What a lot of people fail to realize is that shadow's attack erased the clouds all the way PAST THE HORIZON. And they're standing on top of a very tall building. We're talking maybe 15-20 miles of clouds ANNIHILATED. That's insane.

Well. To be honest, Shadow is so overpowered that he could have used any type of weapon and win anyways.
But it was still a nice detail.

Rose had it so rough. Was outed for attacking Perv Asshat, went on the run after being "infected", saved by Shadow, killed her dad, lost her title, her kingdom, and her last shred of humanity was her connection to Cid with that wrapper - ontop of it all she gets labeled 666. If starting anew didn't exist for her with Shadow Garden, she'd probably lose it. BTW fun fact - she's actually in Ep. 1 at the very end scene with Cid and his girls.
I love that Iris was so freaking mad this entire episode lol. She feels useless and it was shown the previous episode but Shadow was the icing on the cake.
Love the flash step Cid does during his fights. Great episode.
Just realized that was 664 and 665 along with 666's back with new haircut flashing by. I really can't wait to see her again in season 2!

The most important thing to remember, is that Shadow is PLAYING. He doesn't think that anything he is doing is real, & just does stuff because that is what he thinks his persona should do.
Example - He built the "ruins of alexandria" because he wanted to make a hidden city - but then his people took the place & ran with it, he doesn't even know its been changed.

Bro.... Iris told him "You have wrought havoc all across the capital", meanwhile here she is literally destroying building in said capital, frightening citizens too all for what? To satisfy her ego?
And Shadow doesnt care enough to call out her own hypocrisy. He's like "Yeah, whatever you say..." since he has def wrought havoc in the city if you look across the entire Season, he prob dont even mind if she blames the destruction wrought during this fight on him.
At least, till where I am in the novel, Rose is yet to find out Cid is Shadow.

Having read the manga and knowing about stuff in the light novel this anima adaptation sucked balls. They butchered so much. this was soso when it could of been much better. Don't believe me go read the manga, they ruined so many excellent parts and had stuff all over the place that would of come across much better if they had followed the manga adaptation to a T. After they completely tossed out some of Shadows awesomeness around the whole goddess trial in episode 12 I couldnt watch anymore and drooped it.
I have read the manga and no they didnt ruin anything, all the important scenes from the manga and novels were properly animated and they even added a lot of extra stuff which was just amazing.

You're the only one who thinks they did a bad job with this adaption.
Your mistake is comparing the manga to the anime. The manga isn't the original source and is in itself a butchered version of the LN for the sake of comedy, which is fine because it's great. But to say that this adaptation was bad is a terrible take.
Why this dude comparing a tv show and a book?
@Val because the anime is an adaptation of the book so it needs to do a good job at it (which it did)
