUDING MYSELF. AND! YOUR SKATING IS AMAZING! I'D RATHER WATCH YOU CONNECT WITH THE MUSIC AND THE CROWD THAN WATCH SOMEONE DO 10 QUADS. WHAT YOU DO IS SO MUCH MORE MEANINGFUL AND TRUE TO WHAT THE SPORT IS SUPPOSED TO BE. THE OLYMPICS WAS A HUGE BUMMER WITHOUT YOU, AND IT WAS A HUGE BUMMER IN GENERAL TO BE HONEST BUT THE OLYMPICS AREN'T EVERYTHING. MICHELLE KWAN HAD WAY MORE OF AN IMPACT ON THE SPORT AND THE PUBLIC THAN, WELL, A FEW THAT PLACED ABOVE HER DURING CERTAIN BIG MOMENTS, BUT I THINK THAT'S WHAT KEPT HER GOING, WHICH MEANT SO MUCH MORE TO ME AND THE SPORT AND I THINK TO THE PUBLIC IN GENERAL, AND I HOPE THAT YOU WILL KEEP GOING AS LONG AS YOU CAN AND AS LONG AS YOUR HEART IS IN IT.. BUT LIKE YOU SAID, MAJOR PERSPECTIVE. SO SO SO CAN'T WAIT TO SEE YOU NEXT SEASON!

The BIGGEST thing we came away from Stars on Ice in Maine was that you are one of the kindest funniest people ever. We were blown away by what you gave to the performance. It was the best, most energetic performance we’ve ever seen. And the graciousness you showed us in the meet & greet was beyond anything we ever thought. To my daughter and to me, too you are a star, a celebrity, but you are also a very kind and warm human being. And we are fans for life. The tickets to Stars on Ice were to hopefully pick up her spirits after losing her dad right before Christmas. The show was great, but the kindness you showed her was a game changer for her. We still talk about it often. Thank you, Jason, for working so hard, for giving such amazing performances and for being so gracious to your fans. I love the jacket and what a perfect phrase to embroider it with. That was so thoughtful. When I was in nursery school we had to bring sleeping bags for nap time and I was having a tough time with napping so my mom sewed a heart to the inside and it changed everything. I still remember it. Anyway we think the world of you,, Jason.

I love you Jason!! I have had the same experiences over and over again. I know how awful it feels to know you could have done better and you could have been on top but you didn’t do your best. You have really been an amazing inspiration to me, showing me that it’s okay to fall down and fail, because I know it will make me stronger. Thank you for sharing your experience with us, it really means the world to me that you are doing great and that you are excited for the future!! I will see you at the Stars On Ice show in Anaheim!! Love you so much Jason, I can’t wait to see what you have in store for new programs and cheer for you next season!!!! ♥️💪🏻

Jason - my heart broke for you watching this vlog. BUT - the feeling I had at the end of it was one of hope and admiration. I know you'll come back and I know you'll be stronger than ever. Your personal strength and the support you get from your family and friends, not to mention all your fans, will carry you forward. You know what they say - "what doesn't kill us makes us stronger" and I truly believe that's going to be true for you. The first time I met you I told you that Kurt Browning was my all-time favorite skater but you were fast catching up. Well dear - you're on top now. You make us all proud to be figure skating fans. Can't wait for next season.

I found you through your Hamilton and DEH skating programs, but you're a light to those who know you and follow you. I was so sad that you didn't get to make the Olympic team, but I'm so glad to hear that even though it was a rough journey coming out of that defeat, that you're back up. I've been following other skaters that are on Stars on Ice with you, and I've loved seeing your happy face through their Insta stories. Keep your head up, and I'm anxiously awaiting what you have coming up! I'm just sad that I can't come to Stars on Ice, I have finals when y'all are in LA :(

You have no idea how much getting to know you has meant to me. You make me want to be a better person. I will always be a fan win lose or fall. One thing I’ve learned is sometimes you have to fall first to be a success. So glad you have found yourself. Please don’t let anyone try to change you. You ARE good enough. Karen and I loved the reception you gave us at the meet and greet in Hartford. You always make me feel special. Keep being the same loving person and AWESOME skater you have always been!

Sometimes, it's hitting that low that allows you to find and build who are in life. You seem like such a great guy. Haven't met you, but it's obvious from your eyes you are a thoughtful, kind person. You can fall a million times and you'll still get up to find support behind you because you deserve it -- not just for being an incredible figure-skater, but a really good person in general. And, if I'm being honest, I prefer your skating to many others because you are so strong artistically, as well. I know it's all about the stupid quads these days, and that probably messed with your head a bit last season, but your skating is *so* much more than that. It's too bad technical elements are rewarded to the detriment of artistry sometimes, but you have no reason to doubt yourself or your skating 'cause you're fierce.

Thank you for sharing your hard-earned reflections. I admire all the hard work that goes into a few minutes of breathtaking skating performances. But beyond that, skating for me is a sort of allegory for the idea of not giving up, and keeping on getting up every time you fall. I gave up on something about 3 years ago, and while still lost, I continue to try to find answers. I think the best way is to just get back on that horse without thinking too much of the what-ifs and all my fears. Don't know if I'm there yet. But you're an inspiration, and a beautiful, beautiful skater, too. Saw you live on Stars on Ice at All State Arena in Roselle IL! :)

(Brace yourself for cheesy song lyrics) There's always gonna be another mountain. It's always gonna be an uphill battle. Sometimes, you're gonna to have to lose. But it's not about what's waiting on the other side. It's the climb!
Everything you've been through makes you who you are. Dreams don't always come true and it hurts but if you've trained hard and put everything on the ice, be proud. Know that you were true to yourself. Know that you've moved someone, inspired someone. That is why you're already a winner :)

Jason, you are too sensitive and sentimental about keeping Kori Ade as your coach. Trade her in for a coach who will teach you the quad jump. You can do it a million times perfectly if you get the right coach and Kori Ade is not that coach. It's evident to everyone who follows your career.
