- Enjoy a ride on the Disney Skyliner, filmed in 4K UHD 60fps! I rode on the Hollywood Studios and Art of Animation/Pop Century line for this video! I also tried to zoom in to get a better look at the awesome views from the Skyliner! It’s not easy to zoom since the ride is very bumpy at times, but I did get some great views of Hollywood Studios and Spaceship Earth!

We were at Disney in 2018 and they were building the Skyliner. Glad to see it's up and running, looks like fun.
So many good memories of the Skyliner. 🥰
The feeling of accelerating on the first part is fun, my mother and I rode around a few times and met a local couple who lived there and could ride whenever. One day I would also like to retire there.

Stayed at Art of Animation over the summer. This brings back some great memories of the skyliner.
Reminds me so much of the Disney Skyway in the Magic Kingdom many years ago. So much fun.

I’m going to Disney World next month and found a deal online where I could actually afford to stay at Pop Century and ride the skyliner, but my hotel reservation I made ahead of time is nonrefundable so I’m watching this to live vicariously through this video 😭
I loved the skyliner me and my family even rode it for fun a few times after we were done In the parks
It's kind of a short ride but, the Pop Century is a pretty cool ride going over the lake. One we have taken a few times. We enjoy riding the skyliner.
I agree Dennis! The Pop century line is the most relaxing one for me. I take that one and the Hollywood Studios routes the most

I have yet to ride the Skyliner but its on my to do list. Maybe Disney will consider extending it to Disney Springs and AK. Great footage 4K!

Dang these things book! It must transfer from slow cable to fast one at the station. Amazing!
It comes off the cable at the station and then it goes around the station on wheels. Then when it takes off again it reconnects to the line

I just found out about this, and I am SO FREAKING HAPPY! Caribbean Beach was where I stayed My first time going, and Epcot is one of my favourites! I can't believe we can now ride a cable-car direct, that was such a fun idea! I wanna go back sooooo bad!

I have a fear of heights, so I can't do this. I rode Peter Pan's Flight last week and felt nervous.Thanks for providing a video.
I remember I went on the skyliners on my Dad's birthday we went from Hollywood to EPCOT. When we went over a resort (think it was Caribbean Beach Resort) The vehicle slowed down. I have a fear of height's, so there I was like 30-60ft. in the air, having a panic attack crying my eyes out.

The last two times at WDW we stayed in the Jamaica section of Caribbean Beach Resort. The Skyliner has a constant hum that is loud enough to hear clearly while trying to fall asleep. It sounds like that time I flew in a C-130 cargo plane from Germany to New Jersey. Completely ruins the resort. They should have added more monorails but Bob Cheapskate wouldn't pay for it.

For those of you wondering “is it free to ride?” yes it is, however, you can only get on at a Disney resort or HS or Epcot. As of 7/2020, you cannot enter a Disney resort if you are not staying there or have a dining reservation. The days of visiting a resort to “check it out” and maybe get a table and meal at a resort restaurant are over. As a central Florida resident we used to do this between annual pass renewals-park at the Poly, get something to eat, ride the Monorail to the GF and Contemporary and make an afternoon or evening of it. Not anymore-no more freebies for us “schleppers!” I think it’s a shame that this has come to pass. I think it’s also ridiculous that you have to pay to overnight park at a Disney resort after paying exorbitant rooms rates.
Not true. I just went there, and I'm able to eat or visit any resort I want to. I even went to the poly and saw the MK fireworks. And I was not staying there. So...
Hopefully they will connect all the parks with this. We will be staying at Caribbean in October. The last time i.wqs at Dusney Animal kingdom was under construction. Hoping for a new experience

Unfortunately I probably won’t be able to film the Magical Express since I would have to be flying in to Orlando to ride it to a resort but I’m sad it is going too. I hope they have a different replacement planned for it

Finally rode it a few weeks ago. At first, I had my doubts, but ended up loving it. Even more than the bus transportation. I wonder if they will expand the Skyliner to Animal Kingdom and Magic Kingdom one day?
It really is an awesome transportation system! The views are stunning. I have a feeling they will extend it to Animal Kingdom one day, but probably not Magic Kingdom since they have the monorail
@@4KWDW Fair point. Magic is also the furthest, so a gondola ride there may take at least half an hour. Thanks fot answering

Haha yea I didn’t have time to go that route unfortunately! I rode the Skyliner to specifically film a walk around Art of Animation! I do plan on riding the Epcot line again soon

Took A Day on my vaca in February to stay at Pop Century just so we could ride the Skyliner!

How do you get on? Is it still or does it keep moving? Do they shut the door or you? Or is automatic? What are the seats like? Do they make you ride with strangers?
It keeps moving but if you need more time stepping on, the cast members are able to slow it down for you. The doors are automatic, the seats are like a wooden park bench and if it’s busy and you’re a small party, they will group you with another small party to share a gondola. Typically, the skyliner is not that busy so they will more likely than not just give you your own gondola
Is it air-conditioned inside?
Unfortunately no, but it has open windows
BRIEF COMMENT: WDW IS ALWAYS A MAGICAL EVER CHANGING VACATION DESTINATION. THIS VIDEO IS WONDERFUL TO SEE. BUT I NEED TO POINT OUT WHAT WDW NEEDS NOW TO TOP IT ALL OFF ARE BRAND NEW MONORAILS TO REPLACE THEIR AGING FLEET. YES I KNOW IT COSTS BIG BUCKS AS USUAL, BUT IF THEY FIND CREATIVE FINANCING, IT SHOULD GET DONE WITHIN THE NEXT 1-2 YEARS I HOPE & PRAY. C'MON WDW STAFF, GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER RE: THIS SUBJECT, YOUR PARK CAN'T AFFORD THE BAD PRESS. GET MOVING W/NEW MONORAILS!!
What’s the best way to get from Hollywood studios to Epcot?
Havnt been to the park since 2007 and going back in a few weeks.
The fastest option would be the Skyliner(if it doesn’t have any delays). The line connecting Caribbean Beach to Epcot is down pretty often for unknown reasons. You can also take the boat or walk from Studios to Epcot, which I would say are the most reliable options
What is the giant blue box next to the Hollywood Tower Hotel. Time marker 2:53?
I believe that is the building rock n rollercoaster is inside
Do they have A/C and how many people are in each?
They don’t have A/C but there are open windows that bring in air. It can fit up to 10 people
I'm asking every major channel this, and no-one seems to be willing to answer: if you already booked a hotel in someone else's name as a gift, how can you make dining reservations for them? I obviously can't use the app, because I'm not the one going

Animal kingdom is not connected by skyliner or monorail?
No it isn’t unfortunately. Animal kingdom only has bus transportation

Yes anyone can ride it! You can board it at the resorts

Anyone can ride it! But you aren’t allowed to park at the resorts just to ride it. You can only park at the Skyliner resorts if you have a resort reservation there. The best way to ride it is from Hollywood Studios or Epcot if you are there, or if you take a bus to one of the Skyliner resorts
