- Day two of Warbird Roundup for 2023 was clear and warm in Nampa, Idaho. Local and out-of-town warbirds put on a show for the crowd throughout the day.

Thanks!
Hoyt Mauldin thank you very much. We appreciate this. It all helps the travel kitty when we go to air shows.
Superb pictures and sound. The Mustang crossing the contrail is great. Corsair spreading it's wings great too...the whole video was GREAT. Loved the eagle....thanks for the post!👍👍👍
Joe you are always welcome! This stuff is fun!
Fun? I would say FUN to the max!@@airailimages
Great vid, and I especially appreciated hearing ONLY the engines...no other "music" is necessary!
And it was nice to see a P51H model in the mix,( First time I ever saw one of those flying!).
👍
Glad you enjoyed it. Yes, we strive to position our video camera where we can get decent ambient audio, and not near PA systems where we must delete commercial music from the soundtrack. So please know if you ever do hear music overlayed in our videos it is only, and reluctantly, because the ambient sound was unusable for some reason.
@airailimages See...you get it!
Alot of others don't...airshow folks want to hear the engines...THAT'S our music!😁
Nice work Fred!!!
Thanks!
Awesome video mister 🤩
Thank you for your kind comment. And thanks for watching!
merci pour ces belles images, ces beaux avions, et ce magnifique rapace ( un aigle?).
j'ai un grand meeting la semaine prochaine près de Paris, j'ai hâte, a bientot;
Je suis heureux que vous appréciiez nos vidéos. C'est toujours bon d'avoir de vos nouvelles.
Another fantastic video, Fred! Now, I've seen that P-38, "23 Skidoo", at an Offutt Air Show, years ago, when she flew with the mighty Raptor, as the Heritage Flight, and, if you were to pick up either the First Release version, or the Updated Edition of the F-22 Raptor In Action book, you'll see a picture of that Heritage Flight.
There's just something graceful and elegant bout a P-38 in flight. Glad you enjoyed the video. Here's a link to some air-to-air video we did out the back of the Planes of Fame B-25 with the P-38 in trail in 2017 at Warbird Roundup: ruclips.net/video/4oo71eRN4Ew/видео.html
Take a look at air-to-air video of the Planes of Fame P-38, taken from the tail turret of the B-25, at Warbird Roundup 2017: ruclips.net/video/4oo71eRN4Ew/видео.html
4:08 mark I couldn't help but think of Henry Fonda in The Battle of The Bulge. After seeing Sat and Sunday's videos, I need bigger speakers. The sound was as incredible as the images.
Anyone know what happened to the MiG-25 at Thunder over Michigan? Both pilots ejected when things went sideways on them, and had to go swimming for a while. The MiG was a loss.
Early speculation is hydraulic loss. Turbine was still running at ejections….
Should know more soon.
