    Princess Alexandra finishes her tour of Hong Kong.

Princess Alexandra arrives and waves, she walks down to the quay and looks out at the junks as they sail past. L/S of crowds in Stanley village welcoming the Princess. C/U of one elderly lady. The Princess's car arrives. Various shots as she tours the village and waves, she shakes hands with a lady.
    Various shots of the Princess with Governor Robert Black at his lodge where he is holding a reception for the Princess to meet officials and leaders of the new territories. Various shots as she meets them and chats, good C/U's. M/S of her with Police Commissioner H.W. Heath, they look out across the fields and chat. She looks through binoculars as he explains the territory to her. Various shots of the fields.
    L/S of shanty town in So Uk, and a new development area of flats close by. Various shots of the blocks of flats, people hang fish and washing out of the windows to dry. The camera pans down to the Princess walking down some steps, she waves. C/U of little boy with sleeping baby strapped to his back. C/U of little girl holding a baby. The camera pans down the flats to people stood on balconies. Children play on climbing frame in front. M/S of smiling people looking down at the Princess, she waves up. M/S of sign saying 'So Uk North Government Primary School Welcome to H.R.H. Princess Alexandra'. The children wave Union Jack flags. The Princess stands on a balcony and waves back. Various aerial shots of the children waving madly. The Princess chats with teachers. C/U as she walks along smiling.

    They spoke as if they thought Hong Kong would remain a colony forever, even though they knew they were only leasing large portions of it. They really should have thought that through
