Wow-classic but far-too-often-forgotten Capitol recording artist. Lovely voice. Her later, more soulful hit, ‘Something Cool,’ still stands the test of time. Lucky for me, my WWII-era grandparents saved all of their many records, hundreds and hundreds of them, and they loved to replay those records even after the recordings had become “oldies”. They always kept a great big console stereo that played 45s, 33s and, yes … 78s 😄. Those 78s sure did spin like mad, but the music they preserved was usually outstanding.
