Like "bait and switch".... If you noticed, many popular black sitcoms barely made it 5 seasons and if they did the last season was rushed and often left audiences disappointed (Living Single, Martin, Fresh Prince of Bel Air, The Parkers, etc). Even actors from the shows have shared similar stories, they call it the curse 100 (bcuz of syndication purposes) shows would want to not go over those numbers of episodes but it's there, you just have to research

And Keenan has a new project coming soon. Just because you don't see all of them at the same time doesn't mean their brand of comedy doesn't work in today's climate.
NBC didn't want John Witherspoon because he was on The Richard Pryor Show in 1976 and that show was on NBC for a year and got canceled because of a comedy skit showing Blacks creating the Pyramids and Europeans rewriting history. Witherspoon was on that skit and NBC basically blackballed him.
It warms my soul to see so many of the Family up on game and knowing the politricks that occurs in Hollywood and other places. Our best bet is having our own platforms and content and then LICENSING it to them. Flip the game on ‘em.

The network executives keep proving they have no eye for what works by rejecting John Witherspoon. The same thing happened with Friday and Chris Tucker, had the director let the production company win Smokey would have been instead played by Chris Rock or Tommy Davidson. They try to take shortcuts by filling the cast with bigger names not considering cohesion of the actors.
The intro change had nothing to do with upsetting fans. You just added that to make your video longer. The theme song being changed for the DVD/Streaming bothered fans not the season 4/5 song change. Do better research
