Brian, it's great to see you healthy and still carrying the ETR Safety Cone. Over 25,000 of us still want to see this industrial short line back in operation. As the opening to Knight Rider always said, "One man can make a difference!"

I stopped by here in early August and my heart sunk. I thought the dream dead from the looks of things. Was so happy to watch this update and rail traffic is coming back!!! Back at the turn of the century I used to switch this trackage as an engineer with CSX. At the time the only customer was a roofing supplier that received boxcars of roofing materials.

You've been missed ! ! ! ! Glad to see you again ! ! May I suggest, on your next equipment rental, get a Ventrac with brush cutter. You ride it like a riding lawnmower but cut the large 'crap' out of the yard. I've seen that machine chew up 1/2 to 3/4 inch branches. Great machine ! ! Again, welcome back 🙂

Good to see an update. I feel Kinde of shaken to hear that the East Terminal Railway may be up for sale. You are living the dream all of us railfans would love to live. But I do understand that there is only so much one person can do. I'm also sure you darn near put your life savings in to this railroad. Maybe if you do sell it, you could build a live steam scale back yard railroad. Or if worst comes to worst, join us scale modelers and have a ball building model trains. I do want to thank you for taking us on this wonderful journey with you.

Someone always has to lay the groundwork. My brother started a installing sewer systems, business was excellent. Then breakdowns started, customers started pushing to get work done. He was operating on a small profit margin. A small but bigger company then he had offered to buy his equipment and finish up with his customers. You have started something that possibly others can continue. Best to you for whatever the future holds.

You should have rented a flail mower mounted on a tractor. In about a course of 3 hours you would have had all that vegetation mowed down. The flail shreds the growth and would make it easier for removal. You wouldn't be pushing but riding in a protected cab and you could have gone to a nice diner for a decent lunch as a reward for your efforts. The goal is progress with the least amount of energy spent.😎🚂🚃🚃🚃✝

That's alot of hard work but it does look awesome. If it were me I'd go and get a skidsteer or a mini excavator with a grinder attachment. You could not only clean all the underbrush but with a excavator you could trim back all the overhanging trees make your entire R. O. W. clear and not be such hard work. Yes it's a cost to rent but well worth the faster cleanup and not as strenuous on you. Hope all goes well with the sale but it be regretted if you not remain a part of the ETR when it is sold!!

    Welcome back Brian,
So nice to see you back on ETR. Glad to hear you have a customer. The place was looking good after you chopped everything up . Please stay safe when working out there. Once again you did a great job on the video .😎

I am so happy to see you Brian and hear the update on the ETR. I would also like to see it brought back to life. If you do sell it, please let us know what the plan is under the new owner. Best of luck and I hope things work out for the best for you and your family. If you ever get down to Plant City Florida again, let me know. I do not live far from there

I worked the rails for 10 years for Union Pacific Railroad. For the past 5 years I've been a engineer for the same company

Not long after this channel started, I suspected it was just a pipe dream and nothing would ever become of it. The reason: he constantly was underestimating the amount of work required on projects, and using equipment that wasn't big enough for the job. It would take him forever to accomplish anything. Instead of a channel about building a railroad, it's been more of a view of a guy playing railroad.

I appreciate everything you have done for us in terms of sharing your knowledge and wisdom. Even though you are going to be passing the railroad on to someone else, I want to see you continue to make videos in the name of teaching. The East Terminal Railway should continue on as a different format, but it is up to you after all.

The ETR, SoCal Chapter, is always here and looks forward to another visit, from our national chairman, to our Fullerton stomping grounds.

It might not be the thriving independent rail operation we all dreamed of but the work you did brought life back to the steel it otherwise might have never seen. Those tracks could have been sold for scrap and never see another train again. I'd call that a success

Great to see a video again. Hoping whatever path the future takes for you it is for the best. Glad to see that there may be a good use for the ETR even if it is with new management. Best of luck and keep us updated every now and then!

Good to see the class 3 G.O.A.T with the goat 🙂. Your travels on the ETR mirror many of us with older aspirations and younger kids, and how the paths tend more to cross and diverge than run parallel... our oldest is now living in NYC and I don't see our other two kids picking up the family business, but at least they've been a big part of the journey so far. Always enjoy watching you put American "know-how" into action and having aspirations as wide as the Great Lakes for your little railroad...

Great to see you again. I was just thinking of you yesterday and was wondering what happened. What good news and really complement you on your persistence of your goal. Good luck and keep on highnballing. I will be following you.
