Did you do a video on how you built the homemade drag. I’m going to build one this morning to do a small trail around our property so my wife can practice her skate skiing. Would like to see how you built yours for ideas. Thanks
Sorry we don’t have a video on that but the key is to have heavier Timbers on the outside edges and then 2 x 4’s that go across at an angle. Have another beam that runs down the middle that’ll take all the force of the pulling. If you’re using a smaller snowmobile than ours, make it 4 ft wide vs 6 ft. Good luck!
Bearcat 7000 XT snowmobile. The ABR drag was shown without the teeth being down and working the snow. Many locations would roll first and then use a drag or Ginzu/G2 grooming device. It would help you if your drag had combing wings on the rear to help with the overlap issue seen in the video.😊
The home made one you said does a better job packing the snow but you only are using a drag and a tracksetter if you had a roller the hubs have bars for adding weights plus a compacter that honestly is heavy and sucks to carry but the home made one is WAY cheaper
Dane is a jamming good little skier! Great dad to set trails out the door. Are you adopting?🙃

@@PureJoyFarms ok great. Appreciate the quick response! Have a great weekend!
I enjoy seeing the grooming process! Has this amount of snow been common for you each year?
Sorry for the delay, I thought I responded last week! Yes this amount of snow is pretty typical for us. Thanks for tuning in!

Does the snow mobile have a 1st and 2nd gear or? How much strain is it on the snow mobile? Looks good what you do!
This machine is geared low for towing. The older models had high and low. This only has low.
